I went out and got a Motorola Brute the other day and was planning to take my Google contacts (which I can export in a CSV file) and simply import them into the phone... Unfortunately, it doesn't seem possible. Here's what I have tried:
* Online services - There don't seem to be any OTA contact management or backup apps for this phone available, even from Sprint.
* Motorola's own iDEN Phonebook Manager - The software is a joke. It formats its contact file in an Access 97 database, too old to edit with newer Access versions and has no facility to import phone numbers from anything else.
* DataPilot - Doesn't work right with Windows 7 - Can't update it and can't get it to import addresses from Outlook. Trying to reinstall XP now for another attempt but don't presently have time.
* SIM card editors - Tried various sim card editors, but they can't edit the NEXTEL phonebook on the SIM card, only the GSM phonebook which isn't recognized by the phone.
So, please everyone let's put our heads together and find a way to do this without using the T9 system!
Is there a way to export or import contacts on a Motorola EX124G? I am trying to transfer contacts from one EX124G to another EX124G but can't find any options on the phone for transferring contacts.
How to export all of the contacts from my phone into a format that I can view and make changes and then import back to the phone. I have had to many issues with my contacts. Some of them have been joined on the phone to better manage them, but I would like to export all the data make changes to it, then keep a master copy off of the phone.
my friend have a HTC P3600 and a new HTC DESIRE, is it possible to export data from the old HTC to import in the new HTC ? I tried with windows 7 (OS) and no possibility to import something.
I got a I680 and using the boost plan. When I try to access the web the phone goes to "security error key exchange disabled" Am I missing something in the owners manual?
It seems to be syncing outlook contacts just fine, but when i try to load "copy from file" (his contact list) and "append" it looks like its pushing, but its not appending the iden studd does not show up.
Is it possible to export the motoactv calendar to another calendar that supports ICS like outlook or Google calendar? This would make it much easier for me to keep an overall schedule.
I tried doing a search on EXPORT. However, I couldn't tell how it brought back results. I bought the MotoActv Golf Edition and am I am web programmer and wanted to see what data I could compile depending on what comes back with the exports. Would be cool to see what is available.
I noticed TCX exports end the points when the start time + workout time has elapsed, regardless of whether it included the full workout. Will this be updated so the exports truly include all points or is the only way to get around this to run the MotoACTV the entire time and bring down your average due to being stopped in traffic etc. as I noticed this in my shorter rides around town, I never seem to actually make it home when importing in to Runkeeper.
Hey everybody. I recently got my photon 4g, and when I went to pair it with my car, I noticed I'm unable to access the phonebook from the car. With my Evo 4g I was able to view call lists and the phone book itself with no problem. When I paired the photon, it successfully paired, then the photon prompted me that the vehicle was requesting access to the phone book access profile. I clicked "always allow" (or always accept, I can't recall at this moment) and let it be.
But anytime I went into the phone via the radio, there are no phone book entries, just the option to enter numbers manually.it's a 2012 chevy with Onstar, so I'm using the bluetooth functions of that radio. Calls still work, but since it isn't reading the phone book, it just gives me a number when someone calls, as opposed to the name. For the time being I'm back to using my evo, since I can't recall everyones phone number off the top of my head. I'd love to figure out whats wrong, since I adore the photon, but need the names (so I don't answer the wrong calls lol)
I tried deleting & re-pairing, I've tried copying my contacts to the SIM in case thats where it was trying to read from, all to no avail, then doing the pair process again, still no luck.
I accidentally deleted a workout from the MOTOACTV site but still have it on my watch, how do I get it off after it no longer has that up/down sync icon?
My CLIQ has died. (radios and wifi) How can I export my Contacts to either the SD card or to my PC?
None of the radios work, so export has to be either to the SD card or via USB to a PC. Installing any apps to do this unfortunately has to be via the same route as well.
I just had installed a new Kenwood car stereo with built in Bluetooth. The BT is paired but the phonebook has not downloaded to the stereo. It has a list of calls in & out. How do I download the phonebook to the stereo or is the Droid 3 even capable of this?
Is it possible to send the phonebook stored in my TracFone w376g phone to another device via bluetooth?
I have been trying to achieve this and have gotten nowhere. The phones have been successfully paired, but within the w376g menus, I can't find an option that lets me send the phonebook (or anything else) via bluetooth.
I went to call my DH today, and his number was deleted. I didn't do that, so now I would like to find a way to export my contacts to a computer file. This phone has a mind of its own. It makes calls and sends texts, and that is after I've locked it!
i cant figure out a way to synchronize to my Motorola Milestone my contacts and Calendar from outlook or PC Suite.I used Sony Ericsson and Nokia in the past and always was so easy to do it.But now, i cant find a good program for the Motorola to do it... This Motorola media link, doesn't seem to do the work as the PC Suite does..Is there any universal program out there that it might help?
I currently use Sports Tracker (www.sports-tracker.com) to monitor my runs. Now that I have purchased the MOTOACTV 8GB I want to export my workout data from Sports Tracker and import it to MOTOACTV.com
Just got my wife a Motorola Gleam and trying to set it up.First thing I need to do is transfer phonebook entries from her old phone or PC to the Gleam and can't see how to do this. I tried Motorola Phone Tools V5 and it didn't recognise the phone.
I am trying to create a route to go for running, there are no streets just small paths in a park, so I need to know how can I create a route without having streets (maybe using the map in terrain mode?) I would like to see how can I use the device for trail running, and how to follow the trace on the Motoacv's screen. I have created a route using the webpage and then created a workout using that route, but I couldn't found a way to follow the route.
I just spent two hours on the phone. First with Verizon, and then Motorola (I was disconnected from the rep at Motorola who did not call me back). This is the issue. When I got the Bionic I used a program called MyBackUpPro to put much of the stuff I had from my Original Droid onto the Bionic. I was up and running and very happy.Since the 8th when I got the phone everything sync's just find EXCEPT contacts. When I try to uncheck and check the box to sync contacts it give the error "Sync is currently experiencing problems, it will be back shortly.". I have tried to sync contacts over 30 times since then and that's the only message I get.My next step was to try to use Backup Assistant, however according to Verizon they are having problems with it.So they transfered me to Motorola, and I spoke to two reps there who took me through the same steps as Verizon... I did them for the second time and of course no go.I suggested to THEM that maybe I can import the contacts from outlook by saving them to a CSV file, putting it on the SD card then using your contacts program to import them. I attempted to do this and it can never find the file.I put the file both in the SD card AND the SD-ext card just in case. When choose import from SIM card it says there are no contacts on my SIM card.
All my contacts with direct connect #'s are converted to phone #'s. I exported my contacts to a vcf file and imported with the Admiral. Some #'s appear as "notes" with the # properly displayed with asterisks as separators. It's about time the people writing the software are forced to use it, not just release it and wait. Manually editing the #'s is not an option, so I'm supposed to go to a Sprint store and wait on line? C'mon. Also EVERY contact with a phone # also has a duplicate entry for a DC #? --Removed-- Now when I'm driving and have to call someone I have to scroll through 6 entries for each name and hope I press the right one?
I have been using the HTC EVO for about a year now...I picked this phone up yesterday and I really enjoy the Photon. I have installed SPB shell for my interface because I just don't like the form and function of the UI that comes with it. Everything seems to be just great with the phone. The battery life is much better than the EVO. I have had moderate to heavy use of it today since 6:00am and after 9 hours of use I'm down to 30% of my battery life. I also have my corporate email set to push, with gtalk usage (without the video, i noticed that that issue was addressed), texting, voice calls and some internet usage.
When connecting a Droid Razr Maxx to our Mercedes via bluetooth, we get a text message import error every time whether or not we have any text messages on the phone. Any ideas? The dealer worked on this today and found that all the other phones which were owned by employees worked without this message.
Motorola Krzr K1m -Where can I find FREE software to import phone numbers in my phone into my computer and vice versa? This site below lists some software, but most of the user reports say it doesn't work.
When I try to unload the photos and videos into iPhoto, my import stops after about a dozen pics and sits there like it is trying but nothing is happening. Then, if I wait it out (about 30 min) it will tell me that several of the files are not a supported format (JPG TAKEN ON THE FREAKING PHONE ITSELF).
