I'm having a great deal of difficulty downloading word docs on to my xoom and having the pages flip like a book. I installed kindle but can't get the applications to merge.

Word documents are only partly opening on my SII. eg only the first two pages of an 8-page doc, or six pages of a 20-pager.he problem doesn't seem to be application-specific because it's the same in Polaris Office or OI File Manager. The files themselves are complete - if I connect the phone to a PC using usb and open the files on the PC, the documents open with all pages, but on the phone only the first few pages are shown.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSwype used to work fine for me, but for the last month or so it does not work at all.I repeatedly get a pop up saying I have to upgrade (at beta.swype), or that the screen size is not right.I install again and again but still it does not work.The trace line appears on the keyboard ok, but the finished word does not appear in the text box. After finishing the word, both shift keys light up.All input modes are set to Swype, but it makes no difference.I should add that "normal" text input works ok on the Swype keyboard.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI received my Flip 8230 today and have not yet had the chance to activate it and probably won't until tomorrow or Friday. I've been playing with it though to get a good feel for it, and I've noticed that there's no browser installed nor is there any MMS folder or option when sending a picture. I did a search on both issues and found one thread in which it was suggested to resend the service books to remedy the browser problem, so I'll do that as soon as it's hooked up.
What worries me more though is the lack of an MMS folder or MMS option when trying to send a picture. (I can't actually send one of course since my phone isn't activated yet, but the option should still be there.) I did a search on that as well and did find a couple threads about it, but neither really contain an answer to the problem. How do I fix it? I'll be pretty sad if I can't do MMS with this phone.
I'm still new at this Android stuff.... I've used an iPhone for a few years now. I must say that I was a little concerned about the switch, but am VERY happy so far!ith that being said, I'm pretty sure I'm being stupid and just missing something, but I can't get my homescreen(s) to flip even though the auto-rotate setting is checked. If it helps, I do have widgets on my homescreens, and perhaps this is the reason?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using various Android phones now for quite a while (including some Motorola ones) and I've never had this happen before..I have multiple email accounts setup on my phone (both Exhange and POP). In the past, I could use the "Email" icon and tap on the name of the email account at the top and it would drop down a list of email accounts on the phone and then I could choose the one that I wanted. Now, when I click on the name of the email account, I get a list of folders on the default account. I cannot find a way to switch accounts other than going to the Messaging icon and picking it there. I do not like the universal inbox. I would love to know a shortcut if anyone has figured this out other than having to go to the messaging section.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust got the Atrix (ME860, Android 2.2.2) and I really liked the main screen's 3D style display of the 5 different sections (Weather, Tools, Messages, Main screen, etc.) where I could just swipe my finger and switch between them. But for some reason this option dissapeared (maybe when I installed the gmail app?). I can't see that little middle button on the bottom of the main page where I use to press and be able to flip between those 5 screens. Is there any way to get that back? (of course without resetting the phone back to factory settings).

If not used for a while, the phone will 'time out' and turn itself off.When this happens, I can't figure out how to get the headset to turn it back on, or unlock it, in order to make a call.One press of the 'call' button just brings up the phone's screen where you 'press & hold to unlock. A second press of the call button doesn't do anything.A press and hold of the call button redials the last number.

I noticed that every time I used the EF for a telephone call, once the call was disconnected, usually but not exclusively by the other party hanging up, the Elite Flip would disconnect from the phone and then reconnect. Is this normal? Is there a way to keep the Elite Flip from doing this?

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIve been having an issue with the keyboard, where sometimes if i press the space bar, it seems to think i'm holding it, and will first put a period at the end of whatever word i added, then continue spacing untill the next line. It either does this, or will not space at all. Both seem to be sparatic, and i dont notice anything in connection with when it happens yet, but its happened quite alot, and seems to have been happening more the past two days.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....
