Motorola Droid Razr :: Input With 3rd Party Keyboards?
Sep 22, 2012This really bothers me. I cannot figure out how to disable this. I disable the Motorola input app but it still shows up in the notification bar every time I type anything. I am using SwiftKey 3. The setting to unchecked Motorola input is Grey so it will not a allow me to fully disable it. Does anyone else using a third party keyboard know how to get rid of this?

It seems to take 3-5 seconds after I wake the phone for the brightness to adjust properly and at times it won't adjust at all-too dim in bright light, too bright in dim light. Before it was almost instant. Tried all the usual things, safe mode, reseting, etc.

Nov 14, 2011Is there any way/app to adjust the Auto Brightness on the Droid X? The brightness that the phone picks is way too bright, so I normally turn it down/off. But when I am in direct sunlight I can not see the screen well enough to find the brightness settings to adjust them so I can use the phone.
I currently use the Android Power Control Widget to change my Brightness settings. It does a good job for me, except in the above mentioned issue. I have looked in the Android Market Place, but most applications just talk about predefined brightness settings. I found one called Custom Auto Brightness, but it does not seem to work on the Droid X.
Motorola Droid 4 :: Adjust Media Volume When Car Docked?
Apr 29, 2012I have the OEM Motorola Car Dock connected with the combined USB audio/power cable. Whenever I dock my Droid 4, the media volume changes to a default setting (somewhere around 90% of max if I had to guess) and cannot be changed with the volume buttons.
This is a huge problem for me as it causes distortion from my car speakers; I need the media volume to be less than ~70% to prevent this.
If I connect the phone via the 3.5mm jack instead of USB, the media volume can be adjusted normally and I can avoid the distortion...but that requires two cables instead of one and I'd have to connect/disconnect the 3.5mm cable every time I am in my car.
tl;dr Is there any way to change the media volume setting when using the USB port for audio output?

Sep 21, 2011In the past - namely when I owned the Droid X - while in a call, I was able to press the volume up and volume keys successfully to adjust the in-call volume while I held the phone to my ear. Albeit the screen was turned off, the volume adjustment responded properly. I find now with the Bionic that I cannot adjust the volume while the phone is against my ear and that I actually have to move the phone far enough away from my face in order for the screen to turn back on and allow for the volume to be adjusted.
This causes me to miss part of the conversation, Matt can this be adressed or is there a setting I am missing?

Dec 8, 2011I am having problems with my screen. Will not time out even though I go back to settings and redo or change. The screen dims for a moment randomly and then lights full again but will not time out. Also there are a few random times when it seems to loose all touch sensitivity (I cannot unlock!) or if it is unlocked cannot do anything - screen seems to be frozen. And now the proximity sensor doesn't work - the screen is still active once it is up to my ear and it's dailing random numbers while I am trying to talk.

Aug 30, 2012I have the Motorola car dock, and when the phone is docked, the volume buttons do nothing. I want to turn up the volume on the phone becuase even when I trun my radio up all the way, the volume is still not loud enough.
If I undock the phone and just use the headphone jack, I can turn the volume up and down on the phone.
So for some reason, the dock disables the use of the buttons.

It switches to night around 1800EST and back to day colors and brightness at 0600~ish. too dark at twilight and too bright first thing in the morning. May 4, 2015On the LG G3 if you don't use the LG keyboard you get the keyboard notification giving you the option to switch between keyboards. To get rid of this you need to have only one keyboard ticked in settings, however there is no way to disable the LG keyboard that I can find, meaning the notification is always present.
