IPhone :: Everytime Try To Facetime The Screen Is Black
Jul 5, 2012
My boyfreind and i are having problems with our facetime the screen is black on both ends can hear each other but the only thing we see is ourselves in the corner
I am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads. What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus? 2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
I have a iphone 3g and I am having big problems accessing my apps. Everytime I go to use a app e.g facebook or ebay the scrieen goes black and then goes back to the home screen. It also seems to be taking forever to got to make a phone call. What can I do as one of the main reasons for getting this phone was using the apps
I accepted the update for ios and now my phone is going from black screen to apple screen. I have tried turning it off and holding both buttons NOTHING! I also hooked it up to my computer and went onto iTunes and it does not show as a devise?
I got an iPhone 5s what the screen is totally black, but the touch screen and other functions are still working, has been replaced the LCD but it keep doing the same way.
Is there an icon for face time on the iphone4s home screen? I remember I saw it before but not any more. I still have the FaceTime app,but would like to find the icon on the home screen again.
I bought a new iPhone 4S and it seems that it misses the FaceTime functionality. I googled alot and all the solutions didn't fit my scenario, it doesn't appear anywhere, not in settings, not in Settings -> Phone, not in Settings -> General -> Restrictions and not in the contacts.I even checked in which country this phone should be in to make sure it's not for countries that doens't allow FaceTime at all and I saw that it was intended to be used in North America so this is not the case.
When I actually use my iPhone 5S for phone calls, my cheek will hit the facetime button and then the call will disconnect. I don't use face time and do not want it on my call screen. Is there a way to get rid of it?Â
I have my FaceTime set up on both devices, wifi on full bars, but it says FaceTime failed when I call. I also call from both devices at once and it makes no difference. I know the information is correct.
When i'm on a call, with the phone to my ear, the screen wakes up and FaceTime/Speakerphone suddenly turn on. Anyone else getting this? And I had the 3G before so i'm not 'holding it wrong' or anything..
I have iphone 4s ios 7.1.2 facetime is not showing on the main home screen nor in settings and also no any option of facetime in restrictions I checked the list my network is supports facetime I am in malaysia I tried everything reset my phone switched of camera from restictions then I comppletly reset my iphone and all the steps i followed which are mentioned for troubleshooting....
Phone is charged, is working, will connect to itunes but screen is black. Restored but screen is still black. No slider. No apple logo. Will vibrate so I know it's on.
I dropped my iphone about 3 hours ago and it landed screen-down, but it was not shattered. everything on the phone works however i can't see anything - the screen is COMPLETELY black. i tried resetting it by pressing the home and power buttons at the same time, and it has not worked. since the phone is entirely functional except for the screen, i can hear when i get a text, etc. when i tried restarting it, I knew it worked because it made a sound when it came back on and was charging, therefore the only issue is the screen.
I just traded in my 3G for a 4s a week ago.Yesterday my 4s screen went black, could do nothing!Booked an appt. with Apple and they were able to get my phone working again.Today, my screen is black again!that's twice in 1 week! What can I do to prevent this from happening?
I kept my iphone 3gs at charging yesterday,n it completed 60% of its charging,in the meantime I got message from someone & to check that out as soon as i raised my phone ,its dock flew out from the switchboard's socket and my screen went black..i tried switching it on several times along with inserting in/out my sim evry now and then but nothing worked.
My iphone's screen goes black and it behaves like that it is switched off.No switches work and the power button also does not respond. The ringtone do not also respond. The only way to switch on the phone is to press home button and power button together.
Yesterday I took my iPhone 4S off the charger and for some reason the screen was black. Power off and on, hard reset and plugging into PC and wall charger does not work. It is on, because if turned on silent it vibrates and when plugged in it makes a noise. Otherwise unresponsive. Also, I just left it for a bit yesterday in the hope that it might fix itself and when I came to check on it, it was really hot. It wasn't plugged into the charger or anything...
