I've had my Xoom for two weeks and have been downloading apps from the market until today. No matter which app I try to install it says, "This item cannot be installed in your country." I click download update and it takes me to the app store, where it lists that there is an update. However when I click install update in the store it throws an error that says update not found.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? View 8 Replies View RelatedI have installed the Blackberry messenger on my Bold 9000. It's fully functional.I have 4 small icons now, indicating that I have new messages, but I can't find any new once.
Looking into this matter I found that in my Application Center, the BB Messenger is listed as "not installed" even though I installed it. Re-install also hasn't helped.i cannot delete it as "delete" is not listed in the menu. I'm also not able to see the application using teh Desktop Manager.
so my question are:
1) How can I find out what are the 4 icons indicating?
2) How can de-install my messenger now to just start from scratch?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had the Droid X since Launch Day and I have loved the phone except for one glaring issue that constantly bugs me: LAG/general stuttering.I just tried it and noticed an immediate increase in snappiness and responsiveness. My problem is that I have many apps installed on my phone. I may not use them all the time but I do like to have them on there. Unfortunately I have noticed that these apps will often run in the background and probably just slow my phone down even though I would not normally use them. Is there any solution to keeping my phone running fast with a lot of apps? Or maybe a selective safe mode where you can choose what is allowed to run?

My "Bookworm" and my "Quick List Free" don't access the information already on the sd card. Astro shows it there but apps say nothing there. I have about 350 books and info on them in the Bookworm. How do I get the app to see the info. I don't want to put them in again individually.

Although Motorola says there's no way to do it, I have read that it is possible to uninstall pre-loaded apps. I would really like to get rid of all the AT&T crapware!
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is shutting itself off or rebooting itself unreasonably often, and the camera/camcorder "fail to initialize" or exit when pressing the record button incredibly frequently. Tried uninstalling random apps with no improvement.I hope that, in the future, that Motorola will stop wasting resources trying to customize the OS and focus only on making sure things work properly.I also hope to see the ICS update as vanilla, untouched as possible.On a side note, is there any way to see debugging/error info or whatnot with these phones? I've saved myself a lot of headaches with such information on the PC - one would think a phone essentially running linux would also have some info like that.
Edit:Uninstalled the bloatware I'll never use when I first got phone - alogcat is showing a lot of warnings relating to the apps which are now "missing" on top of quite a few other errors/warnings etc. Disappointed - why can't US cell have untouched Android OS on its best phone
Checked for software update like 10 times and it finally came up. Downloaded already, rebooted and now installing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a very odd thing happen I had moved 5 or 6 apps to the SD card using the manage apps function on my phone this morning when I turned my phone on the apps that I had moved to the sd card were gone there was a different icon in place of them when i pushed the icon it said that the program was not installed I went back to manage apps function and the app was still listed I tryed to move them back to the phone but it failed so I had to reinstall them from the market now they work just fine again I have alot of PDFs and Docs and Exel files on the SD card none of them were affected I also have links on one of my home pages setup to open up these files and they were not affected so it seems as there is not a problem with the SD card just with the apps that I had moved there.

We've been informed by email that our Xoom 4G upgrade will be available in September (2011), early Sept or late Sept who knows. We'll also have to send the Xoom back for the upgrade so the inconvenience factor to get our 4g is high.
Well for those of us [i.e. myself] who bought early in the hopes that Motorola would exceed our personal expectations and put the upgrade in our Xooms quickly after the initial Xoom release on Feb 24, 2011, we've been disappointed with this unreasonably long delay.
The bar of what we expect from Motorola is now set by the Galaxy tab 4G and the tab speeds are, well, phenomenal.[URL].. So, a personal observation, the upgrade had better be stellar and fast now that the Xoom will [maybe?] be the No. 2 4g tablet on the Verizon network. You can't win the first to 4g tablet market race but you sure better not blow the performance side of 4g.
There is a lot to like about the tablet, but some features I'm disappointed in. I was looking at the "supported devices" page for the Motocast USB software and it does not include this tablet. At the bottom of the page, it also says "MotoCast USB software works with most but not all of Motorola's Android devices." Is it possible to use it on the FE?
