Is there software that will allow for blocking specific callers and texting. I am looking for a proven result that can block specific incoming/unwanted meassages.

I have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at �1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages.It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got a text this morning from someone I only keep in my contact list so I will never accidentally answer if they call. I then went to contacts and added them to my reject list.
Later I added a coworker to the reject list and had them call and text me. The call did not ring and a notification appeared that a call from that number was rejected. It didn't even give the name even though the number was in my contact list.
When the coworker texted me it came through perfectly. Not blocked or rejected in any way.
On my old thunderbolt I could flat out block people. I wouldn't get any indication whatsoever if they tried to call or text me. Is there any way I can do something like this with my S5?

I want to turn off phone calls/texts but still be able to use 3G and/or GPS on my iPhone 4S."use airplane mode" or "put it on silent". That won't work. When I'm running I'm using Nike+ GPS or Runkeeper. These apps use the 3G and GPS connection so Airplane mode is not an option. Airplane mode stops my GPS and 3G connection from working.
Putting my phone on silent does not help. It interrupts the music and vibrates in my pocket. If I turn off vibrate then my doesn't vibrate but it still interrupts the music. The music will fade out and the phone will "silently" be ringing until it goes to voicemail and then the music fade back in. Plus, if I get a text message then the phone will fade out the music for just a second and then back again even if I have it on silent mode. I don't want that. Its a disruption I would rather not have. I want to recieve no communications while I'm running but still be able to use my phone's GPS/3G connection for Nike+ and/or Runkeeper.
I need an option that just turns off phone calls and text messages temporaily while I'm running without turning off GPS and 3G. I wish Apple would add an option in settings to turn off Text Messaging and incoming Phone Calls seperatley from everything else. This could useful since we use our phones for so much more than talking these days.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone doesn't send or receive any SMS or phone calls even with full service bars available. For out going texts, the "sending bar" never completely loads. For some reason, this only happens in my city. I was away in London for the weekend and it worked perfectly fine as soon as I left the vicinity of my city. When I got back to my home, it stopped working again. I don't know if this is a coincidence, or if it just doesn't work.

when I make a call it immediately says "call ended/closed" and when I enter *110# I get this message: Connections problems or invalid MMI-code.When I restart my phone, maybe repeting that process like 10 times then I can send/recieve calls/texts, but only for a brief moment.Before it wasn't as bad... View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 8330. The vibrate works well, but anytime I set the phone to normal or loud, it will not ring at all. I can hear the ringtones phone in the media section quite clearly but that's all. I have tried switching ringtones, I have checked all my settings, I have taken the battery out and put it back in, the phone is not on mute. I have even downloaded my own ringtone to the phone and that doesn't work either.

I upgraded the software and then I started to get a busy signal when trying to call out and cannot receive calls either. Same goes for text messages. When prompted that radio is off, i always turn it back on.. It is unlocked and still has Verizon as mobile network.

It could turn on again, but some settings were gone (VPN settings and Mobile Networks). I did the "Settings Reset", but it didn't work, nothing happened.

My Atrix was working just fine for the past month, and this morning all of a sudden I'm not getting ANY signal/reception. I can't make phone calls nor send texts. Sometimes the signal comes back but it's just for 2 or 3 minutes and then the signal is completely gone again. When I plug the SIM card into another phone it works just fine so that rules out AT&T's problem. Wi-fi works just fine. I factory reset the phone but the problem still exists. I am already out of the 30-day return/exchange policy, what can I do? Is this problem going to be fixed for the next update?

I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

For some reason my phone is all of a sudden sending auto texts out to people when I don't pick up the call.
I just noticed it started yesterday. On my phone settings I don't have auto reject as an option. I have the quick responses but that is just where to edit them.

I haqve just moved to Tenerife and got a movistar sim. I can receive calls and texts but cant send texts. I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". What do I do?
