May 31, 2012
iphone 4 appears to be connect to the wifi, but is not accessing web pages (i.e., Internet, imessage, facetime.we reset the network, turned phone on and off,
tried to turn my mobile netwok off and on and a hard reboot, but I still can't access facebook pages via an email link. I get a message about a reply say to a comment and when I click through I just get the above error message. I have a blackberry curve 8520. I use virgin/orange. Not sure if you need this v5.0.0.681 Facebook is version 2.0.0.58
I was wondering if it is possible to access sms messages on my mini x10 pro on my pc when connected via usb. I want to be able to backup my sms messages onto my pc before deleting them on the phone.
I have a Blackbery curve 8520. Up till recently it worked perfectly however it has since failed to load websites even when connected to the internet. My BBM works perfectly however. I have re-registered, rebooted and made sure the Data services are on. I have contacted my network provider and they have said that it is a blackberry issue rathr thean a network one.
I have a problem with my Motorola Xoom. It is connected to the Wifi and the strength is great. Other devices around it are happily browsing the internet. However my Xoom will no longer load web pages or sync my email. This is a new thing. It worked yesterday. I have tried the following:Had it forget the connection and then reconnect to itReboot the xoomping www.google.comturn it off, turn it on, etc until I do not know what to do anymore. Are
I got the HD a couple of days ago and upgraded the software the first evening I got the phone.. Then the WIFI just stopped working ( said I was connected but yet no pages would load which was very frustrating..)..Took phone back to shop and got a new one now , with 2.2 on it which works fine.. I know I am likely to get the warning for the udgrade tonight but I will probably not install it
My iPhone 4s won't connect to my car head unit it comes up connected and then half way thought it comes up as not connected and when I try to connect again it come up as device is out of range even when the phone is right next to it?
My iPhone is on the Bell network, along with 3 other iPhones in my household. We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something. When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.
Having some issues accessing or even finding the photos stored on my device. iPhone 4S iOS 5.1 Image Capture only sees the "Camera Roll" (500 or so pictures in there) but I can't access anything else. Here's how my Photo Library is structured on my device:
Camera Roll (518)
Photo Library (2,385)
Old Camera (741)
Old Library (1,644)
I can't access the last three using Image Capture, iPhoto - can't even find any of these photos via 3rd party file browser utilites. I've also mounted the iPhone to disk but can't find photos anywhere. (I've tried showing/hiding hidden files in OS X - still nothing)
Info: MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 256SSD, 4GB, Core i7
I previously had an iPhone 5 (32GB). It took a swim and I now have a 4s (16gb). All of the information from the old phone is backed up on my iCloud. I would like to access some of it, not all of it. It takes up 3.4GB of my cloud, Is there anyway to tell/access it? I also have a newer ipad (32GB). I am getting a notice on my new phone that it can't back up because there is not enough space.
I recently have been having problems with my iPhone 4 so i restored it. Before i restored it i backed it up with iClound. Now i don't know how to access the iCloud backup to put all my old stuff onto my iPhone. Can someone help me please??
I have installed more than 250 applications from iTunes Store but unable to see the application or cannot go to the applications which are beyond 11 apps pages. This is frustrating if it is found to be the limitations from Apple Side. I am using iPhoe 4 with iOS 5.1.
My iphone4 developed an email glitch today. When I try to open an email, delete an email, or just scroll down the list of emails, the app blinks off and returns to the home page. I tried turning the phone on and off, and also tried resetting without success.
I saw an app described that allows you to quickly switch pages on the iPhone, but I can't seem to find what it's called now that I'm wanting to download it. Anyone know what I'm looking for? I know kirikae can do something like that, but I thought there was an app solely dedicated for this purpose.
Having just upgraded to the iPhone 4 from a 3G, I'm so used to everything working so smoothly that I'm starting to expect I can use it more like a computer. So its slightly disappointing to see that there's an 8-pages-open-at-a-time limit in Safari. For example, I like to click a bunch of thread links on macrumors just to read them one by one, but now you can only have eight at a time before the first ones you clicked start disappearing. Don't get me wrong, on the 3G after 3 pages were open, it would either start to get very slow or just crash, so this is a huge improvement, I just thought that with the 512mb of RAM it would be a bit more capable now. Was this the same situation as it was before? (mainly on the 3GS I guess)
I would love to know if there is a way I can avoid mobile optimized web pages loading on my iphone instead of their full - blown counterparts. I use ebay a lot and the optimised site (together with the specific app) is frustratingly poor.
