IPhone :: Automatically Sync Camera Photos Using ITunes?

Hey, gang! I'm confused about the "Sync Photos from iPhoto" option in iTunes. I clearly do not want to transfer *all* photos (years of accumulated digicam pictures), yet when I choose "Selected albums", iTunes gives me the following warning: "This iPhone contains photos synced with another photo library or folder. Photos and albums on "Name of iPhone" will be replaced with photos and albums from this computer. Photos taken with "Name of iPhone" will not be affected.
Well, this is bizarre--what other library or folder could my phone have been synched with? Plus, no matter what I was using, I certainly don't want to lose those photos on the iPhone!
Of course, what I really want to know is: "How do I use iTunes to automatically transfer the photos I've taken with the iPhone to my MacBook Pro?"
I know how to transfer photos using iPhoto, but that's laborious and I really want to transfer/back up my photos as part of my iTunes ritual.

My pictures taken on the phone used to automatically sync to my ipad when they were both in wifi range, for some reason this now doesn't happen and I don't know where to access the correct setting, I have looked!!

icant sync my photos from itunes to iphone ..it shows copying 1 out of something but afterwards it stops and no photos in iphone ..i formatted several times ..and from my utunes i have sync my brothers iphone it synced prefectly only its problm of my iphone .......i have also deleted the ipod photo cache but still the same

I just got a new iPhone today and I want to sync my photos on my computer to it. When I do, the photos go into the "iPod Photo Cache" AND the "Photo Library." Is there anyway to just get them in the "Photo Library"?

I have an iPhone 3gs 32gb. Lately when I sync the phone it will delete some photos and then pop up a message saying some photos and albums couldn't be synced because there is not enough room on the phone. The problem is that I'm not adding anything to my phone when it does this. Yesterday my phone says it had 1.6gb available. I hooked it up and synced it, not adding anything, and it deleted a full album off the phoe claiming it had no space. Anyone have any ideas on a fix for this? I'm running 3.1.2

Is this a normal thing on an iPhone 4S that I cannot find the bin icon to delete photos or photo folder that was synched from my laptop? I have to delete the folder from iTunes and then synch the phone again. I keep looking for the bin icon on each photo or on the folder on the phone but I cannot find it. I went to edit and couldn't find any delete function.

I just started syncing my iPhone 4s to iTunes with no wire over my wireless home network, and it is very nice. Now how do I get my new photos from my camera roll to iPhoto wirelessly so that they too can be synced wirelessly? I prefer not to use iCloud.

I am trying to import and remove 600+ photos from my iPhone. This worked with many photos but the 600+ remaining will not import. iTunes says that there are no new photos to import which is strange because they are on my phone under Camera Roll. These seem to be photos taken prior to adding iCloud backup.

iTunes recently stoped recognizing my iPhone 3G as a phone -- thinks it's a camera. It won't sync anymore with Outlook, even though it goes through the screens. Nothing changes in Contacts or Calendar. iTunes lists the phone as an iPhone, but when I plug the phone into the computer using USB, the computer says it's a camera and asks what software it should use. iTunes isn't a choice. I ran the diagnostics program in iTunes, and it reports no sync problems. This all started right after installing the latest iTunes update. Is anyody having the same or similar problem? How do you solve it?

How can I change the name of the taken photos from camera, cuz every time I upload my photos to a cloud storage and empty my phone, the name of the photos retune automatically to DCS_0022. So when I upload the photos again to the cloud I have to rename them because there are other photos with the same name.

Just FYI...I have Hp pavillion g7 notebook PC running windows 8.1 64 bit. I have an interesting case. When I plug my phone into my computer it quickly and automatically pulls up the Photos app that came with the computer. It NEVER did this before, until one day when I transfered some pics from my phone to the computer. Ever since that day this has been happening.Â
In addition, my computer and phone wont sync up so I cant tranfer any music. The computer recognizes the cable (It makes the sound and charges the phone as well as pulling up the photos app) and the phone knows it's plugged in because under settings->iTunes Wifi sync, it says "Sync will resume when 'Computer'sName' is available" However, in iTunes, the sync button is greyed out.

I downloaded the itunes update and the iphoto updates today, June 14, 2012. Now when i plug in my iphone to my iMac, iphoto opens. When I close it, itunes does not automatically open (i have that option checked) and the iphone does not show in itunes? What's up with that?

The camera worked fine for several pictures. The camera opens but any time I want to take the picture it shuts down. Sufficient memory available to save the pictures.

For the past few days, in the middle of a phone call, iTunes will begin playing and drop my call. I will then have to stop the music and begin my call again. The iTunes app was not open any of the times this occurred. Â
This also happened to me yesterday during a GoToMeeting, while on VOIP, on my brand new MacBook Pro.Â
