While in the Us Cellular store today the tech asked if my apps were moved to my SD card. I told her no. She said they should be. So when I for home I tried moving them and there is no move to card option.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't care if its not an HD resolution display, or if some apps are not compatible because of the Intel Chip.But I can't really buy a Razr I if I will not be able to install/move apps to the SD card, I can't have only 5Gb for Apps! Specially now that some apps/games can take around 600mb-1gb of space. I know some apps need to be on the internal memory, but most not.
So my question is, will this be addressed with the Jelly Bean update? If so, I think this is the phone for me, if not I guess I'll have to keep looking for another one.
On my previous phone I could use the app "Super Tool Box 10+" to move applications to the SD card; however, when I select that option on this phone, the button "move to SD" is not present...

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have been trying for a while now to free up storage on my phone in order to solve the problem and have even inserted a new 4gb memory card into the phone, and have been unable to store apps to the sd card, to free up space on the internal memory of the phone. also i have been unable to direct downloading apps to be saved in the sd card instead of the phones memory.i have a funny feeling though that there is a fault within the phone itself.

In particular, I use 'Ultimate Password Manager'.It's passworded to get into it, but after using it and leaving, if I go back to it again, it's already open, no password needed.What if I had lost the phone in the meanwhile? This particular app doesn't have a "quit" function to it. Makes me wonder about other programs as well.Do they "automatically" close when you leave them?

I can move the factory installed icons like the BBapp world icon, but icons for apps I have downloaded cannot be moved. View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone is shutting itself off or rebooting itself unreasonably often, and the camera/camcorder "fail to initialize" or exit when pressing the record button incredibly frequently. Tried uninstalling random apps with no improvement.I hope that, in the future, that Motorola will stop wasting resources trying to customize the OS and focus only on making sure things work properly.I also hope to see the ICS update as vanilla, untouched as possible.On a side note, is there any way to see debugging/error info or whatnot with these phones? I've saved myself a lot of headaches with such information on the PC - one would think a phone essentially running linux would also have some info like that.
Edit:Uninstalled the bloatware I'll never use when I first got phone - alogcat is showing a lot of warnings relating to the apps which are now "missing" on top of quite a few other errors/warnings etc. Disappointed - why can't US cell have untouched Android OS on its best phone
I have 2 questions:
1) How do I find the folder where apps are stored? I have an external SD card and when I view it with file manager or via USB on PC I can see the folders but I can't see most of the folders that are on internal storage.
2) How do I get album art to show across multiple media players? I have Cover Art Downloader installed and it found nearly all of album artwork but unfortunately it doesn't show up on stock media player, MixZing, etc.
Everytime I connect my phone to a PC to import pictures, etc.. after it is properly ejected, the phone will reboot continuously. It gets to the home screen and then will shut off and turn on again. It does this at least 15-20 times before it will stay stable. Once it stays on, I then have to reset my ringtones and wallpapers. Is there a way to keep it from doing this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid 4 through Verizon running Graham Cracker. I recently had a 4g Sandisk Nicro SD card installed and it worked fine. I turned off my phone, removed the 4gb card and installed a 32gb Sandisk Micro SD card. The installation seemed to have gone successfully. When I turned on my phone it asked me if I wanted to move my media to the SDcard and it moved all those files. When I went to move my apps and I select a movable app, the only choice I have is "move to media area" I do not have a chice to move to SD card. I have restarted the phone looked at and moved data around on teh SD card from the phone and when connected to a pc and that all works fine.

If I click and hold on an existing app icon, or an app in the drawer, then I get the vibration as normal and I can drag the app around the screen but:I never get the green highlight showing new places where I can put the icon, andI can't drag to another page of the home screen: the side bars never turn green to let me flip to the next page.I also can't resize widgets like the clock or weather when it gets in this state.The only way I've found to clear this fault is to reboot the phone, which is a bit of a pain.
