It does it even when I have the phonelock activated.

May 14, 2012iphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. In Windows Phone 8.1 you could tell IE not to open new tabs, yet i cannot find the option for this in Edge.

Jun 27, 2012I can plug it in but it doesn't seem to recognize the plug...I've tried a couple of them now...no charging, no data transfer. I think the receptacle must be broken in the iPhone itself. It worked a couple of times after I started having the problem but doesn't seem to work at all now...my phone is slowly losing its charge so I need to do something today - because I can't be without a working phone.

May 10, 2012I searched for this issue and found nothing, so sorry if I missed it but I am having a very specific problem since updating yesterday. When I edit a photo, mostly the crop feature, I get a loading circle and then my locked/passcode screen. Has anyone else experienced this? At first I edited about 2-3 photos and then hit this issue, but now it's every single time I hit edit. It's not a full reboot, just a loading screen, then passcode but all apps are still running and it only takes about 5 seconds.

Jun 24, 2012My wife and I have iPhone 4S. When we hooked up (via USB) our iPhones to the Mac, it used to launch iPhoto and we would then upload/delete those pictures. Now that we are doing this wirelessly, it does not automatically launch iPhoto. Only problem is that when we launch iPhoto, it recognizes my phone but not hers.
How to get this changed so she can upload her pictures?

And keep duplicating every time the app updates the library! Now it's #12! Feels like the magician in "Fantasy" Disney's movie!

Mar 22, 2012I record a movie with my iphone 4S. No problems there, I can watch them on the phone. I transfer them to iphoto 11 (v9.2.2) and they wont play. I hear the audio but I see a frozen screen. Now I drag the movies to my desktop and they play perfectly with quicktime. (When I transfer movies from my flip camera, they play in iphoto with no issues.) Apr 21, 2012I have a MacBook Pro (version 10.5.8). I recently installed a new hard drive, battery, and had the Genius Bar reinstall my OS X. Now, iTunes and iPhoto don't recognize my iPhone 4 (version 5.1) when it's attached through the USB port. It simply doesn't show up in the left column of either program. Before the hard drive, battery and reinstall of OS X, I never had this problem.
I have tried restarting my phone and my computer, and looking for my iPhone in Image Capture, and none of these actions have worked.

Apr 24, 2012I am a lifelong apple user. I am running the latest IOS software on iTunes and my MacBook uses OS X 10.7.3. All of the software is up to date. I was originally upset because iPhoto and Image Capture would not detect my iPhone 4 but I got over it. Now iTunes won't detect the phone and that is not ok. I searched the forums but I didn't find anything that has resolved the issue. I cannot delete iTunes and reinstall because my computer tells me it is "required by OS X". Therefore, searching finder and deleting then re installing will not work.
