I have checked the box "Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected" but iTunes doesn't start up when phone is connected. It used to work. I've unchecked the box and applied the settings, then rechecked the box and applied the settings. Still doesn't work.

After  dipping my phone in water for about 10 seconds at a depth of 15 cm, the touch screen went crazy. Brightness was at its maximun ignoring the ambient light sensor. 20 minutes later the phone was off. I thought was the battery, but before this, the battery was at 60 %. I let it in rise for two days, but it doesn't start or charge the battery. Is dead. Two times, when I connect the usb charger a red led light turns on, but turns off after a few seconds.

My iPhone 3G is being recognised perfectly happily by iTunes, but absolutely nothing else. It doesn't appear in Finder and doesn't open iPhoto when I plug it in, so I can back up my photos.
I've tried restarting both the Mac (which is running Snow Leopard) and the iPhone. I've tried several cables. The result is always the same. iTunes spots the iPhone (it did use to automatically open iTunes, but I stopped that) and nothing else. No icon on the desktop, no appearance in Finder and won't show in any searches I do.
How can I fix this, and start backing up photos again?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 3GS doesn't seem to charge all of the sudden, and won't start up properly.When plugged in, it shows the battery meter at the lowest red slither of power (along with the lightning bolt symbol). It will periodically try to start up on its own, but doesn't get past the Apple symbol. Never gets to the home screen. I tried going into recovery mode to restore, and it manages to stay on in order to complete the restore. The last step iTunes shows is to leave it plugged in for the device to restart and be verified, but when it turns off, it goes back to cycling to the Apple screen and never fully turning on (in which case iTunes will say that it was not able to verify the device), or just showing the charging screen with the lowest possible red bar of power.

I recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.

I have just installed freecaddie golf gps app and im having issues with it. I am trying to connect my iphone 4S via USB port to ITunes. It is not showing my device on ITunes for me to access it when it is plugged in.
