Jun 18, 2012When I want to copy a text message as an exampl I have to Long press the text. It then asks me "select word or select all". for argument sake let's say I say "select all" If I want to copy this I now have to long press the area agtain.My proposed solution is once you make the first selection, the phone needs to auto-populate the box asking you if you want to COPY, or CUT etc.I mena why wouldn't it? There is NO reason you would ever just want to highlight a section without the next step. I know this may seem silly, but little functions like this add up, and these type of things is what sets the ease of use of a phone to the next level.

Jan 28, 2013I have Jelly Bean on my Maxx HD. I am trying to copy and paste, or even move files from one location to another. It makes no difference if it's from internal to external SD card or vice-versa. Or even from internal to internal storage but the copy paste does NOT work.
What am I doing wrong? When I choose the files to copy or move, then I choose the new location, the process appears to start but the counter stays on 0% and never moves. All I can do is cancel the operation and try again only to do the same thing. What is going on here?
I have tried the same thing using OI FIle Manager and I get the same results.

Ever since the Gingerbread update, the highlighting and copy & paste function is totally broken and unreliable. I can hardly able to select the text I want to highlight or able to move the cursor around. I am very dissapointed in this Gingerbread upgrade.

May 25, 2010I added a contact to my phone book from a text message i received from someone. it put their phone number under work instead of mobile. so i copied it and pasted it. Then it turns dark gray and 2 blackie tabs appers on both side of the text. That´s all I could do. If I hit the highlighted text once again in order to get copy option on it disappears! If I hit those blackie tabs nothing happens.... If I pressed check sign (in Upper Left corner) then highlight would be gone. I don´t get this - iPhone was so easy to use compared to this one..

So for instance, if someone texts me "Hey call bill at 555-8999, he is a great mechanic!" it's impossible to just select the phone number. I have to copy the entire message, paste it and delete what I dont want. (yes, I know the phone number usually creates a link to call from, just using this as an example)
