Cseries :: Contacts Key Function Inactive: C3-00 Model?
Aug 28, 2011I have just purchased a Nokia C3-00. The left-hand side contacts key function is inactive, however, and I can't get this button to do anything. When I press the left-hand side Contacts Function key, nothing hapens at all.When I go to Menus > Settings > My Shortcuts, I can find information on the "Contacts Key," and it says "Contacts Key Off." When I click the "select" button at this menu to edit the contacts key, I see a menu for "Contacts Key" and the "off" radio button is clicked. But there is no option for changing this radio button to "on." If I try to click the menu button at this screen, I simply get a message confirming the fact that the "contacts key function is inactive." I would like the turn on the contacts key.

I found out you can erase the duplicated names by pressing Option -> then press letters RSET --> which deleted ALL my contacts clean instead. I tried to put the names and numbers back into my phone but it wont let me save and so now I don't have any contacts on my phone.

Nov 1, 2012I have my partners old 8900 curve and have been using it fine for a year, except that his old contacts were saved on the phone and mine on the SIM. I decided to delete his old contacts so I could copy mine over, I found on the internet that you can use RSET in the contact menu to delete all contacts at once. It worked perfectly but now the Blackberry will not save any new contacts, at all, ever!
It won't copy them from the SIM and it won't even save a contact when entered manually. I don't use it for anything other than phone calls and emails, so it has no apps that I know of.Also I have no software on my laptop to back it up or update it etc, I really only use it to read emails and receive phone calls when i'm not in the office.
