My Facebook app AND Facebook in Safari try to load for a few seconds and then close. Here's the weird part, though. It's only when I go to my profile page. If I'm in the news feed or someone else's page, it doesn't do it. I've deleted the app and installed it again and still the same thing happens.

I was cleaning out my contacts list, and for some reason all of my contacts got wiped. After I put them all back in, their profile pictures and information from Facebook was not being pulled down. All authorizations and permissions are set for this to be ok. Why this isn't working?Â

Last few weeks, I upgraded my phone to Android 2.3.4 build 4.0.2 A.0.42 via Software Update service (Location: Thailand, if applicable) and installed the recent Facebook v 1.8.0 from the market. Now, I'm having a problem with Facebook application. It always shows "force close" for this application and it will automatically re-open the application. I find this error most of the time when update status, check-in places and upload photos. I can't capture screen because "Phone Options" dialog appears behind the 'force close' dialog.I try to remove facebook account from TimeScape and use Facebook for Android from the market instead but still not help. how to fix this.

When I choose "View Profile", it opens a mobile Facebook webpage in a browser window and opens my news feed, but not his/her profile.
I have tried with both the stock browser and Dolfin HD as my default browser. I've added my FB account to google and also have the (mostly useless, IMHO) Facebook app. I've deleted and readded my Facebook Account as well. My contacts show their FB profile pic, and I can poke and write on his/her wall. Behavior is the same from within the social networking app.
Is my expectation that his/her profile open when I click "view profile" wrong?
I am bothered with the facebook app not following lollipop's open/close animations.
All apps close and open with the same animations, except facebook which just pops out of nowhere. I also got this issue with my gpe m8. Is there any reason for this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was trying to link my mom's contact to her facebook profile, and so I added her full name-- Kathy Jones. However, my phone auto synced her to another facebook contact... Katie Jones. On her contact card, I added my mom's cell number and email address, neither of which is the same as Katie's. However, my phone autosynced it with Katie, adding in her phone number and email address to the contact card. AND, because it is a facebook contact, i'm told "facebook contact information is not editable on this device" It's not a dealbreaker, just annoying, as the wrong photo shows up when my mom calls, and I'm afraid that one day i'm going to accidentally select the wrong number/email address.Is there anyway to unlink these? I don't want to disable all facebook syncing, as i like being able to quickly access profiles of my other contacts, and have photos connected to them. I'm just looking for a way to manually tell my phone that these two people, despite having the same last name and similar first names are not, in fact, the same person.

I am running my E72 on the 031.023 software version. I downloaded the Facebook application from the Ovi Store. It installed correctly. When I run the application, it takes me to the screen where you have to type in your e-mail and password. After typing in my e-mail, when I activate the password field the application freezes for a split-second and then closes spontaneously, with no error message or anything else.I already tried reinstalling the latest software version and reinstalling the application, to no success. I also tried typing in the password before the e-mail, but the same thing happens.I do not want to use those other applications that manage your social networks, I want to be able to use the official facebook application offered by Nokia's official store on my phone which cost me a lot of money and should be able to do these things.
