Apr 13, 2012My daughter has an iBook G4 - Power PC G4 with OS 10.4.11. She is unable to sync her iPhone, version 4.1, to her iBook. It says that the iPhone requires iTunes 9.2 and the iBook only has iTunes 9.0 and can't be updated. Short of buying a new MacBook is there a way to get the iPhone to sync with her iBook?

May 1, 2012I have been successful moving PDF onto the iBook app on my iPhone 3GS but the same procedure does not with with a Doc. There is a "DOC" category listed within the iBook app itself so I should be able to do it. Dragging the file from "finder" into the ebook section within iTunes is how I get PDFs into iBook. Is there a different way for Docs? I am on a Macbook Pro using Lion 10.7.3. IPhone is a 3GS.

I have gone through all of the trouble shooting suggestions already - rebooting phone and computer, checking USB cable, trying various USB ports, etc. What can I do to get iTunes to recogize that a device has been connected to the computer. It also does not recognize when my husband connects his phone either. It will charge the phones and nothing more.

Apr 27, 2010My iPhone 3G is being recognised perfectly happily by iTunes, but absolutely nothing else. It doesn't appear in Finder and doesn't open iPhoto when I plug it in, so I can back up my photos.
I've tried restarting both the Mac (which is running Snow Leopard) and the iPhone. I've tried several cables. The result is always the same. iTunes spots the iPhone (it did use to automatically open iTunes, but I stopped that) and nothing else. No icon on the desktop, no appearance in Finder and won't show in any searches I do.
How can I fix this, and start backing up photos again?
