Maybe this is a server issue but first the "real time updating" option disappeared off the Latittude options on am individual in my list so troubleshooting, I uninstalled the maps update from a few days ago and got the option back but when I select Real Time Updating or tracking, I get a server error.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the last 2 weeks I have been having some really crazy issues with my phone, things like: weather not updating (preinstalled weather widget) facebook widget just going blank not showing updates, not updating and won't let me on, display just randomly turning off the auto feature and going all the way to dim, gmail not synching for days at a time, motocast not uploading pics some time or just certain pics, phone just reboots at random, phone freezes for 10-30 secs. I have done 2 factory resets, and even tried the second time not reinstalling my apps, still the same random problems. Anyone else seen or heard of this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently traveled overseas and had the weather widget on my homescreen. It updated sucessfully via wifi while I was there. When I've returned to the states, however, my widget still says the foreign city, the dates for the weather are the dates of my travel and it won't update.
In addition, if I try to add any city, it says "Can't add new city now. Try again later." This happens over both the data connection and wifi. I've done everything but a factory reset, including rebooting and removing & re-adding the widget.
The stock Motorola Widgets/Weather widget has taken a nosedive since the OTA Gingerbread update hit my Droid X. The stock widget uses Accuweather.com data and it always previously behaved correctly with Froyo.
The problem I'm facing is that even though the Current Location/Show current location on widget green box is checked, the "current location" doesn't automatically update as I travel from town to town, as it used to do with Froyo.
I have the Settings/Location & security/Google location services green box checked. I have the Settings/Location & security/Standalone GPS services and VZW location services grey boxes unchecked.
I tried various clock widgets and since upgrade to GB, the time does not update, the clock on the top status bar will have the correct time and the widget will show like 2 hours ago. If I tap the widget, it refreshes and shows the correct time, otherwise it's stuck. Anyone have a flip clock widget (ala HTC Sense clock), preferably with weather that will work with the DroidX and GB? Will the new mr6 update in mid-august fix this? Analog clocks seem to work, so my guess it's some sort of update/refresh service in GB is not working correctly.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone experienced this problem? I have five email accounts on my phone, four regular and one corporate. I have them all setup to check for mail every hour. Before the ICS update, they all worked fine on that schedule. After the ICS update, the corporate account still updates fine, but the other four do not. I changed them to update every half hour, but no change. They still do not update. If I go to the account and manually refresh it, it will download my emails.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Droid Turbo to Android 5.1. I did a factory reset immediately after the install and set up as a new device. I went to settings to change the launcher from Launcher3 (Turbo's default launcher) to Google. When I went in to the settings screen, the "Home" option was no longer available.
I tried force stopping and clearing memory on Launcher3 as well as Google App, but the Home option still isn't showing up.
Does the Turbo not have the ability to change the Launcher to the standard Google launcher? I miss swiping right to get to my Google Now cards .
I cannot stand Lollipop, so I returned my phone to Motorola and received one that has KitKat on it. If I can turn off auto-updating of the OS, I will be good to go. I do not want to root the phone as that will mess up my warranty and insurance. If I cannot avoid Lollipop, I will get an Iphone or go back to a flip phone. Lollipop is the worst user interface ever. It is like the "New Coke". You cannot turn the phone to silent with the VOLUME button, how counterintuitive is that!? Also I don't want to see every update on the locked screen, the little pictures are fine. However with Lollipop, it is all the alerts or none at all.

Anything I create a tasks, it doesn't show up in the widget unless I go to the widget settings and change which tasks are viewed (I normally leave it on all tasks). If I complete a tasks and it was in the widget, it's not removed from the widget unless I manually refresh it. If I try to delete the widget, the tasks process force closes.I can create tasks and get reminders and everything just fine, but they just don't show up in the widget properly.

For the time being I am using Openstreetmap images for the custom map app.Now what I want is to convert the pixel point to Latitude and Longitude value at a particular zoom level. I installed the GO Keyboard app because the Samsung KB did not play nicely with my BT Keyboard. But one of the first downfalls of this app I noticed in Google Latitude. If I choose to send my location via gmail, with the Samsung KB when I start to type an email address into the 'To:' window it retrieves a number of predictive email address matches. THe GO Keyboard does not do this.Could I ask someone who uses Swiftkey to try this and see if it works? BTW, the GO KB does predict email addresses when you go straight to the GMAIL app, it is only when you go into Latitude, and then pick 'share your location with others', and then choose GMAIL as the method to share, that it does not work (instead it just makes you manually enter the whole email address even if it is a common one t

View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera.The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control.
-The user can no longer set ISO
-The user can no longer set EV
-Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions
-Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
I updated my milestone to 2.2 But it has got very slow, Moreover it hangs itself. Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.

I disconnected usb cable and tried to turn on the set but it wont turn on. I tried to recharge it and restart it but it also didnt work. Now its still off and I don`t know what to do anymore.

I have tried numerous ways to update via MSU with different PC's. The Atrix phone gets detected but cant find an update.
I have tried a couple of different digital clock widgets and some (but not all and not always!) do not update the time unless you put the phone to sleep and then wake it again. I am running no task killers and do not have an excessive number of programs running at any one time.
