Does any one else still have a high pitch noise coming from the phone with headphones in? I don't primarily listen to my phone for music, so it's really not too big of a deal, but it sure is annoying. I thought the OTA was supposed to fix that. And it's not my headphones, they're beats studios.

I keep hearing this high pitch noise on my phone everytime i make calls and recieve calls. I also hear the high pitch noise when i have the phone next to my ear even when not making calls. Does anyone else have this problem with their nokia 6303?? or is this phone just made this way?

While those noises, the caller sounds like he is far away from his phone. The noises come and go like very quickly. It is disturbing. Does anyone have an idea what to do?

We got Motorola on the call and they wanted to ship my phone back for repair but I'd have no phone so that wasn't an option.The local manager at the corp. store near me let me get a brand new one. He had never heard of it but it took us 3 brand new phones before we got one that didn't rattle. Even the floor model rattled as well.Yes I know the phone works and camera.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst time I've gotten this alert.Not rooted.Was in dock all night.Pulled it out of dock and within moments I got an alert I've not seen before, in the status bar.I went to the task manager to see what it was all about and the OS was using 54% of the CPU.Moments later it jumped to 80+ percent.It kept moving between 50-ish and 80+ from moment to moment.I ended up shutting the phone off and restarting it.After doing that, no more alerts, but the first time I checked the OS following the restart, it was at 27%.Basically, it's now using a minimum of 16% and sometimes more than 25%, but never more than roughly 30%.IS THAT NORMAL?oh, and as a test, I put it back in the dock for a moment or two, took it out, and no "high CPU usage" alerts.
View 15 Replies View RelatedLike many of us, I have experienced the problem of noise from the headphone port of my Bionic. This was prevalent no matter what I was listening too (music, podcast, phone call, etc), and was most noticeable when in the car, plugged into the aux jack of my stereo.
A friend suggested getting a ground loop isolator, and I found one on Amazon for around $12 with free shipping. It arrived on Friday, and let me tell you, THE DIFFERENCE IS AMAZING! All the noise is gone, and my music sounds significantly better. No more hiss or noise. I didn't realize how much I had gotten used to it being there.

The last several days I have begun to hear an intermittment buzzing noise when people that I am speaking with on a phone call on the Droid Bionic are talking. The noise does not appear to occur when I am speaking - only when the other party speaks and this has happened on several calls with several people from different phone numbers and it does not matter whether they call me or I call themI had thought that noise issues were relegated to the audio portion of Zumocast, etc. through headphones, etc. as reported via other discussions, but now this issue has come up. I have one day left to return my phone and this is one thing I can not deal with.

Yesterday, I was charging up and then noticed the high pitch whistle sound (for the first time with my own phone) and noticed my phone had died. I've popped the battery multiple times, even trying a second battery with no luck. Each time I place the battery in (without being plugged in to the charger) and I get the high pitch sound for just a second until the battery is completely in. There was also no electricity surge or anything like that with the plug and charger.Can it be saved easily?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just installed a CK-100 into a vehicle. Connected to an iphone 4 via Bluetooth. Music audio is outputted through the RCA sockets into the AUX in of my stereo. Every 10 minutes or so of playing music there is high pitched noise which comes over the top of the audio. Lasts about 20 seconds and then the audio is OK again. Has anyone had this problem? Both latest firmware's.

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGmail is my email. I long ago disabled the "conversation" (threaded) view of messages in Gmail iitself on the web, and in settings on any device. However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."

Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the past week I've been running in high accuracy location mode because, for one I wanted to see if battery saving mode really saved much battery, and, also when I do need gps it's already on. I found that any difference in battery drain is negligible because gps is almost never on unless I'm specifically using it. Also if I have a phone with certain capabilities I want to utilize those capabilities. And what you've found as far as battery drain.

It clicks when I open the camera app, and clicks louder when I hit the "Switch To Video/Cam" button as well. I've had it say sometimes "oops, the camera can't be used right now!" before too! Only once has that happened. But the clicking is persistant.
View 15 Replies View RelatedOn two occasions now the phone has been making an odd 'alert' tone both after unlocking the screen and while the phone screen is active.
It's not an application doing this because they are all closed. The phone is only supposed to make a click sound for locking and unlocking as per sound settings.
I upgraded in July from a LG enV Touch. As the Verizon rep. so correctly pointed out, Verizon currently offers no feature phone that isn't a massive downgrade from the enV Touch. It's probably safe to assume that this isn't going to change anytime soon. Kind of dissapointing. The closest thing to my old phone that Verizon offers is the Droid 3. I remember lusting over the Droid 1 when it first was released, so the 3 seemed like the natural choice.So far I have been happy with the phone. Android has taken some getting used to but beyond that it's a massively better phone than my old enV! I have had a couple of issues though which would be nice to see resolved:- bluish tint from camera. I make part of my living as a photography, so this one bothers me quite a bit. I'm very used to using camera gear that either has very good auto WB or at least lets you tweak the WB for specific lighting conditions.
- Noise reduction settings for the camera. The camera defaults to some pretty aggressive(smeary) noise reduction. I'd rather have some luminance noise than the water color effect. Phone locks up when activating the camera. I have to removed the battery to reboot it. This is one that has sort of been solved, but not in a great way. It was suggested to me that I have photos saved to the internal memory rather than my Sandisk microSD card to avoid this issue. It did work but i'd rather be saving to the SD card from the start.- Airplane mode doesn't work correctly. Once the phone is in airplane mode it will not come out of it. I have to turn my phone off and back on again.- When powering on the phone in silent mode, the phones still makes noise while booting.- Battery consumption seems high all around. I feel like it is even excessive in stand-by.
- This last one is probably not doable... it would be nice to have the option to remove all the garbage Verizon puts on the phone that I will never ever use. I could say the same thing about my enV Touch! Verizon had tons of crap on it that is absolutely of no use to me but obviously consumed system resources on some level.I realized from looking online that a lot of these issues have been brought up before. I don't think it hurts to reiterate that they are actually glitches that many of us experience in day-to-day use.
ok i just got my droid 4 an i am hearing background noise during calls an the person on the other line can here it they descripe it as i am outside during a windstorm when ther is no wind an can hardly hear me sometimes so i thought i would bring this up to moto an see if its a bug or if i just have a bad phone.

I've gotten a number of high cpu usge notifications in the notification bar, but when I open up the task manager to see what is running amuck, the total displayed cpu usage looks small. how to track down the culprit? No new apps, but lots of updates recently, and I really don't want to start randomly deleting apps till I find the one causing this (I've got about 100 apps installed, of which I use probably 10-15 on a daily basis) As a side note my extended battery lost 50% of it's power while plugged into a computer via usb in 3 hours... That has never happened, the computer usb charger has always been more than enough to stop any power drain (while streaming pandora, and connected to bluetooth headphones).
