View 7 Replies View RelatedA strange thimg happened to my nokia 6120 Classic (i got as a gift in July 2009). Four days ago, the battery was nearly dead, left it, went out for an hour, came back, battery dead, put mobile on charger, an hour later, blank screen (lights for few seconds), left it charging for even te whole day no life, rang it from another mobile, "off" voice mail, tried other batteries, no joy, turned it off and on million times, flicker of bright light for few second which dims gradually over another few second then screen goes off completely. Never really turned out to allow me to do any salvage trial AT.i have no back up, no software on my PC, when connected mobile to PC could not update or download as mobile is always OFF, so it is not recognized by PC.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my nokia 6120 for a while now and it has always been a reliable phone, but yesterday for no reason it decided it wouldn't open my contacts or let me create new messages. I turned it off thinking it may have just been glitching or something but then it wouldn't turn back on? I removed my sim card and it started up fine except I still couldn't open the contacts, etc so I then tried to factory reset it and it wouldn't let me open it so I attempted a hard reset by hitting the four buttons but it just turned the phone off and back on with no difference to the phone what so ever, please is there anything else I can do to fix my phone? I love my 6120 and it would be a real shame if I had to get rid of it.P.s the sim card is fine,
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy cell phone has always been a Nokia. The latest upgrade with AT&T, I got the red Nokia 6350. Phone works fine except that I am not able to send or receive multimedia message from my family and friends. Is there a feature on the phone that I did not turn on to make this work? MMS messages always received with a message read: :"Multimedia Message error, unknown network error".
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had a Nokia 6120 for some time now and it has never given me any trouble.Until about a month ago it just stopped sending messages,It would say "General: Memory full, close some applications and try again" I have tried everything I can ever think of for a whole month and nothing seemed to work so I thought I might have a look on here.
Here's an update to the problem:
I was able to track down the problem to the settings by backing up the entire phone, doing a factory reset (*#7370# with lock code 12345), then reloading the sections one at a time to see which one screwed it up. Whenever I loaded settings, the problem seemed to return. So there you have it.Make a backup and reload everything except settings if you want this problem to go away. Or write angry letters to Nokia to get them to put out higher quality software for an $800-$1000 smart. This is by far the most frustrating problem I've had with a cell phone, and there's no reason a stupid bug like this should exist on so many handsets (not just E90, it seems to be a problem on the E71 and several other phones) for so long.
C'mon Nokia!
The thing is, I'm not a real technology geek and I have no idea what this means I have restored all factory settings with the lock code 12345 but that didn't change any affect to my problem so what does this post mean I have to do?
How do I make my phone to ask me the security code when I want to unblock my keypad?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 6120 Classic phone and I decided to do a hard reset. The problem is all the tutorials on the net warn me that at some point during the procedure I will be asked about a security code. What if I don't know that code? Is there any way to check if the code is the default one (12345) without bricking my device and paying a visit to a Nokia support center?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI store my contact mobile phone #s in international format (ie +61 4xx xxxxxx) so they are accessable from overseas when I travel without having to edit. Outlook 2003 seems to put a space character by default after the country code, so these appear as +61 4xxxxxxxx in Outlook. When I sync my Nokia 6120 to Outlook this space then gets transferred across to the phone as the # for the contact. When I receive anything from the contact (phone call, SMS etc), the number I have saved for them does not exactly match the number that comes through (either because of the extra space, or because it will come through in Australian format ie 04xx xxxxxx) and the contact does not get recognised by the phone, and simply appears as the #, not the contact name.If I send an SMS first & this is replied to, it comes back correctly identified, but new messages etc from contacts are not identified.
Is there any way to remove the space that Outlook seems to put after the country code by default? And is there any way for the phone to recognise +61 4xxxxxxxx and +614xxxxxxxx and 04xxxxxxxx all as the same number for the same contact?
