How to recover data lost during software update. iPhone asked for software update. I agreed without a recent backup to iTunes or iCloud. After finishing update requested iTunes. I had to use restore in old back up and I lost my recent data. How can I retrieve them?
I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?
I am presenly going round in circles, not a clue what to look for! I can see my watsapp chat and pictures are stored in icloud, but do not know how to restore them back to my phone as all it keeps doing is the last small amout of backup - not all my history . I have tried deleting watsapp and re-installed, but again it only goes to the same point?? i would like it all back on my phone and not in icloud - what do i do??
I upgraded my iPhone to the newest version (5.1.1) I believe. iTunes backed my Phone up and once everything was completed, I restored it but all my stuff got deleted such as Photo's, Apps, Text Messages. Contacts came back after I logged in to my account.
My phone was on 2.1 and I wanted to update it to 2.3, so i connected it to my computer and followed every step including the back-up and restore, the site recomended that I download the new back up and restore app, so I did.
I downloaded the BB desktop software because I needed to update the BB, so I connected the Blackberry Bold to the computer. And somewhere it decided to clean my phone completely. I was not asked to back up. I have asked some friends and they said that usually its always asking to backup before. I'm very disappointed by the last happenings at RIM. Is there anyway I can recover the lost data. As we can do with computers can we do the same with BB phone? I also have searched on my laptop some "ipd" files and found some strange MFL files but I cannot read them.
Is there a way to recover data lost from my Calendar schedule if I had not made any sort of backup? Everything disappeared when I disconnected the syncronization before it ended.
Yesterday all of my calendar data disappeared. How do I recover it? I do not sync the phone with anything. I did not clear cache. I did not clear data. The calendar is the one that came with the phone, and is version 7.
Im in Thailand and I was having trouble with my message settings at the "recieve at" had my number and ERROR next to it, so I was told to go to the hotel computer, download itunes, sign into my apple ID then restore and backup to reset the phone, however when I did this, it erased everything on my phone and replaced it with someone call "panu" and it was in german, so I gather this was probably the peron before me using this computer, however it was signed into my apple ID so why did it do that and how do I get it back? also my icloud wasnt turned on and theres no data saved there? Ive lost everything, contacts, pictures

I'm an IT technician, and have my own small business doing technical consulting. One of my customers called me tonight saying she found an iphone in her front yard next to the sidewalk yesterday. She and her husband have iphones, and they have had the thing plugged in for a day on their charge cables, and haven't gotten any calls on it, and want to know if I can find out who it belongs to. The phone is locked, and I've talked to AT&T and they won't help me at all, and they won't take the phone and try and get it in touch with its owner from the card or anything.
Any help here? I know how to jailbreak etc, but I don't want to do a restore because I'm afraid it will lose the owners name for good then. I have a couple of iphones, and the darn things are anything but cheap, and I'm sure someone somewhere will want it back. Can I take the sim card out of it and get any owner information on it by plugging it into my jailbroken iphone or anything?
My husband lost his iPhone yesterday. It's still on and rings, however it's no longer in his office, and assumed stolen. Unfortunately, he did not activate "Find my phone" or any other apps of the sort.
I was wondering, since his phone is still logged in to Facebook and Skype, can it be located somehow through them?
Since 4 days ago, suddenly I've missed almost all my notes, most of them, very important to me, maybe it happened after an Office for Mac actualization, particularly, an Outlook actualization.
I switched my imessages off and on yesterday. While 'waiting for activation' people were still able to imessage me, though I never received these messages after successful re-activation. Is there any way to recover these messages?
I recorded a memo today that did not save. I pressed paused and saw a 48 minute recording. I closed out of the app and then the recording was not saved when I looked again. Is there any way to recover the voice memo?? I have an iPhone4S
