Is it possible to change the digital clock format in the Nokia 5230?Using the telephone settings I'm just able to switch between analog and digital, but I cannot make the digital display clearer. Is there a way to change the display font size, or type, or to choose among a selection of these ?
I tried in the phone. It is Factory Restore. This does not delete the phone memory.I want to delete all the contents of the phone. Just like it came when it was new.
i would like to know if it is possible (and how to) to completely format my nokia 5230 and reinstall the software.
i want to do this because i bought it with the default settings of a different provider than mine, and some apps (such as nokia ovi maps) do not seem to work right.
that is: i would like the phone to be as is if i bought it without this provider specific settings and preinstalled apps (which i cannot uninstall and won't work with my provider).
p.s. i have already tried the weir button combination (red, green, camera, on). but i didn't work: the phone returned exactly the same as when i first turned on, with all this wrong provider settings...
I inadvertently removed the HTC digital clock widget from my home screen. I have tried to restore it, but only managed to get either a very large or a small analog clock. How can I get the digital one with the weather summary back?
I got a problem with my 5230. Everytime I want to open clock or configure my alarm, it said "System Error". I can do nothing with my clock, as I travel to foreign country and need to reset my time (I turned off the Automatic Updates). Also, my alarm can't be removed since I can't open the clock. Here's my specs (Info from *#0000#):
-soft. ver. 20.0.005 -ver. date 23-03-2010 -model Nokia 5230 -type rm-588
I'm about to loose hope on my Nokia 5230. The first was the battery problem. It was empty in a day and a half on very moderate use (swiched off during the night). When I recalibrated the battery the things got better but still far away from the specs on Nokia site. And yes; I have tried all the tricks to save the energy (GSM only, 30% screen brightness, no bluetooth,....).
The second I discovered, that the GPS is basicly useless. It wont lock on the sattelites no matter what. The GPS was one of the main reasons to buy 5230. If someone got lucky to find some sattelites - how good is the accuracy? Is in the range of 6 meters or less as with Garmin?
Now I have discovered, that the clock is not showing the right time. It is loosing minutes as someone said to it that one hour has only 59 or 58 minutes. I still have to discover the logic how the clock is counting minutes. I have tried with and without automatic time update. By the way; the phone has the last firmware.
So if the clock is useless then the alarm is useless and I can't use it on my buisness trips.
Is there anyone else with the same problems? Is there any solution to this clock problem? Some settings I've missed?
Someone would say; for the price everything can not be perfect.
So, is this the logic (Nokia logic):
-we will put in the GPS, but because of a low price it won't find some sattelites
-we will put the battery in the phone but because of the low price it won't last more than two days
-the phone will have the clock but because of the low price it will not show the right time
If anyone could tell me how to change the clock's format on this phone which is unlocked and if this phone is similar to another model. I wanted to change the format to display the A for am P for pm after the time not before. So in the upper right hand portion of the screen, it shows A08:00 since it can be somewhat confusing, I prefer 08:00A.
My friend SWIM has a Straight Talk Moto W385 and he wants to change the clock to 24hr time format.SWIM is using PST. After starting PST, SWIM creates a new "feature file" and reads the data from his W385 handset. SWIM changes the clock format setting to 24hr and saves the file. Then SWIM tries to write the data back to his handset, but PST prompts SWIM for a subsidy unlock code.
SWIM has no idea what his subsidy unlock code is, nor does he know how/where to find it.How can SWIM either:
A). Get the magic code to finish this process via PST?
B). Make the 24hr format change using another method?
I have just bought a brand-new E5 and i love it. but i noticed something. when i put the standby mode to "Basic" the clock is nowhere to be found. how is this? is there a way (without changing the standby mode screen) to place the clock on the main screen?

Being a sound engineer and involved in different aspects of music production, one of the features that made me purchasing the 5800 was the 'Digital stereo microphone' mentioned in the specifications... (quote):
I didn't find any trace of such digital mic, be it analogue or digital... the in-built mic is of course not stereo, and the mic in the remote isn't also, leave apart being 'digital'
I'd love using my mobile to capture musical ideas on the fly, or outdoor ambiences, but all attempts using the included recorder app are far from acceptable quality, no matter the file resolution or using inbuilt or remote mic...user ' grschinon' states in the thread /t5/Nseries-Devices-and-S60/5800-mic-or-line-level-input-for-recording-audio/m-p/479174 that an external mic can be plugged in it... could anybody please explain how?
Z2, updated to latest F/W (i believe, D6503/5.1.1/23.4.A.0.546) Â Noticed.. when the screen is on, the clock doesnt update? Â For example. Phone is on charge, lock screen clock is shown. Time doesnt move. Â Lock/unlock and time updates.
I use either Sony clock or digital clock on lock screen. Â However, it will get changed to analog clock for no reason. Few times already. Â Changed it back to digital/Sony clock, but it goes back to analog clock after awhile (days). Any way to make the Sony/digital clock to stick?
My clock/weather widget is still showing up on my home screen, but I can no longer click on it to get to the clock app with the world clock and the alarms. I can't find the clock app on the phone at all anymore. How do I get it back? I go get a new clock app from the app store, but I really like the HTC sense clock.
I had installed gmail and other banking applications on my phone E50. Now, I would be selling it. Can I format the phone so that no traces of my user id and pwd remains on the phone memory. No memory card was ever used.
I need to format my phone E55. I've already tried with *37370# but this only reinitialize the settings of my phone. I know about the second options, with 3 keys pressed. Does anyone knows witch keys are required for format on E55?
The C: drive on my N97 contains quite some debris. And I want to clean it up. So I did a hard reset: LeftShift+Space+BkSpace+On . Yet this seems to leave the C drive untouched. For instance, MfE log files are still there and I did not install MfE yet.
