I have Iphone 4 GSM 32G, after i updated to IOS 5.1.1 I found that no any sound out from it, except from headphone, also the slide that I up and down sound from it dispeared, only appear when i use headphone.Then I downgraded the Iphone to 5.0.1 the same problem still exists, what shall i do ?

I tried everything (hard reset, restore, factory reset, all settings reset etc). On this forum i found a lot users with the same problem after upgrading to iOS 5.1. Unfortunately, there is no solution. The only one "solution" is replacement with a new iPhone - warranty. Unfortunately, my iPhone which I bought over a year ago through T-Mobile had already stopped working (after 11 months ) and I got a new one. Unfortunately, the guarantee of a new (Refurbishment) iPhone was valid only 3 months.
Since I upgraded to iOS 5.1 my iPhone (without sound) is a brick and lies at the desk. Every few days I search the Internet to solve the problem. In my opinion is software problem. I can't understand why Apple don't release a patch for so long.

I have an iPhone 4S.I treat it like gold as I do all my electronics.I recently updated to iPhone iOS 5.1.1 and a few days later I started experiencing problems on the phone of the iPhone; the call connects and I can hear therecipient but they cannot hear me not can I hear myself. I have tried restoring all my settings, refreshing the phone, and turning it off as well as switching the side button to ringer on (I read this in a forum and did it despite it seeming ridiculous). None of this helps me when I make calls.

Ever since the leatest update (5.1) my Iphone's sound doesnt work? when i play music the volume button has disappeared and the keys on the side of the phone only turns the "ringer" up and down. Ive also tried double clicking the home button and swiping to that volume control but the nozzle disapeares when i touch it. The strangest thing is when i but headphones in my volume control all comes back ? Ive reset my phone, turned it off and on and restored it using itunes. What is wrong with it?

A few things changed for the better, but for me, the SMS Notification Sound is gone.
The LED lights up, but no notification sounds period.
I had restarted the phone several times for other reasons, so that ought to be taken care of.
I decided to go through a complete reconfiguration of the phone's default settings for every notification sound thinking that maybe, just maybe they needed to be "pushed again" to "fix it". Kind of like VZW nullifying our Voice Mail and not telling us that it will go away.
None of that made it give me the Chirp Sound when a message came in. Okay, just maybe after a new configuration has been done, it does not take effect until you Restart the Phone??
Couldn't be.But it was............ I did a restart once again AFTER having gone thru the configuration settings, and now the birds are chirping again when I get an SMS.

Do not upgrade to IOS5 if you want your peripheral devices to work. I did it thinking it would improve my customer experience and can now no longer use my USB to connect to my car Bose system or any other device. It is clearly about the yupgrade to IOS5 as any 4S phone that I try that has not been upgraded works fine. Apple TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY for the problems and have suggested I resolve it thought Bose and Ford and every other third party supplier. BE WARNED YOU CAN NOT ROLL BACK TO THE PREVIOUS OPERATING SYSTEM once you have upgraded even if you factory reset. I not have $25,000 worth of peripheral devices that will not work and no support form apple what so ever.
