when i try to type a number for call is just dont play any sound, or messaging, and if i received a message i can't hear it, so i don't even know when i have a new message.

Two nights ago when I was in the middle of typing a txt message the keyboard clicks stopped sounding? I've checked the mute slider which is not on mute. Also when I press up or down on the volume controls, no bars appear to show the volume level, just the image of the bell without a line through it. I have tried a hard reset and checked all the volume settings in sounds but they are all switched to on. When I had headphones plugged in and tried txting I could hear the clicks and the lock sound. I have also cleaned the USB connector with a soft toothbrush...?? My macbook is currently with a computer engineer as he is trying to transfer data from my old laptop so cannot connect to my itunes.

My custom tones were working as of yesterday...now they only work for phone calls and not text messages.This is for some not all of the ringtones though. What did i do wrong?

right after I upgraded to 3.1.3 then jb with spirit I noticed that the clicking sound when typing on the keyboard has gone way down...almost impossible to hear. I can increase it with the left volume keys but then my ringtone volume is too loud lol. is this a result from the 3.1.3 upgrade, jb, or both?

I loaded some custom tones into my iphone via SSH, and 3 of them will not work. The files are fine, I checked. They have the right names and everything. But they don't play on the phone. I deleted the original files before overwriting, if that helps clarify things. I have been trying to figure this out all afternoon and I am about ready to sell the iphone and get a Nokia or something.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAbout 4 weeks ago I purchased three .99cent alert tones (R2D2: Happy, Chewbacca: Roar, and Lightsaber: Power Up). However once I synced my 4s with my macbook the tones vanished from the phone, and no matter what I do (resets, de-selecting sync tones then reselecting it, manually dragging it over to the phone) these 3 tones will not get onto the phone. All of my $1.29 tones still work however.I re-purchased them (hey Apple - how about not making people pay multiple times for tones), and again, the tones worked until my Iphone synced with my macbook, then the same vanishing act occured.

my lock button isn't working very well it doesn't click and you have to push it really hard for it to lock and unlock. I have had my phone over a year but once I got it I put it in an otter box case and its been in there ever since and I haven't dropped it at all. I've recently got an HTC Desire and although sceptical about the Android platorm I have been very impressed with how intuitive it is and managed to work out where most things were pretty quickly.
I am struggling to personalise the SMS/Email tones to indicate a new message. Also, I can't find how to personalise the alarm clock tone. is there an app available to allow me to personalise these tones?
I want to click one button and have an open blank text screen. My next step would be to select a contact. Can I go this?
Right now, I click the SMS and MMS app and it takes me to all my most recent messages. Then I click the menu button, then I scroll down to Compose SMS Text.
I haven't set anything different for anyone, but yet I get different ringtones and text tones sometimes for different people, can i reset all tones, if so how?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOk I have noticed that on the Torch the text tone is the same for everyone even if you assign a ringtone and tone for message for a contact. Before on the 9700 when you received a text, e-mail whatever tone was assigned to that contact came through. I guess that feature is gone.

The two lists are different! Why I can't pick the same sounds for contacts?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently installed the new OS (.607) for the Storm 2 9550 (Verizon) using DM. Everything seemed to go over well; didn't backup my contacts and lost BBM contacts (i didn't think to back them up, Whoops :x ) Anyway, i had SMS alert tones for specific contacts which i had edited while adding the contacts when i first got the phone, back in October/November. When a said person texted/called, the tone that i assigned worked like a charm. Fast Forward to a few days ago (whenever .607 was officially released), i was re-adding my contacts (thank god i still have my old LG Dare), and putting in the custom tones for the specific people like i had before (the ringtones are saved on my 16gig memory card) and i noticed that when one of them called, the tone works as it should. However, when i get a SMS from them, it plays the default SMS tone (which is also custom). The same thing happens with MMS messages as well. Any ideas as to why the default tone plays instead of the custom one i specified? (I tried taking out the "-" in the phone #, since when i enter them in my contacts, i enter the number like so: (XXX)XXX-XXXX) but when i do that, the SMS shows up in my BBM chats with the BBM alert (was a suggestion i found while Googling the issue).
