Ivona used to work fine on my phone, and now it wont. I tried twice to uninstall and reinstall. Ivona tech site is worthless. Ivona shows up as the preferred text to speech app, but the phone keeps using the stock voice.
View 3 RepliesI've had a Bionic since Day 1, charged it the same way, yadda yadda.Last night, I noticed it was no longer charging when I had it on the dock.So, I tried charging it from the wall directly, still not charging.Tried changing outlets, still no go.Plugged it into a USB charger, and it's working.I have it that way in the dock right now, but the old non-usb charger isn't working.Did it burn out? Is it resting?

My problem is when I try to use hands free calling with my Clarion CX609 head unit, the microphone does not connect. I hear the call through the speakers as expected but the phone is still using the built in microphone. After the OTA release of 5.9.902 I still don't have connectivity to my external microphone.I had a Blackberry Tour and it connected and worked perfectly fine. I would think my Bionic would work in the same manner only better.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo i am on my 4th bionic it seems that my signal is always weak. The signal bar in batter use stats is always yellow and grey rarely green. My battery dies faster after update 50% only 4 hours off charger. The thing getting to the most is when i pull phone out of pocket and unlock it the data never works i tried everything rebooting or airplane mode do not fix it. I usually have to pull battery. I did factory reset twice since update. Does this mean i have get #5 ordered for me?

View 6 Replies View RelatedBeen trying to sign in for a few weeks, but I keep getting told my account has been upgraded to a MotoCast ID. That's very nice and all, but I never get any e-mail from Motorola, even though I'm told my validation will be sent to my e-mail address (listed as on file). I had to create a new MotoCast ID (with a different e-mail address) in order to post to ask this question and for help, as I've requested a password reset a few times and none of them go to my e-mail.My old ID was part of the Motorola Feedback Network and contains the IMEI of my phone, and everything I'd need; this makes me think I could even have been invited into the soak test for the Bionic, but not received any e-mails (I was in at least one previous soak test). Can someone let me know how I can get my old account restored? This is kind of a big deal to me, and (by my understanding) was also a source of frustration the last time Motorola changed the way accounts worked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe camera on my Droid 2 doesn't autofocus anymore. For the first couple months, I was taking crystal clear pictures without any problems, then one day the camera refused to autofocus and now all my pictures turn out blurry. I can say without a doubt that the lens does not need cleaning because if I take an extreme closeup (just a few inches from the subject) the pictures are clear. Any further than a few inches, the pics come out blurry. Holding the shutter button down a little only causes a red box to come up, not green. Using the touch screen shutter button doesn't make a difference. I tried factory resetting my phone and this didn't solve the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am getting through setting up my corporate sync> I can get through the following setup steps:
Open Applications tray, select My Accounts
Select Add Account
You will be at the Set-Up accounts menu with several other social network icons
Tap on Corporate Sync:
Enter: Domain nameuser name
Enter Password
Use secure server should be checked.
Enter Email address
Enter Exchange Server Address
Tap on Next to submit settings.
Handset will check with server and verify if successful. If you receive error could not auto detect server, touch OK to manually enter the server name. It then appears that I have connected to my exchange. I can then open up the email account settings and review/change the settings and I will always get the prompt that the update was successful. The connection error only appears when I open the account to check the inbox. The refresh symbol keeps spinning and eventually times out with the connection error.
I've been using my Bionic for about 24 hrs now (pretty heavy useage) and only 3 items show up in the "Battery and Data Manager":
Southwest Airlines App (96%)
Cell Standby (2%)
Phone Idle (2%)
That's it. I've used about 30 different apps and I've had WiFi on and off, I've been on LTE and switched to CDMA only for a bit. I've tried out the GPS, used Google Talk, the browser and a bunch of other stuff that I know takes up battery life and I want to know what is killing the battery? Is there a fix for the Battery and Data Manager or somewhere else on the phone I can look for this info?
I took one picture with the phone and a day later the phones front and rear facing camera are not working. i called motorola and did a battery pull as well as factory reset and still not working.my next step is to go back to verizon wireless and see what they can do. did anyone have this problem?

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGmail is my email. I long ago disabled the "conversation" (threaded) view of messages in Gmail iitself on the web, and in settings on any device. However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter the ICS update my email groups won't function. When i type in the group name it doesn't appear as an option for me to select. This is incredibly frustrating. What's more, the only way you can use the group is by navigating to contacts, scrolling over to groups, then pushing the group, then clicking "send email" this would be fine if i always selected the group before sending the email, but my primary use case is taking a picture and sending it to a distribution group (pictures of my kid sent to grandparents and family every day). When I take the picture then click the button to attach it to an email, then try to type in the group name, it doesn't appear.

I hope my replacement phone doesn't suffer from this glitch. this is getting very aggravating! I've been without data coverage since Weds morning, other than for a few moments, here and there and only after a SIM card pull.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to "My Accounts" on my Droid Bionic, and then click on "Add account", I get the error message "Sorry! The application My Accounts (process com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly."
I wiped out my Bionic and then re-set everything up, and it was working fine until I added my FB account, and then removed the account. Now I can't add any new accounts at all.
I used Google's https: market.android.com to transfer all my apps from my Droid 1 to my Bionic. By and large it was seemless and quick. However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.

I went to use my bluetooth headset and got nothing (a problem I reported earlier), so I rebooted the phone. That fixed the sound, but I noticed I had no network. I saw a post that said it would come back if I toggled airplane mode. It put the phone in airplane mode just fine, but when I asked it to turn off airplane mode, it immediately rebooted.
