I usually keep my phone on Widescreen pictures, but even on 8MP pictures the quality is HORRIBLE. Way worse than the DX. I can't understand why the quality would make all my pictures look digitized and crappy. Is there a 3rd party app that fixes this? CAN it be fixed? or is it a hardware issue?
View 15 RepliesDoes Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera.The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control.
-The user can no longer set ISO
-The user can no longer set EV
-Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions
-Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
poor quality of the pictures and video that come off the Bionic? This came up in a review at PhoneScoop.com as well. I have comparred the photos and videos taken off of the Bionic to my wife's HTC Rezound and the Rezound pictures are far superior? The Bionic produces pictures with very little contrast and performs badly in low light conditions. The Bionic also produces a white haze around the borders of pictures in some photos. See photo below. I am wondering if this is a defective camera or a problem on all bionics?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been having real problems with the picture quality when you take pictures of documents. As I am a student, this is quite a big deal for me. Whenever I take pictures of like notes and stuff (in the document mode), the quality is great, but when it comes to zooming in, the pixels don't clear up at all, they remain blurry, so in the end the document mode is a complete useless tool! I have seen other phones like the Iphone 4 or the blackberry torch have great quality even when zoomed in, the pixels clear up. I thought sony was known for its camera!

I tried downloading some different camera apps from the market and they all seemed to have the same issues. I cleared camera app data, safe mode test, battery pull, factory reset). The only thing I haven't tried yet is unmouting and reformatting the SD Card which seems to have an integral role in the camera's function.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently got a brand new phone after my screen broke and I filed a warranty claim through Asurion. With my new phone when i take pictures, sometimes they show up upside down. Not always but more often than not. My original phone never did this. Its pretty annoying to have to go back to the photo afterwards almost every time and edit and rotate it. I know the RAZR has the feature to show pics right side up no matter how you take the pic holding the phone but I guess somewhere in mine the calibration for this feature is off. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea how to re-calibrate it? Note: It doesn't matter how I hold the phone when it happens. No matter which way it is on the screen at the time, it flips it upside down after the pic shows up.

The camera is not writing all the EFIX data to the pictures. Most importantly Date Taken. The stock google app did this!!! Everyday I find something that annoys me more and more about this phone.
Its seems like a lot of pictures that I take with my Razor seem to be blurry? On my other phones there were resolution settings, but I have not found any.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am now on my 3rd droid 4, all have had issues with the ear speaker (speaker used when making calls and holding handset to ear) The 1st phone was the worst but I also had it for the longest. All phones started out perfectly clear but progressed into poor speaker sound. If you switch it to the hands free speaker during a call the persons voice sounds perfect but the ear speaker produces a static scratchy noise whenever someone is talking to you.I absolutely love the phone except for these speaker issues, I just want the thing to work correctly. Again, it is the speaker, not a connection issue seeing as the hands free works fine, I have also tried changing the bands in the program menu (##program)Im to the point where I am about ready to jump ship and give the razor maxx a try but I would really rather keep the 4 as I WANT a physical qwerty.Looking for answers, others that are experiencing the same problems, and possibly hearing that motorola is aware of the issue and has corrected it hopefully stating which serial #'s may have new better equiptment (speakers)

Since our IT department doesn't want to combine applications for the ability to have one password to open everything, it is not really their fault, laws prohibit this. So to keep track of the four dozen passwords I habe at work, and two or three dozen personal ones, the spreadshhet has been made. It works OK at work, but when I'm home, it becomes a bit of a pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good quality password managing application. The only two criteria that I have is, it has to be encrypted, and I need to be able to pair it to my DX2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and have the ability to access it on a computer. My initial thought is a good Excel file, that I can jot a couple lines of code to lock it down

I used my Droid Turbo a month ago to shoot some outdoor pictures and the camera worked great. Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.

Congrats K850i, you finally made your name proud. That K850i had potential when it came was no doubt about it. Most people who had K850i understood that it weakness probably was software related (weak color, weak quality, etc.) and look at K850i now.
K850i pictures, they have higher quality (clearer/sharper/deeper) then most new phones such; Elm, Hazel, Yari, c901, X10, you name it. K850i is back from the Dead and here for stay.

1. I set my camera for making picture with sizes 6M (16:9)
2. I took a photo and then I checked the file - it has resolution 3264x1832 but only 823k
It is too small for this resolution!!! If I will print it by 10x15, 20x30 or large it will be horrible picture.What should I check or set in my phone for taking nice photo for the big resolution?
Just got my 9700 a few weeks ago. The screen is fantastic, the pictures & photos that I transferred to my SD card are shown on the screen with razor sharpness. At least for a while. Then I noticed that when I viewed the photos again from Media -> Pictures, the photos becomes less sharp and appear heavily compressed. This is for both the thumbnail view and the fullscreen sroll view. Does anyone noticed this?
But when I click on Fit to Screen or View Actual Size, the photos become razor sharp again. How do I get the photos to appear razor sharp in the fullscreen scroll view (where I can scroll left and right for next/previous photo)?
If there are no solution to the above, is there any 3rd party app that will allow us to view the photos in fullscreen (and can be scrolled left or right) in full razor sharpness?
I just installed iOS4 on both our 3Gs and 3G on both phones there are approx 500 high quality pic's at approx 1000 x 750 pixels size all pictures seem to have lost quality completely (on both phones) to the point that they're now useless for viewing on screen. Previously, clarity was crystal, now they're grainy and almost indistinguishable.

My iPhone takes quite blurry pictures. I was just wondering if there were any ways of cleaning it or anything that i could do to get the picture quality back to what it used to be.. I reckon it would be a hardware related issue, seeing as i have just updated to the latest software and i have tried resetting the phone but i am still having these issues.

I compared it with my other phone with 1 mp camera and its worst. I sent the phone to repairs to nokia but they updated the software without checking it.
Having a bit of trouble with the quality of pictures taken from the main camera on my N97.Although, I have the resolution set to max (5mp), the pictures that come out dont look anything like 5mp resolution.I say this because I had a N82 before this which had a 5mp camera, which I guess was pretty much same as N97. I still have my old phone so I compared pictures from both (same object, same conditions) and pictures from N82 were still a lot better than N97.
I have the latest firmware on N97 and have tried all different setting and even tried a hard reset, but cant have it to take good pictures. Although the size once I copy them to my computer says 2592x1944, the details are no where there what they should be.
I have HTC One M8 but when I take photo, the quality is like from 2 megapixel camera. I don't know where is the problem, is it software or hardware. I was looking in the camera settings to improve the quality but have not found anything similar. I've attached a picture taken with the phone to see the result.

Also the glare is like some kinda rainbow effect. Any solutions? Or is it time to trash the z3? Just 6 months old it is and my second z3 perhaps
