Jan 7, 2015I have a new Turbo. I participate in a lot of conference calls using the same conference room code. To make it easier to dial in, I had it setup on my old phone (Razr Maxx HD) to send the room code after I connected the call. Worked great and I didn't have to memorize a long string and input it (while driving usually). Now, when I click ok to send the tones, they're sent so fast that it comes across as one tone and isn't recognized. Setting the tone length in the settings does no good - normal is still too short. I've tried putting commas (,) in between each number, but that takes sooooo long it defeats the purpose. What's going on or other way to send the tones? I've tried other dialers, but they all use the OS settings and don't do any better.

Aug 15, 2012The issue I have is that that stock Motorola messaging app does not allow you to send a text to a vanity shortcode with letters as opposed to all numbers. Spent over an hour on hold to talk to a Motorola rep who then told me that they can only make a change to the messaging app if the carrier (Verizon Wireless) approves it. Just to clarify, it works on iphone and other and other Android phones were it will convert any alpha characters for numbers for you while entering them into the recipient field.

May 22, 2010I have an SCH-U440, also known as Gloss, from US Cellular. I have done some digging online, but CDMA codes seem hard to come by. Ideally, I would like to know how to edit the "sms mo so" setting so I could change it to 13k instead of 8k, as has been mentioned in various material I have found. Of course, I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is not, is there some alternative?
Secondly, tonight, I managed to breach this phone's 70 or 72ish inbox limit by having lots and lots of picture messages. I got it up to 117 when I decided to delete all the messages and see if the new limit had been set, as was suggested to work for certain Samsung models on another site. This does not seem to be the case, as I am back at 72.

Dec 11, 2012This might not be a Blackberry-specific issue, but I am posting here because I am using a Bold 9900 and it is happening to me. It actually happened on my Storm as well. My phone is unlocked and I am currently outside my home country. Whenever I call out, I can simply call with the number without adding the calling code, but when I am texting, I have to add the calling code as if I were in my home country before the text gets sent. Also, when I choose a contact in my phonebook, I do not have the calling code saved in the numbers, but for some weird reason, it adds it. Is this normal? Is there a way for me to turn it off?
[edit] A side note. I add the calling code as another field in the phone book. I add it as a home number so I can just text with that field instead of typing the entire number with the calling code. For some weird reason when I am getting an incoming call, the name is shown along with the number with the calling code.
