I've been using my iPhone problem free for a while now. Except recently, iMessage will not send messages in iMessage form to one person.
It had worked before and now it doesnt. After a while it just sends as a text message.
Ive tried: rebooting, changing emails, and turning off iMessage.

I used to be able to iMessage my mother on her iPhone on both my iPhone and my mac. All of a sudden, these messages are not going through. I am able to send iMessages to other contacts on both devices. I have restarted my phone, reset the network settings and even deleted the contact, but it still only sends messages to her as SMS.
View 3 Replies View RelatediMessaging has been fine until this last week, and now, 75% of the time any imessages don't send to my girlfriend - they don't change to delivered either - they just sit there, in blue, but not sent or delivered.
We have both restored our phones and backed up from icloud - this didnt fix anything.
We both changed our imessage "recieved at" email addresses yesterday - to make our tests weren't sending from the old attached email account, I'd send a message to her, then get her to reply and vice versa - basically to make sure it was the newly setup email (as I believe there's a propogation period when adding a new email to imessage?) - either way, this didn't work.
I've tested via my ipad2 - shockingly enough, this didn't work.

We have no problem iMessaging anyone else with an iPhone however to each other it does not work. On her phone the bubbles are still green despite the fact that we both have wifi on and iMessage on yet on mine it will be blue and say delivered but she doesnt recieve anything? However what I have noticed is that on her phone she has no other options such as the 'Send Read Receipts', 'Sent as SMS' or the 'Receive at' which from what ive tested with on my other iPhone friends do have so at first i thought that would be the problem but it can't be because like I said she has no difficulty messaging anyone else with an iPhone. (Same with FaceTime which i figured wouldnt work because they work the same way..I think?) I've tried everything and somehow it still doesnt work?

My iMessage has stopped working on my iPhone 5s, but only with ONE person. I have reset it multiple times, i reset the network, and I reset all the setting on the phone. I'm quite confused and need to know what's going on.   Â

When I send a picture through iMessage, sometimes it takes up to 3-4 minutes to send. Sometimes when I text using MMS/iMessage, it takes a minute or so for the sending bar to make the swoosh noise. Kind of weird it takes that long to send a message, and it's not all the time. Is this normal? Any help would be great.

I basically have two Apple ids and the reason I have two is that one is very old, dating back to 2003 and this one was used with my .Mac account and currently used with iCloud. My second id is my linkied to my iTunes account. They were two independent accounts until iMessage came along and when I initially used my iCloud account for this service and then my iTunes account.
Now, I have iMessage on my iPhone that seems to run through an infinate loop of turn on iMessage, waiting for activation, "An error occurred", "Enter Apple ID", sign in, next, wait, wait, wait, wait and then back to "Enter Apple ID" and this happens when using either id.
I might also add that I cannot seem to download anything from iTunes.

I get the blue send button for all of my other iOS users but the button remains green for her messages. Hi everyone. Hoping for some help with a bizarre issue. I switched from an iphone 3gs to an android a few months ago, but when some (not all) friends w/ iphone's text me, it tries to send it as an imessage from their phones. I don't receive the texts for hours at a time. Is there something I can do to prevent this? Or is on their end? This has even happened with people who I have exchanged numbers with well after I made the switch from iphone to android which I find particularly weird.

It all seemed to work fine except for when I send an SMS to one of my friends it automatically links another friend into the thread. So the message thread will say "Name1 Surname1;Name2 Surname2" but I have only sent the message to one person. What is going on here, I have deleted both contacts and re-entered them manually but it is still doing it.

The problem is, occassionaly, the iPhone will give up as sending as an iMessage and then send as a text. As a result, I am being charged for sending an international message, when I would rather just write an email or skype (if iMessage wasnt going to do its job). I made a birthday movie in iMovie, for a friend - but I cant send it to her!I dont want to send it as email, FB, Twitter, I want to send it as a iMessage. On my Nokia it was sooo easy to transfer files, make folders for work files, send any file the way I want to and so on.I have used Mac since the late 80s, but I still cant find out how to send it!(My apple heart bleeds when I have to say, iPhone is not working well as a phone, or a help at work like the Nokia did, it is just a fun, fun, toy, as long as I dont want to make a movie on my MacBook Pro and send it on my iPhone...).
