BB Bold 9700 :: UK Postcode Entry / Phone Not Allowing Numbers To Be Entered
Feb 5, 2010I got my first ever BB yesterday, the Bold 9700, but there's a problem with the address book which is driving me nuts! Despite setting the phone up for all available UK localisation options on the startup wizard I cannot enter the postcodes of my contacts in the address book. The field is labelled "zip/postcode" but will not accept letters, just numbers as would be the case for a zip code. I've tried to override the number lock which is the default for this field, but the phone will not allow it.
I've rechecked the "options" folder and the "advanced options" subfolder, but there is nothing which gives me an option to overcome my problem. For those unfamiliar with UK postcodes, they mostly follow the format AB1 3XY but some have a seven character format AB12 3XY. BB's have been in the UK for ages so surely someone knows how to fix this issue, unless it's specific to my model which I understand hasn't been out that long.

May 10, 2012i just got an iphone 4 The iphone was restored to factory settings so it would be new for me. I set up my iphone and put sim in it. The diplay on the iphone says that there is no service. I have no idea how to fix this i have tried two different sims, toggling the airport button, restoring it, turning it on and off. i have no idea how to fix this. i have done nothing to the phone but turn it on, restore it and update it. I dont understand why it doesnt work considering it was working a week ago. I have updated the software to 5.1.1 and still nothing. I have no idea what to do considering i have tried everything and i really dont want to go all the way to the apple store which is really far way.

IPhone :: Not Accepting Meeting Invitations On 4?
Mar 12, 2012I am seeing a problem when accepting Meeting Invitations on my iPhone or vice versa on my iPad.I get a meeting invitation on both devices.If I accept them on my iPhone they still show on my iPad as I have not accepted them yet.This can go in the other direction too.if I accepted them on my iPad first and they still show as not accepted on my iPhone.But, the weird thing is on the device I just accepted them on and in my Outlook calendar on my desktop they show up correctly (just not on the second device).
The other funny and weird part is if I go to accept them after the first time on say my iPhone (so, now I go to accept them on the iPad because they still show as not accepted on this device) and now I accept them on the iPad it will accept them.now the meeting invitations are sent back to my iPhone as not accepted. I can keep going back and forth with this. If I go back to my iPhone to accept them, then they show back up on my iPad (with red circle notification of x number over calendar app) as not accepted or like they are new invitations. So, I can can going back and forth with this and one device will always show that I have meeting invitations waiting to be accepted when I have already accepted them on one device.p.s. I have the latest iOS software on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. This happened with 4.x iOS software too.

IPhone 5 Quit Accepting A Charge
Sep 10, 2014My iPhone 5 is 2 years old. I never recharge unless it's less than 50%. I've had no problems until a month or so ago. Now when I plug it in, there is no green battery ding or no green battery showing it's accepting a charge. Could it be the charge attachment line? Sometimes I take it out and turn it over and try it again and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. If I keep playing with it long enough so far I've been able to get it to start charging.

Aug 20, 2014I am using iphone 5s for almost half a year. By far it has provided me very good user experience.
But there is an issue which i feel is important to be catered to.Â
Whenever i receive a call, in the display at times i don't get the reject call option, instead a slider is provided only to accept the calls.
At other times there are two buttons for accepting and rejecting.
I would like to know what can be done to get uniformity in this case.

Mar 27, 2012We just upgraded to IOS 5.1 on our 3gs/4/4s iphones in our organization. When we receive an appointment notification and accept it via our PC's Outlook program, there are no issues. However if we accept it via our iPhones it changes the time of the appointment by one hour ahead. (original time 6-7am, after accepting appointment new time is 7-8am)I went online and found some recommendations of turning off Time Zone Support, but it does not help. I have completely removed all 'Exchange' email settings and reconfigured it back in. no dice!

May 11, 2012I recently bought an Iphone 4S and tried creating an Apple ID but was not successful because I don't have a credit card. What I did was I just registered using my laptop and was able to create one without any credit card details. However, when I tried using it on my Iphone, it still asked for a credit card which again, I don't have. I read on some topics here that you need to initially put in your credit card details and then just change it to no credit card afterwards. How can I do that if I don't have a credit card at all. It's sad that Apple assumes ALL people have credit cards.

This resulted in me no longer receiving emails to my blackberry because, as you would imagine, it didn't have the correct password stored.The issue I am having is that my Blackberry ID is continually rejecting my password despite it definitely being correct and so I am unable to change the blackberry's registered password for my email account.I have tried everything I can possibly think of to fix this including full reboots (taking the sim and battery out) etc but still can't seem to fix this.Is there a way for me to update this information online somewhere to save me the hassle of fixing the blackberry? Feb 12, 2015The other I got the popup for the AT&T Lollipop update, and since my G3 is rooted simply dismissed it and submitted a tip to AC. Since then it popped up again yesterday and I had to actually force stop the update service to get rid of it.
Last night I rebooted my phone before going to bed and this morning I woke up to find my phone is updated to 5.0.1. How could this happen? First, how can the OTA happen on a rooted phone, and second, how can it happen completely unattended!
I'm really ticked now. I had no intention of upgrading since my G3 was tweaked to perfection, running as smooth as silk and doing everything I wanted the way I wanted! I thought a rooted phone couldn't even take an OTA. I checked and of course SuperSU says there is no SU binary installed. And yes, I'm positive I was rooted! I don't get it.

May 11, 2010I have only had this phone for 7 months and now when I try to connect via USB, my computer does not recognize it at all when I open PC Suite or Ovi. I've tried choosing both PC Suite and Mass Storage options when connecting. Neither has worked. I even switched USB cables to see if there was an issue with my original one and this has failed as well.

She then accepted the shared calendar, but then her own Home calendar was replaced with mine, and she can no longer find hers anywhere.
