My email provider is hotmail and when i try to send an email it says that my username or password is incorrect, but ive checked numerous amount of times and everything is correct. I recieve emails through the account fine but i just cant send them.

I have used Windows Live Mail on my iPhone4 (Verizon) for some years and never had problems until yesterday when we changed web hosting to GoDaddy. Now I can no longer send emails from my iPhone. The messages just sit in the Outbox.

i took the phone to apple store and all they did was to delete the email account and added it again but the problem is still there, so they said that i should contact my email provider (hotmail) which is microsoft. i am able to send emails using my MAC and other computers so contacting hotmail will not sort this issue.Â

My Fiance and I upgraded our phones yesterday. We both now have the iPhone 5s. Everything from the iCloud transferred over great. My phone is working perfectly. My fiancé's phone however is having problems with his yahoo email account. All of his sent email is showing up, and he can send them out; however, nothing is showing up in his inbox and he cannot receive any emails on his phone. We compared mine to his and every thing is set up the same, however we cannot figure out why he is not receiving emails.

If I compose an email outside of the Mail app (for example, sending a link to a web page from Safari) the email never sends unless I manually go into the Mail app's outbox folder, open the message again and then hit send from there.Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this really the way sending mail supposed to work now?(I should note that I'm using Google's Gmail Exchange Sync system here, but I don't think that's the problem. I can send email from within the Mail app very quickly as long as I wait for the sending sound to play before exiting or switching apps.)UPDATE: same issue using an IMAP account/and sending via SMTP.
