IPhone :: Keep Getting Messages That Storage Is Full?
Jun 25, 2012
My phone is giving me messages that I have no more storage although it should have 16GB capacity. I have a modest amount of music and 40 photos. How can I find out where all the storage has gone to?
my iphone was synced on another library soi tried to backup the files but i had no space on disk so i changed the disk location from prefrences but then i got the same msg again , now i have no disk space and no backup files plus i can't delete the files because i have no idea where they are , what to do to free some space on disk now ? !!
iPhone 4has been acting really strange within the past few days. I can't download anything anymore because it always says the storage is full, even when it isn't. It even says in the about section that I have 3 GB of space available. I can't take photos either., but I can with instagram for some reason. its how my phone iis contradicting itself yet still doesn't let me do what I want. And believe me I only have like 5 small apps and songs. I clear all my messages and everything. i also tried restarting several times and resetting network data
I've done just about everything I can think of... Soft reset, hard reset, deleted all but 21 pics, and only 11 apps left. No music, no videos, and yet i still get the message "storage almost full". Even after deleting a 395MB app, it still says Storage almost full. And to add insult to injury, after the last soft reset, when I access mail, it downloads all messages from the server, then shuts mail down. When I open it again, the same thing.Â
I keep deleting apps and it keeps giving me the message that my storage is almost full. I have gone through and deleted everything I can think of besides my pictures and music but it isn't changing anything.
I already deactivated the storage I just want a full refund for the storage that I purchased and did not use. When I try and call apple they want me to pay for an answer.
- My wife and I both have the iPhone 4S 16GB and we also have an IPod 2 32GB.
- My iPhone and our iPad both have the most recent iOS updates
- My wife and I share an iTunes account
- We have an iTunes Match subscription and are currently right around the 25,000 song limit. My iPhone and our iPad are the only devices with iTunes Match enabled thoughÂ
Problem:Â
I recently managed to convince my wife to update to iOS 7 and have all the latest updates as well. It seems that ever since then we've been getting a "Storage almost full" message on all of our devices. Â
I restored both of our phones to factory recently so there's literally nothing on them except for a few pictures now and some apps. The iPad has nothing on it except for iCloud pictures and some music.Â
The Storage almost full message does go away if we restart the afflicted device.Â
I just purchased the new iPhone 6 16GB.upgrade jump T-mobile not paid in full $700.Nevertheless, why do I keeping getting a message about storage full? And it says...Go to setting and manage storage with iCloud. I have deleted most of the app, photo, and just about everything else, and still keep getting this message. It's almost as if I will be paying additional 3.99-19.99 a month to manage the icloud for apps that I already had. Perhaps this is the gimmicks to order the 64GB iPhone 6. In fact, the 64GB is offered as an upgrade to new or additional line customers. Come On give us a break for the loyal customers Geezh!!
Plus can't even upgrade software update to iOS8.1.1 because there is not enough storage. What sense does that make to even upgrade to the new iPhone 6
iPhone 5s 16GB storage is full (12.9 GB used).Newer software will not update, Google Voice crashed-- is now gone--and callers cannot leave voicemail, they get a message that my number "cannot be connected; try again." Safari frequently drops me/closes. I am trying so hard not to be frustrated...iOS version 7.0.4 (11B554a), [HW Model: iPhone6, 1], iOS version 7.1.2 will not update. iCloud Total Storage is 25.0 GB with 15.4GB available (iPhone backup is 8.5 GB and iPad mini backup is 1.1 GB, so Total Backups is 9.6GB. I thought buying iCloud data would fix the issue, but it only seems relevant to backups.Yes, this is my 1st iPhone, & iPad, ...the learning curve feels massive compared to my other smartphones. I don't have any music stored or videos because of the storage problem...I am used to using data cards to go back and forth physically from phone to camera to laptop (nonApple obviously), so I am perplexed on how difficult it is to add phone storage; there are no SD card slots, i.e.
storage full message appears on my iphone 5 while I have 20gb free on my ICLOUD,
I deleted all my pictures,a lot of apps and it still appears and it sayS to manage my storage on settings to buy more space ,what do I have to do?
I used to have a lot of pictures and a lot of app,I deleted most of it and the message still appears and alway says to buy more storage as I still have 20gb free.
Never seen this error before... "could not back up - storage full"Â ...
The following items (seems to be "applications") could not be backed up ... Â I dont think it is backing up to my phone (which has 16gb of the phone empty and 46gb of the sd card empty) but there is no way to see what is backed up "via wifi only" to where...
I'm using Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G25F) and I'm trying to move an app to system but it says system storage is full. I have been searching for a while but couldn't find any solution, every search result take to "how to free up internal storage" but what i need is to free up system storage. My device is rooted and my storages reads as:
Root: 1.57MB free of 3.53GB
Internal storage: 2.8GB free of 25.31GB
So the one I need to free up is root as i need to move an app to system and its not possible if its full.
P.S: i didnt install any apps in system or I would have deleted or moved them to internal storage. I dont even know what taking up all this space.
I've encountered with my Xoom FE.I have no pictures, music, or videos at all on the device - only apps.I added up the total of every single app including data and cache and it only takes up a small fraction of the devices storage.when I checked the storage in the settings, it says I only have 4.15GB of the available space and that my apps are taking up 7.28GB.There is just no way I can see how that is possible.I should have the majority of the available space left.I could do a factory reset but that would bite.Is there anything I'm missing that I can try to figure out why it's showing up so much app space?Even with the caches and data cleared, it doesn't help. Also, I have a few downloads in there but they take up very few MBs much less a GB.
One other thing I have nearly the exact same apps with ebooks and a few games on my Galaxy Nexus and my older and smaller but trusty HTC Flyer tab. They both show my apps taking up a fraction of the space that my Xoom FE does.I use AndroZip Pro as a file manager and it shows the same thing so something is up.
As I was texting, a message popped up stating that my phone storage was full. I stopped and checked the storage and memory space to see that they were perfectly fine. I went back to send another text and the message popped up again, the message didn't send and when I tried to access my texting again, it force closed until I rebooted the phone. I am using the stock messaging app, but a different home launcher. I have not previously had problems with this in the past using this same launcher, and only had 38 conversations going (all with only a few texts in each). Does any have any idea as to the reason for this and how I could solve this issue?
I have an OTG cable and it was my understanding that although this wouldn't give me full "mass storage" it would at least allow me to access media on an attached USB flash drive? Have I missed something?I have File Station and am not rooted
I have a few admirals at work. This is the second one in the past 30 days.mployee get a Dvice storage is full apllication cannot continue.I also have a 1 gig external sim added to the factory 2gig.When I hook up the phone to USB it displays The phone displays 1.13gig free of 1.3 and the SD card reads 908 free of 917. So plenty of space!!There is not too many extra application loaded on the phone.probrably 8 apps loaded besides factory apps. When I pick the full icon. It will display "app storage .99gb used 5.1mb free" We do use corporate sync. Email engine displays 779mbHow can I fix this?
I woke up this morning and i found out that mail for exchange is unable to get new emails because my user storage is full. I only have about 15 emails in my inbox and yet it is unable to check for new emails and it tells me synchronization failed. So I checked the phone memory and i only have 116.5 MB for installable applications and 18 GB for phone memory. i dont understand why i only have 116.5 Mb for my installable applications i only have about 60 applications and each is only a couply of KBs from the extras repo and from ovi and nothing from extras testing or devel. i have a couple of TV shows and movies. so what could be causing this and is there a way to exactly find out why i am low on memory and fix it. i am able to get email for my gmail account and aol account.
I have an iPhone 4s and I kept getting alerts saying my storage was allmost full, so I went in usage it said my messages were taking up 6.8 GB of data. I went and deleted them all even though I only had 18 conversations and after deleting every single one its still taking up 6.6 GB!I have no messages anymore but its wasting all my storage for some reason??
I'm trying to work on my IPhone as use to do on my Blackberry but I'm very frustrated , many important messages are " partially downloaded " and I can't see them , I have tried to download again many time without any success , why ? What is the problem and why such futuristic device fail to deliver on what is the most important tools we have today " emails " , of I don't get this problem away I must go back to the old device?
I have an iphone 4 (3g). I receive messages that my voicemail is full. I have deleted numerous numerous voicemail messages, but I still get message the box is full. What do I do?
i would like to know that how much messages storage is available in Nokia X1-00 & X1-01 Respectively & Also tell this that Both SIMS work @ Same Time or when we recieve call on 1 sim, other stops working?
I have an iPhone 5 and its at full capacity. Mostly due to my large music library. I noticed I can increase my iCloud storage to up 50GB with yearly payments. Does this increase the overall storage on the iPhone 5? Essentially, I am trying to increase how much music I can hold on my iPhone. If I add 10 to 20GB of iCloud storage, will I be able to add more data (audio files) to my iPhone?
So for weeks I've been dealing with a low storage space issue on my N5. I've been hovering at about 500MB of free space. I delete some photos, some cached data, etc., and get some more breathing room for awhile. (An aside: there's a specific app that is using way too much data storage and the amount keeps going up and up; I'm trying to resolve that issue without deleting the app.)
Occasionally I've received the system alerts about no new voicemail downloads, possibly no new message downloads, etc. I'll clear some space and those alerts go away and everything continues to seem to work fine.
This morning I got the low storage space alert(s), deleted some stuff, eventually got a handful of new email notifications, but for the past 6+ hours I've received no new txt messages (I use Messenger app for sms). I currently have 553MB of free space, I'm getting email notifications, and txt messages I send out are successfully received.
How do I resolve this? My N5 is unrooted. I've tried leaving it off for awhile, and have obviously rebooted it. Could this just be some network issue? (I'm on tmobile.)
(btw, I somewhat recently backed up and deleted a bunch of sms/mms messages, so there's only about 8000 currently on my phone, taking up about 165MB of space.)
Installed MotoSpeak to get the full benefit from the Roadster device. Immediately upon installation received a low storage message even thougth I had 29.97 MB available on my Droid 1. I have run with no problems at this memory amount before. But more importantly, I am unable to receive any text messages. Text messages are "rejected due to full message memory'. I do not have any text messages on my phone. Have deleted all of them before installing MotoSpeak.
This appears to be a problem with MotoSpeak and not my Moto Droid 1. Has anyone been able to get MotoSpeak to work successfully with their phones?
I get the message SIM card full delete SMS messages every time I use texting. I have followed the directions on the website. I have a 9810 with version 7 software. When I go to messages >options and then the SMS section there is no option to check or uncheck for saving SMS to SIM card. Please do NOT give me those same instructions again. How can I stop this otherwise? I don't have very manytext messages saved at all.
I recently purchased a BB Bold 9000 and my SMS message inbox is full already. Every time I recieve a msg it asks me to delete some msgs to create space. Is there any way I can save all my existing msgs to my device or my memory card and all the incoming ones too?
