After ICS update I can no longer view my photos that existed before the update on my phone or on a Android tablet or Windows PC.
If I take a new photo I can view it on the phone but no where else.
got the 3.2 update for my 3g Xoom. And now when using my exchange account I can no longer view attachments from email. I have to save the file to the device and view with the aid of a file reader. It worked flawlessly before but now seem broken.

Well I updated this morning and my keyboard no longer vibrates when I touch a key, or if it does it is barely noticeable. Is this intentional? Was a setting changed/re-set due to the update? Is there a way to control the amount of vibration when you push a letter? I am missing the space bar constantly because it doesn't vibrate.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed a new camera update on my 1020 the other day and I can no longer preview the photo immediately after taking the picture.
The only way to view it now is by checking it in the gallery. It was handy to preview the photo to check whether I needed to re-shoot it due to blurriness, blinking etc..
I've checked all the settings and I can't find an option to bring it back.
On 1.83, when charging the phone, after 90%, the LED came on (green) and stayed on until the phone was unplugged.
However, on 2.3.4, the LED doesn't come on at all during charging.
Anyone knows how does MotoCast do its streaming thing? I am using RAZR XT910 (2weeks old and with the latest firmware upgrade for Asia pacific) and have MotoCast on Win XP. So far I'm loving everything and MotoCast is a great idea. Videos and music stream without problem. But recently when I am streaming videos, it either freezes (can press play/pause or Back no problem) or just closes itself, going back to the file list. When I try to open the video file again, it shows to load for a while, but then a message pops up saying "Error during video playback: MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format." How can this be, when it could successfully play just moments ago? Usually a PC restart appeared to solve this problem, but today it has already happened twice and I cannot keep restarting the PC. I also tried clearing app data from motocast and zumoservice, which results in temporary success before the freeze/self-close happens again. My mom is busy on the PC (which is why I'm viewing my files over MotoCast in a separate room) and she just alerted me to a balloon which popped up on the PC desktop which said something like: MotoCast cannot write, not enough disk space. So I suspect this is the root cause of my problem, but how can I solve it? Why does MotoCast need more disk space? Another problem. Since day one I can stream music and videos, but not photos. I am accessing everything via My Files not Gallery. When I select a photo file in My Pictures on the PC, "*spinning wheel*loading content..." appears, shortly followed by "Unable to open this type of file". I can download the photo into my phone and only then it opens. Just to test, I took a photo with the phone camera and uploaded it into the PC (worked fine).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a new work computer and tried using USB tethering with my Atrix. It installed the NDIS adapter but I was getting the infamous 169.x.x.x address. I decided to try it later since I was in a hurry.Now, the phone will not start USB tethering at all. I plug it in and the USB Tethering check box has a light green checkbox like it's turning on, but never changes. I have rebooted and pulled the battery. No change. What's strange is that I plug the USB in and when I go to the tethering screen the USB checkbox is already checked automatically. I seem to remember having to enable it manually before all this started.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am no longer able to turn on Bluetooth on on my Atrix. When I turn it on, it looks like it is turning on but then the widget and/or settings panel check box go back to the off state.
I've tried rebooting but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've seen other posts which recommend a factory reset but I would prefer to not do this as I only factory reset my phone about a week ago.
My LED notification is no longer working. Is there some place to adjust this I am missing? Or is mine just broke?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I take pictures and/or videos with my phone, I can't see the picture or video on my phone. I take a photo. The phone acts like it took a photo. I see a thumbnail initially. When I try to view it again, there is just an icon and the photo is gone. It will say it isn't viewable or a video isn't playable. Can't view them if I transfer them to my computer either. I don't understand what the problem is because sometimes it works just fine. I can still see old photos or videos. The formats are exactly the same as the old photos. I didn't change the settings.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFor the last month (since I bought it) my phone won't hold a charge for longer for 8 hours. This was on 1.26 and 1.57 and now on 1.83
Basiclly I am running corparte sync to Exchange and nothing else right now. I was running a live wallpaper and weather (turned off when battery would die) and same result no matter what I run. Heavy phone use or no phone calls. At my house I have a microcell, but work is low signal. Also Corp HQ where I spend 1 week a month has full H+ connection. All seem to last about 8 hours at all three locations. AT&T gave me a new battery and I have wiped 2 times in the last 2 weeks.
Here is what the battery manager says running after 6 hours.
Now look at the pics, Display seems really high. I am on auto brightness, and have a screen lockout of 2 minutes. This screenshot was from 6 hours of use. No phone calls, vibrate and no signal when picture was taken. Display was used 28 minutes of 6 hours of use.
AT&T just tells me to either wipe device or turn of push on snyc. 8 hours is not right for a new phone with no calls and light use.
I just noticed that Bank Of America App does not work with the lastest update. After I log in, I just get a white page.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my DX, whenever I went to the Gallery, I was presented with the folders on my SD card that contained photos and videos. One folder I had was called "Wallpapers". On the DX2, all photos and videos get lumped together and there is no way of navigating to the folder that contains the photos or videos you want to see or play.I understand that there is a way to "group" photos and videos by day, week, or month. Fine. But why not also let you group them by the folders they are in on your SD card?If you click on "My library" and then click on the "My Library: Timeline" drop-down button at the top of the screen, you get a popup that shows you can view your "My library" by Albums, Locations, Tags, and Timeline. Again, why not also include the folders that they are in on your SD card? I was hoping that was what viewing your library by "Albums" would be, but that's not the case. When I click on that, I get two albums: "All videos" and "All photos". Not very convenient if you want to view a particular movie, video clip, or photo. I don't want to have to sort through a folder containing ALL of the videos or ALL of the photos.
Here's the problem as I see it in practice:Say you want to change your wallpaper. Okay, long-press on your home screen and select "Wallpapers". Now, select where you want to pull your wallpaper from. "Gallery". On my DX, it would take me to the Gallery and it would show separate folders for Camera, All Photos, and the folder I created for all of my wallpapers, called "Wallpapers". So then I could click on the "Wallpapers" folder and easily select the image I wanted as my wallpaper.ith the DX2, after long-pressing on your home screen and selecting "Wallpapers" and then "Gallery" as the source, it takes you straight to ALL of your pictures. I have more than 1,700 on my SD card so I don't want to scroll through all of them just to find the wallpaper images I saved that are mixed in with photos I took with my phone, downloaded images, etc. Sure, if you click on the Menu button and select "Group by", you can group all of the thousands of images by Day, Week, or Month, but again that doesn't help since who the heck knows when those wallpapers were created?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI performed a factory reset today to remove MySpace from my phone (I was unable to remove it any other way) and now I am having an issue with my phone.A number of my notification icons are now showing in gray instead of in color. The two that stand out the most are email notifications from POP emails (the red stamp) and from Gmail. Each of these now shows as a gray icon. This is minor, but annoying that my phone is behaving differently than it should. I am running 2.3.4 and have tried multiple resets (full resets removing all data and media)

There are times I will hit the power button and I can count off one thousand one, one thousand two, up to one thousand six before the screen will light up and then it lights up for just a second and then it goes dark like it has timed out because of inactivity.It is a real wonderful feature when I am showing off my state of the art, top of the line, Android Flagship Motorola phone to people.It does this regularly if I have not used the phone for more than an hour or so and sometimes it will happen sporadically during periods where I check the phone every few minutes, like when I am expecting important emails.
I did a factory reset and removed all of the factory bloatware apps and updated my phone so that it is current on .83.I did not put any apps onto the phone, I left it alone, just set up my accounts.And the phone still has the problem with the long wake cycles.So I went ahead and put my apps back on my phone.Oh, and I tried with and without the SD card in the phone as well. Checking all possible variables.So does anyone else enjoy such long awakening cycles or am I the lucky one here? Does my Atrix need to go on permanent vacation at the AT&T store while I acquire a replacement? Or is this the nature of all Android devices and I should just suck it up?
Why are my contact photos distorted in portrait view on atrix hd? I turn to landscape view they are back to normal?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i take photos from the camera, some photos randomly becoming like panoramas...like titles (happens 1 out 50 captures : single photo gets broken out into multiple tiles and rearranging them in a random order)and i am not able to revert it back to what the photo originally was, Touch screen gets frozen Out(unresponsive) at times...currently i am just pressing the power button twice to over come this problem, When the phone is in the pocket and you are connected to the headset...if a call comes then screen is getting unlocked ..even though you are using hands free(wired in my case) for answering that call.. and options like loud speaker or other things getting pressed in the pocket... the dolution that i found out is adding another lock to the default android lock would solve this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen having the camera save photos to the internal memory, or the SD card, then connecting the phone in MTP USB mode to get the files , the timestamps on the photos are incorrect. I'll take a picture at 5:00PM or something and the file is modified at 3AM etc.
I just took a photo saved to the SD card at 8:49AM and the timestamp is 3:49PM.
If I email a photo from my Camera Roll, it opens up fine on the PC. If I connect the phone to my PC via USB, though, whether I choose USB Mass Storage, or Windows Media Sync, I can't get the valid photo files transferred it seems. The transferred files would be "invalid" to open on my PC running Windows 7. If I choose Windows Media Sync, and then use Windows Media Center to Import the files, it would always get stuck at ~45% completion. The imported files can be opened, but then the rest somehow can't even be transferred.
I used to have data and device encryption on. I turned both off when I found out about this problem, but the same issues remain.
