My phone makes the "plugged in " noise when I connect to the USB but does not appear as a device in the list on the left hand side of the itunes page. There has not been a problem previously.

Windows 7 64 Bit does recognize the iPhone4 although. What the title says. i have 2 ipods that do appear in the itunes list however. View 1 Replies View RelatedThe iPhone 3GS was syncronized in iTunes. I was using iCal too, but I'm not sure if there's any automatic or manual syncronizing there. Just right after unplugging the iPhone from iTunes after the syncronizing was finished, the entire SMS list was deleted on the phone. I'm not sure if the backup procedure is usually running at the same time together with the syncronizing. But anyway is it possible to retrieve back the SMS list?
I have tried out several backup and recovery applications for iPhone and programs for Mac, but none of them work to backup the latest SMS list.
I also have an entire external backup of the whole Macbook, and with a swipe of luck it was backed up just two days before the deletion.

I dropped my phone maybe 6 inches off the floor, I have just been on the phone to orange for an hour or so and he was very helpful but i never did a back up on itunes so hey ho. I started saving the numbers i knew which the phone allowed but 5 minutes later my contacts list was empty again. Is there something that has broken internally when i dropped it?

I have a weird problem in my Galaxy SII. Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

I followed the unlocked instruction from AT&T to restore my 3GS iPhone from factory settings. After completing restoring, follow the steps to set up the phone and stuck at activation screen. I inserted AT&T SIM card and connected to iTune but still failed to activate with following error message on iTune: "There is no SIM card installed in the iphone you are attempting to activate. Please disconnect and insert a SIM card in the iPhone." I have retry several times (including disconnect and reinsert the sim) but no luck.

i have a customer who has a iphone and needs to update to ios 5.1 for a corporate app to work. he does not have personnal machine at home to install itunes on, and the company will not allow itunes to be installed on any of their systems (you cant even run the installer as its blocked).i have my own machine that i connect to their guest wifi but when i try to download the ios 5.1 update, it says 36 hours remaining (i think they are blocking the traffic).is there a way to download the firmware while i have my machine at home and then install when i am back with the user (i only see the user for about 1 hour a week)

i am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

I recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.

I have tried syncing my phone to my computer before but it deleted any song and playlist that wasn't in the iTunes on my computer. I sometimes will buy a song on my phone and I don't want to have to look up every song I have bought on my phone to go through and download it on my computer. I downloaded some of my old CD's to itunes and I've noticed that the songs are not downloading to my iphone, even when I go to my phone and music and check the box. I've sync'd like 5 times and nothing.
I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.
I have no idea what's going on. Is is a PC issue? Is it an itunes issue?

My Itunes account works fine on the computer with the password i selected, however on the Iphone it never works, ever time i have to update or download an app i have to reset my password for it to work.
