When I try to run the software update from my iPhone 4 it gives me an error: "Software Update Failed / An error occurred downloading iOS 5.1"
If I try to upgrade from iTunes the "Check Update" bottom is grayed and I cannot check for the new upgrade.

I fecently upgraded the firmware (as suggested by Nokia) on my E72. The firmware version is 031.023. Everything seems to be working fine except for the message alert tone. Ever since the upgrade was made, there's no more alert whenever a new SMS comes in. It's causing too much hassle since I have to look at my phone every so often.
I've tried reinstalling the firmware but the same problem occurs.I've tried changing the alert tones but to no avail.All other alerts except for the SMS works.
My iPhone 4s no longer detects bluetooth accessories. I've tried resetting my iPhone completely and still no success. I'm sure that the iPhone is the problem as my iPad and wife's itouch detects the bluetooth accessories just fine. I'm out of options. I'm currently running the latest iOS (8.1.1)

I can do texts based on my contacts, and phone recognises numbers from incoming calls.But for some reason the contacts hotkey wont being up my contacts, which is making calling people a little difficult. I have tried setting the key to be something different and changing back to no avail.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my Verizon 8330 to Nathanix 5.0 Hybrid. I like the features of this OS, but now the Application Memory is almost full (I keep getting the screen that prompts me to select apps to delete) and it is running slow.
When I unlock it, it takes quite a few seconds to "boot up"; the hourglass is turning, but the keys and trackball don't do anything. This is really annoying if I recieve a SMS or email and want to check it really quick.
Also, it has been freezing up a few times a day, and I end up doing battery pulls.
I really like some of the features so I'm not sold on going back to my old OS, but this is annoying.
I developed a problem with my E51. Active standby crashes couple minutes after staring up and becomes unresponsive. When you turn on the phone, active standby looks fine and everything displays normally (e.g. 1 Unread email, meeting at noon, etc.). However, right after that it gets stuck and doesn't update anymore. That means that if you read the email, the notification remains. Or if you get 3 more new emails, it will still display 1 unread email. Same thing with calendar even after the meeting passes, it's not cleared. Not even the next day, and new meetings will not be displayed on active standby until the phone is reboot.
I just realized that even the administrative shortcuts don't work (i.e. *#06# for IMEI or *#0000# for firmware). The phone beeps, but nothing is displayed.Does anyone have a solution to this, yet another, nokia software issue? Cause the latest advice I got when looking for solutions to my constant nokia problems (email crashing, random reboots, etc.) was Go and get a Blackberry I'd rather not go that way, unless I have no other choice.
I have an S2, running latest firmware and cannot add my IMAP account to it. I have my gmail, hotmail and exchange accounts setup fine. But when I try to do the IMAP account, I enter the login details, server etc., and when it tries to test the incoming side of things it force quits. I've rebooted etc.

Now I tried to update my phone software, and according to the updater my phone is running the latest software. This isn't true though, and I think updating to 4.5 will help remove some of the problems with my Blackberry. How can I update my 8310?

My phone was the unlocked version from Australia Apple store. After I have upgraded to ios 5.1, it seems that my phone became carrier locked.
It has no problem to use my usual 3 sim card. However, when I tried to use the sim cards of Telstra and and Virgin, it just shows "SOS Only".
When I tried these three sim cards in my iPad2, they are all working fine.

So I didn't realize that in order to upgrade to 4.0 you actually had to have your phone registered with Apple and now I'm stuck with a "We're unable to complete your activation." View 24 Replies View RelatedMy phone was activated and unlocked. I had to run it on blackra1n everytime I connected my phone to the computer. But it was fine. I was able to use an unregistered sim without a data plan. And then I accidentally upgraded.
Ive tried restoring it with various custom IPSW files from different programs (Ive even tried 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, and IOS 4) but my phone refuses to restore or restore unlocked. It still keeps asking for a valid sim. Sometimes, iTunes tells me that the device isnt eligible for the requested build. I cant use redsn0w because no matter what IPSW I try to use with it, it cannot be recognized. Sn0wbreeze did not work either. Ive tried on both a MAC and a PC.According to forecast, my phone can be jailbroken but not unlocked. Bootloader is 6.4.
I decided to upgrade my 3G which was running on 3.0 an Tmobile.I plugged it in - started itunes - hit upgrade. It took 30-40 mins and restarted with 4.0 but below (attachment) is what I see when I connect it. I am looking at this link URL... to jailbrake it - but i did not do what it says as step 2. I just upgraded directly from Itunes - then once it was done I saw iClarified - is it too late? I'm downloading ipsw right now and hoping that I can still jailbrake and unlock?
