Dec 14, 2010i copied pics from ALL to ALBUM's new folder and then deleted the same pics in ALL folder but automatically all the pics in new folder got deleted.
normally in all nokia phones this method works without any prob.

Sep 9, 2014I was on vacation and used my iphone 5c as my video camera. I copied my videos onto my PC regularly to back them up how this was not my regular computer to do an itune back-up. I just checked my videos on my computer and several of the files would not open. They show up blank with no size (0 bytes), only date to the file, no other information. It's like the file didn't fully copy over, however, it removed itself from my phone. They are no longer on my phone either how I would cut them onto the computer so I would save space on my phone. Is there anyway to recover or restore these files.Â

Oct 28, 2010I had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]

On the phone I added a picture to a contact. Later, I added notes to the contact on Outlook, and the picture on the phone disappeared. What's up with the pictures?

Apr 9, 2012 my old iphone3GS. I have iphone 4S and ipad. Dad started deleting contacts but because we are both on same wireless network it has deleted contact from my iphone, ipad and icloud. HOW can I get them back???? I had so many contacts in there I don't even know which ones he has deleted....... I thought icloud was supposed to be back up but they have deleted immediately from there too???
And once some lovely person can tell me how to do that, how do I untether my old phone (now dad's phone) from mine? Attached it to his itunes instead of mine but clearly that hasn't worked.

May 15, 2012On my wife's iPhone the standard issue "Contacts" app has disappeared, and neither does it show under the phone apps when plugged into iTunes. It has not been moved into a folder of any type, for my wife has none of those. When I search the iTunes app store this original Contacts app does not seem to be listed. Is there a way to restore this app to the phone? Her contacts do appear in the phone tab on her iPhone, and in the Address Book program on her iMac.

Mar 25, 2012I have an iphone 3GS using 5.1. I regularly sync/backup to my Macbook running 10.6.8. I probably do this once daily at least. The last sync/backup was this morning. Sometime this afternoon I lost all my contacts on my phone. It may have happened when I plugged my phone to my imac at work to recharge it (it is set not to sync, just to recharge, and I also do this regularly without any issues.) Recent and favorite phone numbers are there, along with texts and phone numbers for those, but only one contact was saved. This contact was added earlier this week. I tried to restore using the backup in itunes, but nothing came back. When I check for backups in the Devices tab of the Preferences, the only backup that shows up is the one where I tried to restore the contacts. I tried "Import SIM Contacts" through the Settings on the iphone, but nothing came back. I have also tried the trick with finding a message with a restored contact name (I have one) to "magically" get back all contacts and that does not work either. Everything else on the phone seems to be in place; just missing the contact names. Cannot find these backup files on my computer or on TimeMachine backups either.

Mar 28, 2012I just updated my iphone and all my contacts have been erased. All recent calls and text messages are there. We have updated other iphones without losing the contacts. Is there any way I can get my contact information restored. We specified for the update to not sync contacts since I had no contacts in my itunes library. I had over 200 contacts on my iphone so i did not want to have to type them individually into my library.

Apr 15, 2012I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud.The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do? There is no apple store in my country.When I erase the phone and try to set it up it doesn't "see" the backup, and makes me setup a new phone.After setting up the phone it can see the backup (In iCloud settings I can see it), but there is no restore option.When I log into [URL], I can see all the contacts, so it has indeed been backed up. I just don't know how to get it on the phone.
