LG :: Cosmos Import Contacts From CSV Or Outlook Express?
May 2, 2010My wife just got a Cosmos. She replaced an 8-year old phone which has a phone list that cannot be reused.I have the contacts she wants saved in a CSV file. What is the best/easiest way to transfer from CSV into the Cosmos? Or can I import them into Outlook Express and sync with the Cosmos? One more possible option? Can I transfer the contacts from my new Incredible via bluetooth.

I have tried replacing the ez tip calc, but on the cosmos, it is a .vis file, basically everything is! LG got smart on not putting .swf, but I'm pretty sure it has flash capabilities. Is there any way to get java, brew, or flash on it?

Apr 26, 2010I have an LG Cosmos through Verizon. I can't seem to get Bitpim to transfer ringers and sounds. Someone in another thread said they changed the setting to the VX5500 to get ringers to work. I tried this, and it showed them in bitpim, but they never show up in the phone. Anyone have any advice on what I am doing wrong?

May 10, 2010I just got a new Cosmos from Verizon and so far I love it. Just having a bit of a problem figuring out how to send full size photos to my PC. I tried one at 1280x960 landscape and it auto resizes before I can send it anywhere.I took another 1280x960 portrait and it will send full size to my email addy.I haven't experimented a lot yet, but I'm thinking the landscape orientation used too much file size for the network so it auto resizes. Is there a way to decrease the file size a bit without decreasing the resolution? I need to send pics to my email that are at least 1024x768.Auto resizing is BAD.

Nov 24, 2011Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

Apr 4, 2010I've just gotten a Bold 9700 and noticed that even though I have the option to sync the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts profiles on the phone, the pictures for my phone contacts remain blank. The Facebook profiles are linked to my contacts and sometimes will show the Facebook profile picture but after a while the picture reverts to a blank icon again. I've also unselected the option to sync and re-enabled the option to update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try and force the pictures to update but no success.
I was thinking that it might also be because of a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact pictures seeing as I originally imported all my contatcs from my Gmail account but I am unable to figure out which other apps, if any, are updating contact pics and thereby turn them off.
Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pics correctly though and other than that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are linked to my Blackberry contacts.Any ideas on how I can get my contacts' pictures to sync correctly with Facebook?

Nov 23, 2013I got an HTC One two days ago and transferred my contacts, music and photos from my old phone (a Samsung Galaxy S) using the HTC Transfer tool. It worked like a charm - or so I thought. After trying to send a text today, my entire contact list was completely gone, and the phone is telling me it has zero contacts stored in either phone storage or on the SIM card.
The contacts were there four hours ago. My call history is also deleted, but my texts messages are still saved. Even stranger is that the photos and music that were transferred are still there. Luckily I still have my old phone and can transfer the contacts over again, but it's odd this would happen at all. I'm wondering if it may have to do with google+, as I switched over sms to google+ hangouts this morning on the phone (but I can't see how this would make a difference).

But when I try to delete something from my contact list it always says "Contact will be deleted from phone and server? Delete" How do I take that setting off and ONLY delete from my phone?
