Motorola Flipout :: Can`t Calibrate Touchscreen And Error
Sep 10, 2011
i can`t calibrate my screen and most of the time a part of my screen does not work.sometime`s the phone starts opening randon stuff and starts tripping.i searched my whole phone and on google but still can`t calibrate my screen.sometime`s my phone is super slow. ev en in performance mode.
I bought a Motorola Flipout from Amazon and have an AT&T sim in it. I can connect to wifi and receive data but get no data connection away from home. The AT&T rep wasn't much help since I have prepaid plan. I can talk and text just fine but get no data connection away from wifi, I do have a data plan.
I tried add a hotmail account , i choosed automatic configuration, accept ,aplication closed and go to home.i searched for this on "Accounts" and it isn't but when i try to add it appears like predictive text "xxxxxxx@hotmail.com"and it says "this account already added"
I've seen questions about this with other phones, but haven't found an answer. I've been unable to calibrate the compass (it never turns green, sometimes turns red). I have removed a compass app.
My daughter (an iPhone 4 user) glanced at my Atrix while i was playing Angry Birds and asked why everything was so brown. She then compared her screen to mine and I was astounded at how poorly yellows are rendered on my phone! I then comparedit to my son's Samsung Captivate, with similar results. Color rendition on the Atrix is really off.Is there a way to make the color temperature cooler on the Atrix, or to completely recallibrate the display? Now that I've seen the difference, it's hard not to see problems in the display all the time. Any chance that a future update will fix the display driver to be more balanced?
I want to unlocked my motorola flipout but when I put a non-alowed sim card it ask me for my motoblur account. Should I put it? Why it doesn't ask me for the unlocked code first
I have a issue with my Motorola Fliprout. i bought is just today. and when i turn it on. it keep turning on and off. After 5 seconds off screens comes on it goes back off and on again.
I've been having issues with the apps from Andoid Market not downloading. It just keeps saying 'Downloading' and nothing happens. Do I need to set up a new VPN everytime I change provider? As I remember I had to do this when I first got the phone.
I recently did a factory re-set and it deleted the VPN. I don't have issues with connectivity, browser works fine.
i seem to have so much trouble getting music onto the flipout. I have had more success by taking the media card out and using a reader. Then i just drag and drop. Trouble is the player doesn't play every file. Some it doesn't like saying it is not the correct file type. I think i ripped everything via windows media player. Also windows media player does not sync with the card sometimes or the device itself. I am lost in the problems so can't remember when i did what. So my question is is there an ideal way to do this that i am missing. I think i did use some motorola software as well but didn't get very far with that either. Sorry i am vague but i am on my Linux machine and not the windows one.
I have recently had to replace my flipout for a new one and went to transfer my contacts from my old sim card but it told me the sim was empty. It appears all my contacts are on the phones memory, so the question is, how do I get the contacts onto the sim?
Used to plug in my phone to the computer to charge but now it no longer charges via the computer.USB notification doesn't appear.Computer doesn't recognise that a device is attached either.I have checked the leads and have tried alternative computers.Still no change. If I use the lead attached to the plug in charger then it charges fine without problem. But as of now I can't use PC charging (which seems to increase battery life between charges) nor can I transfer anything to/from my PC.
I was given a Motoblur as a gift I loved using it It was fine for 4 weeks Then, it just developed a weird problem - it keeps turning off and rebooting every 45 seconds It does this consistently
I've used different sim cards - I know this isn't the problem They said without a receipt I was stuffed - didn't matter that the phone was completely new (Sony Ericsson: if you have a new phone - they'll take the IMEI and will honour the warranty if a new phone)
I got a call back 5 min after the phone call They told me to update the software - the phone was due an update
I updated Yeeee ha! The phone lasted 1.5 minutes - and then started rebooting
My phone states "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later." I tried a factory reset, but to no avail... Same message still shows. Is there a manual update check?
I got 2 messages today from the same person on my newer unlocked MB511 that were both "rejected". One message was about 1kb in size and the other was about 32kb. I assume the first was just a text message and the second one might of had a picture attachment. Eventually I lost the messages trying to find a setting that might of been turned off. I am using AT&T's Go Phone serivice and had no problems with my old phone. I have received other text messages on this phone with no problems but none with attachments. With this new phone I have apps running so the phone does not use data services. I also have that free "Lookout" app running. I tried to shut that off and tried getting the messages again and nothing changed. Do I have to have data services turned on in order to receive text messages with attachment's?
I have recently bought a Motorola Flipout unlocked. I am with a UK network on Pay As You Go. The proble I have is I'm a complete rookie when it comes to technology. Basically I have a wifi network at home, but when out and about my phone has been automatically connecting to 'the internet' when I'm surfing the web etc, looking at the news and social networks. This has meant that I'm using a lot of money in topping up my credit. I have been reading the forum and I've now changed my Wifi sleep policy to never, enabled a data saver, disabled background data, and ensured data roaming was off, and 'synced over wifi only'. I just would like some advice really as all I want is to keep up to date with emails etc when I actively want to see if I have any rather than the phone constantly updating and charging me.
i have recently bought a motorola flipout about a week ago. it spent about 5 full days going round motorola forums, Internet reviews, internet reviews, and anything else i could get my hands on about the flipout. some reviews says that the flipout is compatible with wireless n routers (i think that's 802.11n?) and some say it doesn't! i want to know this because i want to change my router from a g router to a n router. my motrola flipout runs android 2.1(eclair) and the model of the wireless router is belkin play n600 db. any clarification if the phone is compatible. if it isn't compatible, is there any sort of widget/app/3rd party software i can download to change this?
My flipout screen is starting to separate from the keypad. Everyone can admit to dropping their phones once or twice, but I don't think it's normal for the screen to come apart!
1. I can't do a system update on the phone, I choose it and it says "Checking for available updates. Please wait..." for up to an hour.
2. Often when I try and dial people it doesnt activate a call and will just stay on the same screen. Following this it will either then dial about 10 seconds later after I've given up, or just crash.
3. It now has a tendency of just turning itself off during calls.
4. It often is unresponsive when I reply to texts. I'll use the keypad to text words, and it will be registering the keystrokes as it will be giving me predictive text suggestions, but not actually recording the words.
I have the Motorola FlipOut - it was a replacement phone from AT&T because my BackFlip bit the dust after a year. Can't say I'm particularly impressed with the FlipOut either...But onto the main issue (I have many with this phone!) -- as of yesterday, my Gmail account is no longer on my phone. My Yahoo, Facebook and Twitter profiles are fine. When I try to add my Gmail account, it says that there are issues adding it. I don't understand! And it also keeps unlinking contacts - so people I connected in my address book to their Facebook keep unlinking.
I have had my flipout phone for about 4 months and haven't had any problems with it until recently it simply will not receive any text messages from any phone. It will however receive phone calls and I am able to send texts. I have not changed any message settings on the phone and it was working fine until it suddenly stopped receiving them. My service provider is orange (uk).
By accident I sent my 'messaging widget' to the trash.... I mean the widget that picks up emails and text messages (a pinky colour) and comes pre-installed. It's part of the Motoblur set up.
My phone came up with a weird message yesterday saying that there had been too many calendar deletions. I ignored it, but now I have a constant refresh symbol showing next to signal strength and my battery is draining out within hours. I have used 100mg in one day and I've had to switch my phone off to stop it. I checked battery use and it is the calendar using the battery. I have trying resyncing the calendar through Gmail, but it hasn't worked.
I just got the motoblur yesterday and have been trying to download apps from the market ever since. they say "starting download" and then take ages. When i click on it it says it is queued. how do i stop it queueing?
I purchased a Flipout around 3 weeks ago and at the weekend it went mental and started rebooting, luckily Orange replaced the handset for me which came today. The thing is that on this handset the three buttons on the front of the phone (the menu home and back buttons) are not back lit at all and do not flash when i receive a text or email.Have Orange basically given me another dodgy phone or is it something that I can remedy?
Does anyone know how to replace the touch screen glass? I bout a replacement, but am not getting any support from the company I bought it from. Most of the phone is apart. I just can't get the phone itself and screen seperated at the rotary hinge.
The descriptions state that the Flipout has Flash Lite 3, while I cannot get anything that uses flash to work. And, Adobe says my device is not flash capable, but motorola says otherwise. Why???
Any way to fix the root glitch for the lack of sound on skype calls? Have been looking found a solution for a atrix and wondering if this would work on a flipout. I got the darn phone so that I could call home to the states cheaply.
I recently changed my passcode lock on my phone. when i re-entered the passcode, it wasnt correct. so i went and reset my motoblur password and when i typed that in on my phone to unlock it, it says error so i powered my phone off and turned it back on took the SIM out etc, nothing is working
