I have recently acquired a 5800 XpressMusic and have been trying to connect to Parrot Bluetooth. I am able to pair the devices but phone book is not synchronising. Have gone into phone book and selected synchornise and then the Parrot name but without success.Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it.
View 5 RepliesPhione model Nokisa E72-1. I have for months been synchronsing my E72 with Outlook on a laptop that was running XP. I have now got a laptop running Windows 7, on which I downloaded the latest version of PC Suite. Whether via Bluetooth or via cable I now get a warning message that reads: Unable to read / open Outlook and so I am unable to synchronise.

View 11 Replies View RelatedMaps 3.01 crashes for me whenever I select the "Synchronise with Ovi" option. I recently upgraded the firmware in my Nokia 6220c from 3.23 to 5.15. At first I could not install Maps 3.01 through maps updater on my PC but user OviKovi kindly posted the sis file and maps, in another thread, which I installed manually on my phone. That allowed me to run Maps 3.01. The only issue I have now is that I cannot synchronise with online Ovi Maps because the phone application crashes.
When I had firmware 3.23 installed with Maps 3.01 I could synchronise. Now I can't.
I cannot synchronise my contacts since January 16.I obtain an error message with codes like 80043aa3 or 80043c93 or 80043bd4.What can I do.what I have done wrong.

1- Change the ringing tone to some mp3
2- Edit a contact to have a name like
3- Let that contact call you
The phone rings with the default tone (not the mp3 it was set to). The only way I found to correct it is to revert to more humanly names in contact list. This will be more annoying for people who save their friends with IM nicknames that contain lots of special characters.
I have a problem with the Contacts on my Phone, I had backed up all my Contacts on a Memory Card, and restored it on my 5800. However when now am trying to backup my 5800 through Nokia PC Suite or OVI Suite, Out of 726 Contacts, only 250 get backed up, the others don't.. How do I resolve this issue...?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe contacts stored on my phone's memory are not being displayed. If I change the "Contacts to display" option to phone memory and sim memory, or sim memory alone for that matter, it displays all the contacts stored on my sim, however no contacts are displayed when I choose phone memory alone. I have tried copying all my contacts from sim back to the phone and still nothing. It's weird because when I do a memory details check on my phone's memory, it's saying that there are 83 contacts stored. Even if I try to manually add a new contact to the phone memory, it STILL is not showing up in my contacts list. I have had this phone about 5 months now and this problem only occurred about a week ago, before that everything was working just fine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI had assigned a photo to one of the persons in my contacts. It worked perfectly. After some time I decided to delete this and not to have any other photo assigned to this person, so deleted the same thru' Options-->Image--.Remove( in contacts). Still when I received or made a call to this no. the photo got displayed. Then I deleted this photo from the images folder on phone all together (it was in phone memory). Now there was no photo display during receiving - making calls to that particular person. After this I once again copied the same photo to its original Images folder. It again gets displayed during calls.. Though there is no thumbnail display against the person in contacts..

I want to sync it with nokia suite, but I need to activate the connection with the phone first, as I suppose. Is there another way to, maybe bypass the connection-selection-screen on the phone or automatically setting up a connection?

Why is taking so long to sync what must only be a few KB of data? I have less than 100 contacts in there.

I have recently updated my 5800 to the long-awaited v40 firmware and so far it's great, but I've got one serious issue with it. In the previous firmware, the contacts on the homescreen used the default number when I pressed the telephone icon, but now in the new firmware when I select a homescreen contact and press the call icon, a popup appears asking me which number I'd like to call. This is slightly strange, seeing as the same contact selected from the Contacts Book correctly uses the default number without asking. I have tried removing the default number settings and setting it again, and also removing contacts from the homescreen and adding them again, but neither worked. It's pretty annoying, because having certain contacts on the homescreen is meant, at least in my opionion, to speed things up, like speed dial, but now it requires an additional click before the call is made... So, anybody know how to make the HS contacts use default numbers?

I had a Nokia 5800 Xpress, and it was always locked using "Phone Auto Lock" due to having sensitive information contacts, sms, emails etc. as below
Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. >Security > Phone and SIM card > Phone autolock period

Ever since i updated my X10i software to ver 2.1 I cannot connect to my Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth Car Kit. It worked fine prior to the update, but now, it recognize the device, and pair, but doesn't properly connect. No matter what I try. I know it's not the CK3000, as my BlackBerry 9700 works perfectly, I also reset the CK3000 and repaired only my X10i, but experienced the same issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI DON'T want anything but NOKIA for my too-many-sim-problem (4 phones carrying at this time!).Bought C2-00 recently hopeing that I will be happyer with my 2 bussines number's (from 2 countries) being able to conect to Parrot CK3100 car-kit. But happines was premature, since C2-00 was unable to deliver decent sound level (I CAN NOT HEAR WHAT PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF PHONE CONNECTION R SAYNIG!, changde first C2-00 for another one, also bought sim-free with original Nokia 2-year warranty) thru pre-built-in speakers in my Skoda Octavia. But in exactly same car with exactly same car-kit with exactly same settings and exactly same volume level my Nokia X6 or my Nokia N8 or my Nokia C5-00 deliver flawless volume level coming from people I'm talking to.
Btw same two C2-00 also delivered VERY -VERY poor volume level thru earpiece-speaker, and when I turned d volume up it was like my speaker-phone was ON (which in every situation was not) - everybody around me could clearly hear what was the other person whom I was talking to said.
Problem 1:
The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?

(Product code: 0575581) iPhone users get the update directly from apple on the day it is released, why can't nokia do this same. I know people on this forum keep on saying it's the mobile operators problem but it's not. Nokia have control over this just like apple have control over the iphone.
Either nokia should release the update once all of the operators have customized the software or they could release the software and give the operators 2 weeks to customize it, if the operator doesn't bother in 2 weeks, nokia should give the generic version to download.
