I just tried to record audio by PCM Recorder Lite at 44100Hz and it does not work at all (it just record pereodic noise). 44100 it is native clock rate and I really need it to work.

I've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.

View 1 Replies View Related1. My phone is lagging. I notice that that this starts occuring when my internal ram gets to about 100MB or less. I never had this issue with gingerbread because I used the auto kill feature in the phones preloaded task manager. Now, ICS does not have a auto task killer and my ram is running extremely low and causeing the phone to lag, especially when going from app to app and returning to the home screen.
2. My audio has been spotty. It works one second then when you load a app that has audio it won't work. If you close the app and load it again then the audio works fine. I have gone into the system recovery and wiped the cache partion on the phone. I also use Cache Cleaner + and have reset the phone and still get the same issues as above. If the suggestions don't work then I call verizon and tell them thank you for screwing up my phone. Worked perfectly fine before with GB.
Are there any changes to or improvements in the hardware to avoid the high-pitched whine that plagued the Bionic?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter purchasing the HD dock, a set of external speakers, and setting the "Alarm & timer" app to play music I was disapopointed to find that the music only plays over the phone's speaker, and not through the external dock audio.I downloaded and installed both "Alarm clock plus" and "Alarm Clock Xtreme Free".Only "Alarm Clock Xtreme Free" has a setting that allows the alarm music to play over the external dock audio.I really would like to use the stock app, if for no other reason that it will auto run when placed into the HD dock.
Is there anyway to get the "Alarm & timer" app to send alarm music out over the ext audio?This seems like a bug that it doesn't.is there a way to "auto run" a different clock app when the phone is placed in the HD Dock?
I frequenly charge my phone in my car while listing to music, through the car's AUX port. It worked flawlessly with my Droid2, but with the Razr M, there is noise when music is not playing. When music is playing, even with a very quiet passage, there is no noise. It is only when the music app is not sourcing music (I can't remember if there is noise if the music is just paused). When sitting at the home screen with no music app running, there is definitely noise. The noise I'm hearing sounds like CPU noise...digital interference noise. But, car electircal noise must also be coming through the charging circuit. I do not have any issue while charging on AC power.

In the user guide for the Droid RAZR dock (part # 89525N ), there is a split audio/charger usb cable. This cable also shows in several catalog photos for the car dock.I purchased the car dock from a Verizon (official) store, but only got a straight audio cable. what the part number for this cable is, and (b) where can I order it?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently made the decision to stop using my headphone jack. To listen to audio, I plug my listening devices into th 3.5mm jacks that are located on the different docks. The problem I have is that a lot of the phone sounds still come through the external speaker. For example, I am watching a movie and I get an email, text msg, or phone call. I can't hear this because my headphones are on. If I plug my headphones into the phone's actual headphone jack, I hear all of the sounds. If I am in the car and a call comes in, the voice comes through the speakerphone. I have to manually hit the speaker button and then the audio comes through my car stereo. Does any know if there is a way to make the audio from the micro usb to work the same as the audio on the headphone jack?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAny audio that I stream to bluetooth speakers (Supertooth Disco) or headphones (Jabra Halo) has a lot of static and an occasional (and very annoying) popping sound. I've tried a few different programs both streaming audio and playing directly from the SD card. I have also tried using airplane mode to see if the other radios were causing the interference. I turned off all audio effects/EQ in the control panel as well. Everything sounds great wired directly to the speakers and my old phone doesn't have the same problem over bluetooth in the same environment.

If I dial by selecting the contact manually, using the same Bluetooth headset, the call connects normally and audio is fine.The headset is a Jabra 250 and I don't have easy access to another Bluetooth device at the moment. Can't tell if this is a sw or hw issue on the Razr or the headset (which is an older model but still works just fine with original Droid Razr).

I also went to the Verizon store and tried out a display Razr M and it had the same problem. This is very noticeable over headphones when listening in a quiet room. The only features that appear are office, bedside, my music, and charge only. I spoke to someone at the verizon store and they told me to purchase the webtop adapter. I had random issues with the fb app when on GB also, but now it wont start at all, or, it starts, then goes black and never recovers. finally about 10 - 15 minutes later I get a pop up message that the app has stopped responding and do I want to report it. Of course I report it every time.
I tried uninstalling the app completely but could not do it. I could only uninstall the upgrades made to it previously, so I tried that and then reinstalled the upgrades, but to no avail.
I did not realize that fb is a permanent app. I thought I could uninstall it completely, but I cannot. Has anyone else run into this with fb?
yes I did have other issues with ics and I have cache cleared and started uninstalling app's where possible. I have NOT tried a factory reset yet, but that may very well be next.
Has anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual.Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? If I set an alarm using voice commands, the alarm shows up in the list of alarms, but it does nothing when the alarm should go off. To try yourself, use voice commands and say "Set alarm for 5:25 PM" or "Set timer for three minutes." It will show a created alarm, you can see it in your list of alarms, but nothing happens when the alarm should go off.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSo, we've discussed this in other forums. There are hundreds that experience this problem. The volume will not raise or lower when the screen is off. (Such as holding it up to your ear.) You have to take the phone away from your ear and turn on the screen before you can change the volume. So, will they be fixing this any time soon? I know that theyre working on the hotspot, but this affects more users. Some have thought that this was put in by design to keep someone from inadvertently raising the volume while talking. If th the case, then Motorola needs to give us an option to turn this setting off. Many owners are upset about this. e heard that the volume will raise if you repeatedly press it. m on my second Razr and I can honestly tell you that neither worked this way.

But when I switch to mobile data network it works fine and returns the results right away. I can not even use speech to text feature while on wifi it, it does the same thing as voice search on wifi. I am not able to find out what the problem is. The formatting was incorrectly checked causing all caps. Just changed the formatting to correct that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe issue I have is that that stock Motorola messaging app does not allow you to send a text to a vanity shortcode with letters as opposed to all numbers. Spent over an hour on hold to talk to a Motorola rep who then told me that they can only make a change to the messaging app if the carrier (Verizon Wireless) approves it. Just to clarify, it works on iphone and other and other Android phones were it will convert any alpha characters for numbers for you while entering them into the recipient field.

Even with a strong 4g signial it will just say loading for up to a minute before it completes loading. Before the update the app would always load very fast. I have cleared data on the app and uninstalled and reinstalled and it still does the same thing.

Voice search (the app you get to by holding search) and Soundhound give me errors every time I try to use them with the vehicle dock connected. If I disconnect the vehicle dock, they work again, and as soon as I reconnect it they quit working.
Strangely enough, the app "Text by Voice" seems to be unaffected.
I have this problem on my new RAZR MAXX as well as my Bionic.After using a Bluetooth stereo headset or Bluetooth in the car, once the connection drops, the phone's speaker stops working for awhile.For instance, you might get a call and the phone doesn't ring, or you might play some music and the speaker is silent.This usually clears up after stopping and starting the music again, or if you get a second phone call it will ring.
