Mar 19, 2012I own an iPhone 3Gs, It was a birthday gift from my aunt. She sent it over from Canada to the Philippines.At the first time i used it, my local sim card cannot be read by the iPhone, so my aunt said that it has to be unlocked.So i had it unlocked. I recently updated my iOS 5 to iOS 5.1 because of the interesting updates it has and so as my friends told me to upgrade.Now I have a problem that when I turn the phone on, I cannot activate my phone. I think that it would be impossible to be unlocked because it wont activate by itself. I do not want to waste the iPhone, it is the first iPhone that I have. I suppose that I am not the only one having this problem. I stored a lot of important stuffs in my 3Gs that helps me in my studies.

So how would I show the Apple Geniuses my wifi problem without having my iphone jailbroken/unlocked. Since I am not on att, I cannot restore and activate the phone without jailbreaking it. How would I show them my wifi problem if all I have is the "Connect to iTunes to activate" screen? Or should I just take it in "hacktivated"/jailbroken?

Mar 18, 2012Ever since I have updated to iOS5, I have been having problem with updating my song info (artist, album. song title however seems to work). I manage my songs manually and they are shown to be updated in itunes. However this is not the case when I browse my songs in the music app in my iphone.
I have tried various ways such as switching off 'group by album artist' in setting, updating ID3 tags, but these did not work. The only way to get the songs showing up normally is if I add my songs to the itunes library, change the info there and drag them back to my iphone in the Device section. Is there any way I can update my song infos in the device section and have them correctly showing in my iphone like the old days?

Jun 9, 2012I attempted to update my iphone 3 using itunes. I'm not certain but I believe I did a backup on my pc first. I am now unable to use the phone at all - the slide bar won't move and I have a camera icon next to the slide bar which is not responsive. I have tried to sync and even left the phone connected to the pc overnight. The phone is going flat within a couple of hours and won't stop beeping every few seconds and seems to be syncing all the time, even when disconnected from pc. I am fearful that I have lost all my contacts - nothing is working?

But how do I ascertain what hasn't been traferred and where, and how would I do that transfer?
