BB Curve :: Connecting 8520 To External GPS?
Mar 30, 2012I've seen a few other messages about my problem, but I still don't know how to solve it.
I have a BB Curve 8520. I want to use a running app and because the 8520 doesn't have a GPS, I bought an external one; B Speech keychain GPS.
My BB can find the gps en it shows that they are connected, but when I use the navigation on BB maps of MapMyRun there is no connection.

Nov 28, 2015I am trying to connect a 1 TB external HD (Seagate Backup Plus) to my Galaxy 5 phone. HD is exfat formatted. When I connect the HD to my phone, it recognizes that a new USB drive is connected. Unfortunately, it only sees 196 MB. I loaded the HD with my iTunes music files, and hoped I could access them using my phone, as I have more files than will fit on my iPod. Unfortunately, I can't see any of the files, and my file manager says there are only 196 MB in the drive.

Jan 14, 2010The new kind of t9 with nokia navigator 6710 is really really bad, I'm searching to get the older one on this phone.the problem is that when you press * to change the word, the phone become slower, and open a new window where you can see the words and choose. this thing is really uncomfortable and make you really slower and harder to complete the sms.the big problem is that you can't enable or disable this option, you must use it! this is a very bad thing from nokia, cause people must choose their way to write sms.i can disable and enable t9, so why can't i enable and disable this option? this is a bug from nokia in this phone!please help me to find a patch, a software or something else to solve this problem, or if doesn't exist i need someone that advice nokia to put something to download on the site, to solve this problem.

Apr 14, 2010I bought two 6710 navigator phones a few months ago. I have numerous problems with these phones. Is there anybody else who have problems with this specific model. This is suppose to be a Navigator phone, however the GPS is giving me problems. I would like to hear from you on this forum.

Jan 7, 2010I used to have a bracket for my old 6110 Navigator which was was fitted with the power supply jack at the top of the phone.The bracket has the power jack inlet at the bottom. I am looking for a similar solution for the 6710 Navigator which also has the power inlet jack on the top. So far I can not find any such solution for this phone. Anyone have any solution for this?No good solution to have the charging cable come in on the top. Cannot see that Nokia has bothered to care about this problem.

Also keys are hard to press and sometimes i have to press the send button 6 or 7 times to send a message? Jan 9, 2010Nokia must of know about the zooming problem with the 6710 navigator.as you don't release a product on the market unless you have tested it first.so i think they knew about the problem but decided to ship it out any way and relyed on it's staff to solve the zooming problem with a software upgrade but that has not happened because there is no solution for it so nokia why don't you come clean and say there is a problem with it.I'm taken my second one back tomorrow maybe go for a different phone.

Jan 7, 2010When I'm using my 6710 Navigator in the car for navigation & listening to the directions via the car stereo (Bluetooth connection). About the first 1/2 second of the directions are missing. For example instead of "Turn right" I just hear "Right". I can sort of make my way but its hard not hearing the beginning of all the guidance. If I listen via the phone's speaker the instructions are complete. I have a 2009 Hyundai Getz, so its not an old stereo & have installed the latest maps/software on the phone. My 6110 didn't have this problem.

Occasionally it wont recognize that I have pressed a button despite having pressed it several times and now it starts another function when I press a different button. My AP uses static IP address, and it is setup correct also the phone, but when I want to connect to internet by native browser, system shows error(translated to English) "invalid server name", it shows in others applications too but there was different errors names depending on application. I can only get access to my router, access point and devices connected to internal network(behind router like PC's, laptops or others), in public places like schools or government institutions I don't have troubles with connecting to internet. Error is occurred only in my and some of my friends private networks. I am sure that's my phone is setup correct, because in this same configuration laptop is working. Why I can't connect with external network?

Jun 4, 2010I've had my e71-1 for only a couple of months now and noticed that it randomly hangs during menu navigation and especially when either trying to make a call or ending a call (most noticeable when 'number busy' is displayed). It can take at least 5-10 seconds for the phone to respond at which point it suddenly cycles through multiple functions due to me having pressed various buttons to try to get it to respond during the hang.I have tried two different firmware versions (400.21.013 and 410.21.010; I'm currently using the latter) and this phenomenon occurs on both. I have not installed any additional apps/games. And the phone has loads of on board memory still free as well as the 8GB memory card that is encrypted despite being virtually empty.I am at a loss trying to get this problem resolved. It's quite annoying saying 'goodbye' to a person and then you can't end the call immediately. I've done a forum search but have not found any way to fix this.Moreover and totally unrelated (I think), there seems to be something wrong with the external speaker on the phone. When I navigate around the menus, the beeps emitted are often crackly. This can also occur when I receive confirmation beeps. Despite this, the quality of the speaker is actually good when it works. The phone hasn't been exposed to any water or even out in the rain so this surely is a build problem?

I have saved the SMS's that were originally in the inbox to a separate folder in saved items, but there is no option to do anything with these, to transfer etc.. I really really do not want to lose these messages, there must be some way to save them. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!!!
