How I can switch from 3G to EDGE on my Nokia 6220 classic? I find that 3G tends to drain my battery a lot when I use apps such as whatsapp and I'd have to recharge my phone three times a day which is inconvenient for my occupation.

After installing the latest version of PC suite (7.1) on my PC, the application doesn' t recognize when my phone is connected in PC suite connection mode, although when it is connected in USB mass storage mode the windows recognize it. The message that appears on the screen is :
"Ovi Suite/PC Suite does not recognize the connected phone.Ovi Suite/Pc Suite cannot read the required information from the phone.Check that the connected phone is supported by Ovi Suite/PC Suite".
After searching the forum I found a similar topic for other phones, but although I tried what they suggested: completely uninstalling any nokia software from my PC (including PC connection wizard etc) and after reinstalling PC Suite AND Ovi Suite latest versions both, the problem still remains. Therefore is there any solution for this or at least where can I find an older version of PC suite to install it?
I'd like to know how to move the Music Player Application to the expanded Memory Card.(It's mentioned it can be dome on this site: http://mobilereviews.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=505&tab=5) OR How can I point the music player to play music from the memory card?
There's a folder in the memory card called 'Music' but it doesn't show up when accessing music from the music player application. At the moment I have to go to: Settings | Data Managager | File Manager | Memory Card | Music to play music, rathern then just open the player and go straight from there.

It seems that whenever I take a picture using the built in camera, the SD-card's filesystem gets more or less corrupted (the pictures are saved on an 8GB MicroSD card FAT32 formatted).When checking the filesystem after taking one ore more pictures using latest dosfsck (a unix tool), errors range from "Free cluster summary wrong" (which is more or less harmless), differing FATs, and truncated files (in all my test cases images that were just taken).Other applications are also affected: I had no voice in my navigation application until I repaired the file system using fsck.

I can load the app up no problem over packet data, 3G, GPRS or whatever available but when I click on the email address box to type my in address, it stays white and nothing appears. View 5 Replies View RelatedI like my e73 that i got a part of t-mobile upgrade with full price option. i like the fact that it quickly connected to the web etc usnig WiFi inside my house - i had some hiccups connecting at other places and checking my gmail using WAP. but a bigger problem, when i head out of my house - my e73 phone goes from wifi (pink hotspot tmobile circle) to 3g - i live in dallas fort worth metro area. i see many bars (horizontal lines stacked) to show a good 3g reception. after i have crossed the street corner, my cell phone is not able to go through the contacts book to call someone. as soon as i reboot the cell ph, it is all normal. making contacts, other folders run on memory card memory, did not fix it. i have hte latest patches - all got thro wifi.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 100% 3G signal covering in my area. But my new Iphone 4S everytime tries to switch it to Edge. When I re-slide 3G toggle in setting it helps for 3 to 10 to turn back 3G signal. My previous Android phone didn't have this issue.

Is there an application or way to lock an Iphone to edge and then switch to 3g as needed? On my Windows Mobile phones I can run an application called Bandswitch which lets me select whether I want a 2g or 3g connection. Since the Iphone doesn't have stellar battery life to begin with, such an application would really help me conserve my power usage.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 3Gs model that after doing the update to IOS 5 and later versions, now just randomly switches from 3G to Edge network whenever I'm using random applications. It'll just shut off the 3G network, go without coverage, and then kick back into Edge network. After thinking about it for a couple of minutes, then the phone will randomly switch back to 3G.
Why is it that the new IOS 5 causes our 3G phones to run like a pile of fail? I find that I have to shut my phone off every other day to kill background applications to ensure that the processor doesn't get jammed up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI resently bought a Nokia 6700 classic. Before I tranfer al my date from my other phone, I checked my software version. I was 7.60. I check the newest version and that was 7.90. So I decided to update my phone. I made a backup of my data and started to updat my phone. But the update failled. Every time I tried, I go a white screen with the words "Test Mode".
So i tought: "Maybe it is my problem. So I conneceted the USB cable directly to the main board for my pc. I re-installed al software. But still no succeded update.
Ok, I'm new but not entirely stupid (so I've been told). My 3120 Classic tells me, courtesy of the OVI store, that apps do apply to the phone. Yet, when attempting download after sending the link to the mobile phone, I get the same error message - - ovi does not work with the current model. I updated the Nokia software for my phone/model, still nothing.I'm really interested in Adobe Acrobat as an app if that is indeed possible. I did do a search for "3120" and "Adobe" before launching this post.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed connectivity cables and nokia pc suite, when I click on connect to phone in pc suite it comes up with usb not recognized and in screen box "unknown device".I have since found out via nokia forum that you now don't have to install connectivity cable driver as they are now in pc suite.Help appreciated.Also this is my first attempt at trying these installs so I may have gone wrong somewhere though I did follow all the instructions.

I have loaded maps for Hong Kong on to the phone, and updated the phone software to the latest version as recommended by Ovi software. When in Hong Kong the phone fails to get a GPS lock despite being left to try for in excess of 30 mins. I have tried setting with and without AGPS, with and without network access.
