Oct 12, 2011In my Nokia C7 device, If I want to select dual or 3G in network mode, I have to deactivate power saving mode. In other words, when the power saving mode is active, only GSM mode will work and 3G/video calling will not work. If I deactivate power saving mode to make a video call, device starts heating up and power in battery decreases very fastly. How to keep power saving mode active in dual and 3g modes?

Sep 25, 2012So I am having a very strange problem. I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode.This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!

Jun 18, 2011I bought yesterday a Nokia X2-00 and been exploring it for a while, so far so good, pretty happy and satisfied with it, but there's a problem that bothers and I can't seem to find a solution for it. About the screen-saver, I can, for example, put it as a digital clock, and set a timer for when the phone to switch to screen-saver mode. Problem is, I don't seem to find anywhere an option to play with the sleep mode - no matter what, about 10 seconds after the screen saver goes active, the screen goes totally black (goes into sleep mode) and I need to press a button to wake it up. No digital clock display, no nothing.I need to be able to see the clock (and possibly an icon for missed calls/new texts) without having to touch a button. On all my old phones you could play with both screen saver/power saving/sleep mode options, but not here. What can I do?

Apr 30, 2014Today, I turned on my extreme power saver mode. I turned it on at 1 p.m at about 11% and at 3 o'clock it was down to 4% . That doesn't really seem like any kind of power saving to me. I burned up 7 percent in 2 hours, and I wasnt using the phone. I think I might've used less power had I not done anything!!

Nov 17, 2015Just made the jump from my trusty S3 to an S6! I usually try to conserve the battery life of my devices, so I'm used to keeping power saving mode on pretty much always. Since I know it's always enabled, I want to get rid of the notification in the drop down menu that's just stating the obvious: "Power saving mode enabled."
I've tried long pressing on the notification (leads to a system app called "Settings Reveiver") and looking for the Power Saving system app settings manually (only found one called "Power Sharing"), but every viable option seems to have the "Show Notifications" option enabled and grayed out so I can't change it. Is there any way to get rid of the annoying notification?

May 18, 2015Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?

Nov 22, 2014Last night, I went to bed with 30% battery. Because I tend to lose 15-20% overnight (approx. 8 hours), I turned on UPSM. I woke up before my alarm this morning and checked my phone for the time, only to see I had 1% battery. I had a backup alarm, because the phone was dead 30 minutes later when the alarm should have went off. I went from 3.7 days approx. battery life on UPSM to dead.
From my understanding, UPSM is supposed to turn data off if the screen is off, correct? If it doesn't, I found my culprit as my apartment gets horrible data connection for being in a city, so it would be continuously searching for that connection. If it should turn it off, why did UPSM not work? Nothing came through during the night (calls, sms, etc.).

I attached my Ppwer Saver Estimation and saw that even when in Ultra Power Saving Mode my phone will only last for 11 hours in 50% battery?? That is very far from what I am expecting, because lots of info usually with Ultra power saving with 10% battery will last for 24 hour.
Is it normal, or there are something i must do to prolonge my battery life?
