LG :: Any Version Of P2K Commander For EnV Touch (other Than BitPim)?
Aug 12, 2010
My old Razr recently gave up. I replaced it with an LG EnV Touch, which is a great phone.I had successfully hacked into the Razr using P2K Commander.I've been using BitPim with my new LG EnV Touch, and while it works "well", it is not the same type of utility: It doesn't give full access (any access?) to the phone directories. It seems mainly useful for uploading ringtones, pics, etc.
I'm trying to download pics FROM the phone. I realize that there are other ways to do that; but I'm just interested in seeing if there is a way to do that with the phone connected.
I have touch pro 2 on sprint network and phone came yesterday with 6.1 version. I am looking at updating it to 6.5 but when i did firmware update through setting it says no new firmware is available. Do i need to do it manually if so can someone tell me where i can dowload it from?
I have a Moto W385 I'm trying to mod, and I'm looking for P2k Commander 4.9.C.I have P2k Commander 6.0.0, but things aren't going smoothly, and I've found a couple of posts that said using version 4.9.c was the answer.I've looked in the wiki http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/General_Terms but the links (for the earlier versions, none for 4.9.c) are broken.I haven't found any viable downloads via Google either. Can someone email me 4.9.c or a viable link to download it from? -or- Recommend a better P2K app that will work with the finicky W385?
I have updated my Sony Z2 from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 and two "File Commander" are displayed when tap Applications. "Restore to factory" from phone and "Repair my phone" with PC Companion had not any effect. How could I remove the old version?
I just got a new Motorola W385 from US Cellular. I can not get P2K Commander version 6.0.0 to recognize the phone. I have installed the Handset USB Drivers from the Motorola website and set the software to use the correct COM port. If the Mode is set to P2K/P2K05, when the software starts it says that the phone is Linux based and wants to change the mode to P2K05 over USBLAN. This has not corrected the problem. I have tried all three options under P2K Tuning. Do I need a different version of P2K Commander or a different driver? I saw that the instructions called for version 4.9.C of P2K Commander but I was not able to find a downloadable copy of that version.
I have a motorola W385 phone. I've always used XP and P2k Commander 6.0.0 to change ringtones and wallpaper images.
I've since upgraded to windows 7 and I can't figure out what to do now to accomplish these tasks. I have installed the latest MotoDev drivers 4.2.4 I believe, I have installed p2k 6.0.0 But the software just will NOT recognize the phone. It shows up as a modem on com6... as soon as I set the program to com6, the modem disappears from device manager.
I've done this 4 or 5 times in the past using XP and I'm just wondering if anybody has had success with Windows 7 and what software they used to do it?
Really I just want to change the wallpaper and I'm not sure how to send a text message to the phone with an image attached using Windows Messenger (if that's possible)
I did find a computer with XP, but for some reason P2k Commander does the same thing, as soon as you select the appropriate COM PORT, the motorola modem driver disappears from device manager. This software seems REALLY touchy and I just don't know what to try next. I've tried many versions of P2k as well without success.
I want to update my file commander to the version (3.1.13174) PREMIUM , but every time I try to install it a message appears and the app didn't installed. What is this message and why does it appear? I've got this version from a friend of mine who told me the file commander premium is better than the ordinary one. I've tried to install other versions of the file commander premium ,but they are all the same. This message appears while installing some other apps, but I unistall the first version of the app then install the newer one and it works.
I have just received a "Blackberry Bold 9700 Unlocked International Version" which i purchased from Amazon.Com. "This is supposed to be a new unbranded unit".
The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?
I also have other issues with applications. I am unable to download and install the "BlackBerry APP World"; I get a message, " Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World"
"Google talk" give an error messag: " Service not enabled for this hand held" "Blackberry maps" are not loaded on the handset.Setup wizard does not give me the option to set up my personal e-mail only enterprise e-mail.I am able to browse and send and receive MMS & SMS messages.
Kindly advise as to ho to resolve these issues and whether there is a more current software version for the handset, and if so: how do I update it.
I currently am using Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional, and I tried to download the latest BitPim 1.0.6 and even the 1.0.7 software and it would not work properly. Is there a better piece of software that I can use for my LGvx8350 on Windows 7 so that I may transfer my files and upload my ringtones, etc?
I just read forums and finally, after having this phone forever (Lg ax585 rythm), learned how to use my own ringtones thru bitpim!! i was so happy! Anyway, how do I put games on my phone thru bitpm? I know with the ringtones, you have to save and then delete that lg soundfile dat file for ringtones, but dont know where to start for games.
I have been having an issue with pitpim lately. trying to get my photos off of my phone bitpim will constantly freeze and not respond. i have to close it and start it up again and again and usually eventually the photos will get copied to my computer before it freezes if i am lucky. I upgraded to 1.7 and it still does the same thing. I tried different usb ports and it still does the same thing. I cleaned a bunch of photos and videos off to try to lessen the load that pitpim has to transfer. And nothing works.
I used to be able to have bitpim see an older LG phone without any problems and be able to send new ringtones or pictures easily. I cant seem to get bitpim to recognize my Voyager, even though Ive gone through the setup of selecting it. I have the usb cable to connect rather than use bluetooth but no luck. Has anyone got this to work?
Is there a way to use Bitpim with an Env3 and use the features on the far left side of the bitpim program, like Call Lists, SMS, Ringtones, Calender etc?I set Bitpim up to recognize my phone as an Env2 as I found in a thread related to ringtone transfers.
Does anyone know why I keep getting an error on bitpim. The only success I have had is ringtones and sounds. I want to backup my versa phone contacts and images. When I go to get phone data, it offers for me to get phone book, calendar, wall paper, ringtone, memo, sms, and call history. The only thing I have been able to retrieve from my phone is the ringtones.
I just figured out how to add ringtones to your Convoy with bitpim. I started with this thread from grc which say the that Convoy can be recognized through bitpim by manually selecting the SCH-U750 (Alias 2) phone....
The ringtone will actually get written into your sounds instead of your ringtone folder but it can still be used as a ringtone just the same.
first of all leave your phone in usb sync mode and DO NOT switch it to modem mode.
1 Start Bitpim
2 Hook your phone to the computer with the usb cable. Phone will be recognized in bitpim as other cdma phone. Open your phone and hit clear so that sync mode is closed and your wallpaper comes up. DO NOT unhook your phone from the cable. The phone will momentarily disconnect from bitpim and then reconnect. SWEET NOW
3 Go to edit and then to settings in bitpim. Manually set your phone to SCH-U750 (Alias 2)
4 Go to media in bitpim and click on SOUNDS. Now click the add music note at the top and make the ringtone as you normally would. when your finished making it send it to your phone with the add ringtone button and once your phone restarts, check your SOUNDS folder in your phone.....
GRC for getting the ball rolling...I guess this will have to work untill they update bitpim...
I am trying to figure out how to copy the file I need to edit from bitpim to my pc. The reason as many of you know is to try and edit the wap and mms settings for a flashed metropcs voyager.
Can someone please tell me how to to transfer the contacts or even everything I have on my LG chocolate spin phone using BitPim?Do I use the "filesystem" and if so what file is it under? My screen cracked and i'd like to at least copy my contacts to a word document or transfer them to my new phone (blackberry Bold 9700).Do i have to sync the phone itself in it's options? Since my screen is cracked i obviously can't see which menu to go in again to do so - I hope syncing this way isn't needed as BitPim already recognizes my phone.
How can i get my contacts off my old samsung sch-a930 and onto my new blackberry curve 8530? they swapped my contacts at the sprint store but then most of them disappeared later that evening. now i'm trying to get the contacts off my phone and i'm having trouble getting it to work with bitpim. i've done this several times in the past with the same phone. i updated to the newest version and the program sees my phone, but when i click on "get data from phone" nothing shows up at all under phonebook or recent calls. it sees all my ringtones though. anyone know what's wrong or how i can get these contacts off the phone?
I have an LG Cosmos through Verizon. I can't seem to get Bitpim to transfer ringers and sounds. Someone in another thread said they changed the setting to the VX5500 to get ringers to work. I tried this, and it showed them in bitpim, but they never show up in the phone. Anyone have any advice on what I am doing wrong?
I have an LG Voyager with firmware VX10KV11. I am using BitPim 1.0.7.I have imported my Google Calendar in to BitPim with no problem. When I try to push it up to the phone the phone turns off and restarts a second later. The calendar transfer does not happen.BitPim recognizes the phone with no problem initially.
Yes, a VX6100.I need to get photo off my old VX6100 So I bought a cable, found drivers, installed BitPim and nothing happens. BitPim doesn't recognize the phone.Device manager shows that the phone is installed as a modem. VZAccess Manager recognizes the phone as a VX6100.BitPim does recognize my VX8100 which seems to use the same drivers.
I just did a really stupid thing!!! I was playing around with bitpim because I have never used it before.. I have now deleted my whole address book! I had over 200 contacts in it. Is there anyways I can restore my whole address book with bitpim? I am not really an expert at this so if anyone can give me step by step instructions that would be awesome.
I'm not feeling the pink background on the music player for my samsung freeform r350 (metropcs). Is there a software out there that can hack into this phone so i can change it? Bitpim doesn't support my phone.
I have the convoy...i have win7 (32-bit, starter) installed...PC seems to recognize the phone alright. downloaded the modem drivers...everything on that end is cool. I found several threads with much discussion on the topic...but none of the sets of directions have seemed to work.
According to my understanding, I'm supposed to select the modem diagnostic serial port as my target port...unfortunately though, BitPim has read that port as unavailable. The one time that it was listed under the "available" part, it still didn't work. When it seems everything is set correctly, it's giving me a "could not open port" error...port settings are correct.
What else can I try? are there any other methods (w/o using illegally distributed software) that I can use? I've been fiddling with this thing for about 5 hours now....and i wish it wasn't so dadgum complicated. It's my phone, and lets me download music to it...but no ringtones??? come on. (/endrant)
I have a Motorola E815 CDMA phone that was originally a Verizon postpaid (not mine) which my son then used for a while as a PagePlus prepay. It currently has no service, and I'd like to do a Master Reset but I never knew the security code. I thought that when it was activated on PagePlus the security code would revert to 0000 or 1111 but it didn't.Before I invest in a data cable, I would like to know if I can get this using BitPim.
