an update thats 31.7 MB from moto inc has failed to download 3 times now it downloads just fine, but fails to install every single time.anyone know what it is, or how i can get it installed? i did this using the system update to do OTA, and it doesnt say what the update is.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem in my milestone. Im trying to update my milestone to froyo from eclair 2.1 update 1 via MSU (Motorola Software Update). But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter spending 2 hours on the forums and 2 hrs on motorola website, downloading the motorola software update and finding that the updater says that your phone is up to date with 2.1 (where as the motorola site says 2.2 is now available) and browsing thru unending discussions, I was unable to update my Motorola milestone to Android 2.2. I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. If the official version is not available in Dubai can someone tell me of a shop where I can get it updated, as I dont really understand the concept of rooting and stuff like that.
Do you have the unlock Milestone? did you run the update? Still working for you on Rogers or Fido? 3G connection?

As per the original official update schedule of Motorola the update was due for this model(EUROPEAN EDITION) on Q4,2010.But this was not by Motorola.Hence on my enquiry Mark informed me that Motorola has revised the schedule and advised me to look for it.Hence I found out the the revised schedule of Q1,2011 and notice that the update has already started to roll out.But even after the end of one month after Q1,2011 I didn't receive the update.I use to check the update information in the phone everyday.It always says your systemis currently update.Whether Motorola will give me the 2.2 update ever?Will anyone of the Motorola officials or Mark himself will please clear my anxiety and advise me the steps to be taken further to get the update without anymore further delay.Further there is one more thing.Recently whenever I try for system updates in the phone by going to Settings>About Phone>System Updates a message appears "The device is unable to connect to server.Try again later.".But whenever I try again and again later the same message appears.Hence what I have to do to get the update if it has been aired?Is there any other way to find the update and download and install in the phone?the phone is connected to 2G and i can browse internet successfully.
I've been trying to update it through guides on the internet and I keep getting the same error which is:
"failed to verify whole-file signature"..The file is named update.zip (yes, i'm 100% sure it's not update. zip. zip).The file is in the root of the sd card. I can't figure out what's going wrong here.
is there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know there is another thread about the Telus update that came out a few days ago, but that thread is more about issues installing the update.Like most of you, i looked for new features and have not really found any, but figure there must be some improvements in 32MB of fixes.One thing I have noticed is much better battery life. After 3 days, I have noticed that I have significantly more battery when I get home at night with my normal usage.I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. Normally by the time I would get home, my phone would report under 15% or less. However I do have a Seidio extended battery (yeah the big honking one). The last few days I have had 40-50% battery left.
Since the milestone/droid has never recognized the extended battery's extra capacity, it reports battery % based on the standard battery size. So even though my battery would report 5%, I could run for 10-15 hours at 5%.So, is the battery life better with the update, or is the milestone now recognizing the extra capacity of the battery and just reporting it correctly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.

I always get this error whenever I try to flash the Nexus 5 with using the flash-all file, I installed Android Studio, restarted my PC, even got the 6.0 factory image. None work and I always get that error? I'm trying to restart this Nexus 5 for my dad. The Nexus 5 is rooted with franco kernel and TWRP but on stock ROM.

Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.

Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.
