I purchased a brand new LG V10 on EBay. I received the phone today, the phone won't perform a factory reset. Every time I try to factory reset the phone, the phone reboot and I receive the following message:
My Galaxy S5's screen broke and it is completely black. I need to return this phone to geek squad but I must perform a factory reset on it before I send it, but I dont know how I can do this if I cant read what it is on the screen. Is there anyway that I could perform a factory reset from my computer or is there another way to perform a factory reset without needing the screen?
So about a week ago my phone dies and I put it on the charger... like 60 secs later I try and start it back up. I was also working on my laptop and used one hand to start the device. Once it booted back up it was factory reset. Asking me to set up my phone... I'll my pics and music were gone.
I may have been pressing the vol up or down while holding the power button because I was using one hand and I can see how easy that can happen but I doubt I went through all the steps to factory reset w/o knowing it.
My boss has a GS5 and yesterday evening he was on his phone and all of a sudden it turned off. He didn't know what was going on but said it took an hour to boot back up. When it finally came back on it had done a factory reset and cleared his micro SD card. .
Im using nova launcher right now, and im getting sick of it. Im going to give sense a try, is there a way to reset my phone like a factory restore but without losing all of my pictures and contacts? I dont need any of the apps to stay as i can re download any of the ones i need. I assume if i just use some sort of backup service it will keep everything and thats not really what im looking for.
I brought a blackberry off a friend but her name still aappear's in the message bit and her email address's are still on the phone. How do i reset the phone to factory settings?
So my LG G3 is almost a year old and recently it had an issue which started about a week ago, where it kept restarting every time I opened Snapchat. This gradually increased over time to the point where I got so frustrated I ended up uninstalling the app. However, my phone continued to restart which lead to me realizing that Snapchat wasn't the actual cause of the problem. So I did some research and came across different possible solutions but unfortunately none of them worked :/ One post I found suggested it might be the battery but I'm still not sure. Earlier today my phone restarted but on a loop and I ended up factory resetting it, which I hoped would solve the issue.
I just got a nokia 1520 and it won't complete a factory reset. It gets about 30% through then stalls and resets and goes through the process again. Eventually, I get a sad face and it shuts down.
strange issue had to reset my 1520, only to find most of the cyan apps such as Display, glance, extras and info were gone. Tried updating the phone, in the end had to reinstall from app store.
My brother woke up this evening to find his phone stuck on the android loading screen saying "erasing". He didn't do anything, it did this on its own. Once it had finished, his phone had factory reset itself and he lost everything that wasn't backed up.
If I use smartswitch to back up my phone, will it restore my phone the way it was after I do a factory reset? Or will I have to manually restore my settings or home screen or anything like that?
My nexus 5 won't factory reset and has some kinda api or app on it and has two of every program on it, the original and another, it seems to collect my texts, call logs, and anything I do on it and sends them to a unknown number.
Updated my phone when Lollipop came out. A lot of stuff started happening. My battery gets hot, battery drains fast, the GPS fails, and other odd things.
So I reset my phone and reseated my SIM card. Restarted my phone and now it won't reactivate on the Verizon network.
I recently factory reset my S5 and restored it. Ever since the phone can become unresponsive. It randomly goes to a black screen the multi window light and back up light both come on as if it is still powered up. Sometimes it comes back on but mostly I have to pull the battery. This happens quite a few times a day so annoying.
I have a few problems with my galaxy 5s and I want to reset the factory settings but I want to back up my app data first. Is there a way to do this? I know I can just reinstall each app but I want to save the app data first, if it is possible.
Because my phone was quite spoiled during the time, i decided to do a factory reset. I connected my Z3 (5.1.1. / / 23.4.A.0.546) to the PC (Win10) and resetted the device by using PC Companion.
The reset took some time, and, because i wanted to restart all over again, i decided to manually restore the app-collection (so i turned off the auto-restore option in my google-account).
I've been busy with this during the day, and last night I turned my phone off and connected it to the powercharger.
For the last 3 days I've had to reset my phone (5x) and do a factory reset (2x) because the phone keeps crashing. I don't know what triggers the crash but yesterday was peticularly bad and had to do 2 factory resets. This morning, I woke up and thought I would have to do a third but a standard reset fixed it.Â
I came across a Z5 compact that has an error that may or may not associate with faulty finger print registry.
I was unable to perform hard reset to it. Since i am stuck on the pin screen and the pin on memory didn't work.
I have attempted many methods, including the *#*#7378423#*#* method, which worked fine with the familys other M5 model fine
Pressing power and + / - didn't get me anywhere but the device was not set in dev mode or debug in the first place. When I try to connect to pc, it require me to enter pin which I can not, before I can set up the factory reset, I didn't even manage to the Google method window after.
I would like some input on higher level methods than those can be found on likes if ifixit.
I recently updated my Neo v to ICS...I wasnt able to see songs album images in music player...so i did factory reset...music player problem is solved but now my cell is consuming too much of battery then before... Also google market is not opening...internet browser is slow.
After much consideration, and annoying "xxx has stopped working," I finally factory reset my phone. Wiped everything completely.. Other than Google Search which has refused to understand that I don't care what my previous searches are.. But, I need your input on :
-must have applications. -apps to disable. -anything else that is convient.
Long story short, the person at the Verizon store had to backup and factory reset my phone. I lost all my Quick Memos. She did not inform me that they wouldn't be backed up. Is there a way to recover them?
