Something I noticed... When I switch from photos to videos on the back camera, it automatically zooms in a little bit with videos. Anybody else getting this problem? It wasn't like this on my 3GS.
View 15 RepliesIt seems to have occurred recently and am wondering if it is related to the recent Nokia camera/beta camera updates. I'm running 8.1 DP but I don't believe I was having this issue before and I don't believe I have had any recent big falls or jolts to the phone that might cause mechanical problems and I believe the zoom works fine in still pictures.

Digital zoom is so stupid - I can duplicate the effect of digital zoom by cropping the photo with photoshop afterward. Not only is digital zoom in effect the same a cropping a photo, but because the photo was cropped from the get-go, you have LOST information that you might have wanted. What if you "zoomed in" and took the picture, but mistakenly chopped off the top of your subject's head? That portion of the head was actually being perceived by the camera's sensor, so you could have had a complete photo, but it is now lost forever thanks to digital zoom.

So I'm running Camera Zoom FX on a stock, debloated, rooted rom. It takes pics fine. However when I try to switch to video mode, it says "video switch not supported on this device"
Is there a fix for this? If not, whats another good camera app tha does actually support video.
I recently purchase Xperia X10 mini, the problem is when I shoot photos from the camera, I am unable to find zoom option. How can I find that option or is there to install any other software.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm uploading all my pics and videos to my computer today and I set it to delete them off my phone after they are uploaded to the computer. I finish that.Then I unplug my my phone and go to camera roll. There is a video over an hour long that was filmed from my phones camera! You can see me picking up the phone, using it, setting it down, putting it in my pocket or on my leg, talking to others in the room etc. I absolutely was not in the camera app the whole time - I was doing other things. The phone has never been jailbroken or altered in any way.

Hey, gang! I'm confused about the "Sync Photos from iPhoto" option in iTunes. I clearly do not want to transfer *all* photos (years of accumulated digicam pictures), yet when I choose "Selected albums", iTunes gives me the following warning: "This iPhone contains photos synced with another photo library or folder. Photos and albums on "Name of iPhone" will be replaced with photos and albums from this computer. Photos taken with "Name of iPhone" will not be affected.
Well, this is bizarre--what other library or folder could my phone have been synched with? Plus, no matter what I was using, I certainly don't want to lose those photos on the iPhone!
Of course, what I really want to know is: "How do I use iTunes to automatically transfer the photos I've taken with the iPhone to my MacBook Pro?"
I know how to transfer photos using iPhoto, but that's laborious and I really want to transfer/back up my photos as part of my iTunes ritual.

Just FYI...I have Hp pavillion g7 notebook PC running windows 8.1 64 bit. I have an interesting case. When I plug my phone into my computer it quickly and automatically pulls up the Photos app that came with the computer. It NEVER did this before, until one day when I transfered some pics from my phone to the computer. Ever since that day this has been happening.Â
In addition, my computer and phone wont sync up so I cant tranfer any music. The computer recognizes the cable (It makes the sound and charges the phone as well as pulling up the photos app) and the phone knows it's plugged in because under settings->iTunes Wifi sync, it says "Sync will resume when 'Computer'sName' is available" However, in iTunes, the sync button is greyed out.
