Sep 8, 2014I am trying to change my apple id on my iPhone 5. The issue is that I have forgotten my password and when I use the iForgot screen the system does not recognize my date of birth. I have requested an email three times but never received anything. I am unable to go through manage my ID and change back to the old email account as this email account is now my rescue account.I have an iTunes account that I can access through my pc with no issues.

May 30, 2012Why is Apple requiring my date of birth in order to download free apps to my iPhone?Apparently this is a recent change in their policy.Who came up with this stupid idea?Obviously Apple just wants to uee my DOB for marketing purposes (or even worse to sell it to other companies).If I would have known that Apple would require my personal information I would have gotten an Android phone instead.

Mar 30, 2012I have had a new boxed iphone4 for over a year and I now want to use it for one of my family. However when it is plugged into a charger nothing appears to happen. I appreciate it might need a small amount of charge before kicking into life but it has been connected to the charger for 1.5 hours now?
Could the battery be so depleted that it is useless now, despite it being a brand new unit?

Apr 20, 2012I changed my contract from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4 in may 2011. Since then my USB does not work properly and the earphones, well one ear works and the other doesn't. I then went online to check if I could get a replacement for both which I am still not sure that accessories are covered under tha warranty. Then I put my serial number and it said that my phone was out of coverage which doesn't make sense as I got the phone in may 2011 and it's only April 2012.Not a year yet.

Nokia Lumia :: Live Account Birth Date Change - Can't Download Application?
Nov 27, 2012basically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.

Aug 9, 2010My wife and I are moving to Dublin in a little less than a month so that my wife can earn a Masters from Trinity College. We will live there for 12 to 13 months.We've been AT&T users for five years and upgraded to iPhones last summer. As you might expect, we've become pretty attached to our phones and would like to use the Wi-Fi feature overseas (as well as Skype for international calls, of course). However, we do not want to stay with AT&T the next 12 months (prolonged international AT&T usage = bad idea), and therefore plan on getting some cheap phones in Dublin from a local provider so that my wife and I can communicate when we're apart.
This is where you come in. What can we do to cut ties with AT&T but continue Wi-Fi usage of our iPhones? I did some research this morning and read several accounts of individuals canceling AT&T service, removing the SIM card and using their iPhone like an iTouch without issue. However, other accounts mentioned that AT&T can disconnect Wi-Fi when customers cancel service--not sure how that's possible, but there you have it.On another note, do you know of a way to suspend AT&T service for one year so that we don't need to pay monthly bills but also don't need to pay the account cancellation fee? Probably a long shot, but it would be the most convenient option.I thought I would ask around here before making the call to AT&T and showing some CSR all of my cards. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Mar 14, 2012Can anyone tell me what is covered under the Apple 1 year warranty/ repairs and service coverage? I have coverage until Nov this year. (I do not have my purchase docs with me to look at.) I have cracked my screen completely and wandered how much it would cost for Apple to fix it. I do have insurance with my Orange contract the excess is £50 but as I only recently purchased the insurance it will take a week to process, alternatively a local company replaces the glass and screen for £45.

I tried to reset it to 2012 but settings now keep going back to December 31, 2555. Has anyone else seen this? The phone OS has been maintained current to iOS5.

May 5, 2012my daughter and I have just got our new iPhones but I can´t create and Apple ID för her so she can´t use the ICloud service. So I tried using the one I created for myself resulting in that all my contacts apeared in her phone. What should we do?
Apple how about letting parents confirm the Apple ID for their kid but it should be created with the kids name and birthday how difficult can it be? am I the first mum who bought and Iphone for my kid?
And by the way how do we get access to all the old contacts stored on the SIM card from our preIPhone time? I thought that everything just work with Apple but I am beginning to think that I should have choosen and Android... I mean changing brand of phone doesn´t exactly mean that you want to cut contact with all your old friends..

RIM :: Resign A Three Year With A 2012?
Jan 18, 2012I've had four Blackberry including my current 9780 which I'm pre happy about. Only complaint is even with minimal apps I still get the clock quite a few times during the day and its just slow even after wiping and restoring data. Don't get me wrong I love my blackberry keyboard, and the messages folder has nothing like it.
I want others opinion though. What would make you want to sign a 3 year contract with a Blackberry of today. Either current, or upcoming.
BB Bold :: 9000 Not Switching On After Using It For A Year
Dec 16, 2011I finally decided to use my Bold 9000 back again (fyi the battery was in the phone the entire time for the duration that I didn't use it) but now, ever since I've been charging it, the red thing lights up but soon disappears when I connect it to my wall charger. I've made sure I removed the SIM and Memory Card but still nothing appears and it's been hours now but the Bold just won't switch on.

Mar 20, 2012I bought my Droid X in 2010 shortly after they were released. At that time I bought an extended battery direct from Verizon which has been in the phone constantly since then. It lasts several days which is great,Recently though I have plugged it in to the standard charger only to have the phone shut off (GOOGLE!). Then, after turning it on, it reports that the battery is not an approved Motorola battery and can not be charged.I'll reboot it several times only to have it continue to fail to work.
I tried substituting the standard battery for a few minutes which works fine, shutting down, reinstalling the extended battery which THEN works and charges normally without the phone failing to recognize it and shutting off or not charging.
What's going on here? Is the battery defective or is the phone defective? Difficult to tell. Getting close to an upgrade period for me so maybe it doesn't matter but it's definitely annoying.

Apr 10, 2012My iPhone 4 was stolen in a bar in Boston last weekend, together with my jacket. I had Find My iPhone installed on it, but the phone has not come online since I lost it. I am just visiting the US; I bought the phone unlocked in Belgium and it had a UK simcard in it at the time of theft. Is there anything I can do to stop the thief from using it with his sim card? I have done some research and have found that I could ask my provider to blacklist the IMEI number. But what's the point of doing that in Belgium as it got stolen in the US and is probably still here... Can't I report my serial number to Apple and will that then stop the thief from using the phone when he syncs with iTunes?
