Nokia :: E63 Starts Downloading All Previous Messages When Retrieve New Message
Aug 8, 2010
I've just bought an E63 and have my email address set up on there. When I go to retrieve new messages however, it starts downloading all my messages over the past 2 years. I don't want all these on my phone! Is there a way I can just check for new messages?
I started using Onedrive and enabled automatic upload with wifi. I noticed when taking pictures and connected to wifi that Onedrive starts downloading almost immediately. Is there anyway to have the Onedrive App download at specific times (or even have any options) or should I look at a different App on the market that might handle uploads more to my preferences? I don't need my phone hanging on uploads as I'm trying to take pictures.
I guess the other option is to take it off automatic and just remember to do it myself every now and then.
I am currently using a Samsung S6 and decided to download my photos from my Motorola; however, I have forgotten my password and the device is not recognizing my goggle password when I use the forgot password feature.
I have a Nokia 6120 that saves SMS messages to the internal phone memory. Only 20 sent messages are retained. Is it possible to access or retrieve older sent messages?
I am getting this error even after restarting the phone. I've got the BestTaskMan app which allows me to close all applications apart from the system critical ones but it still doesn't work.
My cell phone has always been a Nokia. The latest upgrade with AT&T, I got the red Nokia 6350. Phone works fine except that I am not able to send or receive multimedia message from my family and friends. Is there a feature on the phone that I did not turn on to make this work? MMS messages always received with a message read: :"Multimedia Message error, unknown network error".
About a week ago, my iPhone 5S started acting very strange. Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.
I've been receiving emails through the Galaxy SII stock email app just fine for about 6 months, it's synced with my pop3 account which is also on my PC. However, I tried to access emails today: "No Messages", not even any previous messages which I usually keep back for a week.I deleted the settings and re-added the account, same problem. I even tried an alternative email app, still no emails coming through.
I have some pretty valuable and memorable messages/texts in my old phone, and i want to keep them. There seems to be no option for that inthe phone. Please suggest what to do. And no my previous phone does not have the bluetooth or the transfer-to-computer optiong, all I can do is save messages in my sim.
His text message gets interrupted halfway through by an old message he sent before (be it a previous message from a few minutes ago or from weeks ago!) It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. It's getting so frustrating cos I have to keep asking him to text me again and a lot of the time I just get another 'cracked' text!
I have been trying to restore my earlier BBM messages through Desktop. Instead it wiped out my existing messages. I back up all messages on desktop when I sync contacts. So I am sure all my BBM messages are somewhere in the back up.
I downloaded a FB upgrade, declined to reboot now, and now I can't retrieve FB messages, or text or call any FB contact and the menu popup will not open on FB. There is no "option" icon in my applications folder for whatever reason.
I have a Curve 9360 (about a month old). Some-one sent me a picture, but i couldn't open it - got the message RIM Retrieve Error. I also received a business card from another blackberry user via sms, bur also couldn't open it - got the same message RIM Retrieve Error. is thee anything I can do?
Unfortunately, all my messages and message settings are gone after i composed an sms,the phone froze and I turned it off. Strangely, all backups done with nokias file utility have disappeared, too. Any ideas? Memory card or nokia (symbiab) issue?
I need to retrieve some sent messages, but when I go to view folder, it only shows the oldest message and I can't find any way to view more recent ones.
Yesterday I downloaded the 'crunchSMS' app, and enabled the firewall so that my texts would be redirected to the app. After trying the app I decided I didn't like it after all and uninstalled it so that i could go back to using the normal texting function on the blackberry. However, I forget to disable the firewall until just now, and when I did so it said there have been 8 text messages blocked by the firewall. When I disabled it, these texts did not reappear. A couple of them could be important and I could do with reading them - does anyone know how I can access these blocked messages?
I have a question regarding Past BBM messages. Can I recover or retrieve my past messages from my service provider? I share My AT&T& account with my business partner. As in our numbers are in the company name though we use different numbers and handsets. I am tensed if she tries to read my personal messages and bbms. I have looked around online but failed to get any reliable answer.
