IPhone :: The "other" Section In The Graph Is Taking Up 8.5 GB Of Data?
Mar 30, 2012
The "other" section in the graph is taking up 8.5 GB of data. there isnt much on the phone, just the usual, music, apps, and pictures. my music randomly deleted too. i also can't upgrade to iOS5.1
I am using Samsung S6 and encounter issues with the tracking of data usage. The Y axis (GB) and X axis (dates) and warning limits bars are showing but the mobile data usage graph is not showing despite using mobile data.
With ICS, under System Settings, we got this new nifty Data Usage graph where you can move sliders around to look at usage during different periods of time and set mobile data warning and mobile data limits and also see data used by individual apps. However, it has a disclaimer on it that says that this data usage graph is as measured by your phone and that your phone carrier's data usage measure may differ.
My data usage graph on the phone currently shows 643 MB for July 1 to July 17 whereas the VZW data usage widget and when looking at my account online, it currently shows 1097.05 MB (or 1.071 GB) for the same time period. How can those 2 numbers differ by that great of a margin?
I am having a hard time finding stuff to delete, because the System Data is taking up more and more of my storage. Is there any way I can reclaim most of it back? I transferred most, if not all, of the storage consuming apps to my SD card.
The Battery usage graph is way inaccurate. One Day is represented by couple of lines as compared to showing the full chart The start date is 20th March.
The elevation data/graph does not show on the portal. It seems that the Y axis is showing the elevation in KM. This is obviously not an appropriate scale...
Today i updates my galaxy s2 through Samsung Kies. Everything went well and it took about 10 minutes to complete. There is one small problem though, in settings ->battery usage its fully charged and saying i have 1m 50 s on battery?!! And when i open the graph it says i have 27 seconds on battery! Whats going on? How can i fix this? I hope this is not a true indication of my current battery level and will cut out at anytime.
I can't seem to find a definitive answer on Google.I noticed that the Other section on my iPhone is now taking up 1.3 GB of space and I'm just curious as to waht this is. I still have 10+ GB left so it's not a big deal, just curious as to what could be taking up so much space?
I downloaded a free Ringtone app from the app store and I cannot figure out how to get the app in the ringtone section of the setting so i can change the ringtone. i also put a song on the phone from iTunes to see if that would work and i just cant figure it out. I find it really dumb that Apple made it almost impossible to get a custom ring tone unless your purchase it.
In my project the tabs which are not under more section are properly responding to orientation but the tabs present under the more section are not responding. For example if I am having two tabs names tab1 and tab2 under more section and if I am putting break point at the "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" method of each tab. After that when if I am selecting tab1 from more section and tries to rotate it but the "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" of the tab2 gets called. The delagate method of the tab which I am selecting is not getting called.I am working on XCode Ver 4.3.2. Can someone please help me in solving this problem.
All of a sudden my AirPlay icon has disappeared from my Music app on the iPhone 4S. I've tried re-booting the iPhone, re-booting the router and the modem, re-booting the AppleTV, and I've done all the software updates. Still . No AirPlay icon And by the way, why isn't there any AirPlay section in the iPhone's Settings?

My Mum gave me her old iPhone 4S. I've never had a smart phone before so I am new to all this. I want to update the OS (my mum won't have updated ui it since buying it) but I can't see any software update section under settings/general. It just isn't there.Â
I can't even remember when it changed like this to be honest its been like this for so long. I have tried restoring the IPhone numerous times and have also deleted all of my text conversations and cleared all whatsapp conversations. I have a 64GB iPhone so space shouldn't really be a problem. I am desperate now as my iPhone is reaching capacity.
is this possible? even with downloaded Internet videos would be ideal. basically i have a nav system that plays dvds and video files off the iphone ipod part of it. i want to be able to transfer video that i shot from the camera roll and move it to the ipod.
None of my apps are working. Have deleted them - as advised on itunes website but how do I retrieve all my purchased apps when don't have a 'purchased' option to select in the app store as instructed?
the laptop my iphone is sync'd to has broken down. i tryed to sync to my new laptop but after downloading the new iphone software it said that there was an error and now on my iphone it says connect to itunes but does not show up in the device section. What do i do to make my phone connect to itunes?
I do not have an 'edit' button in the top right hand corner when looking at my contacts list therefore am unable to update numbers or delete contacts- I re-booted my phone but that didn't work!
So I went to set an alarm last night for the first time since having the iphone 5c, and for some reason it showed all of my music (including music I don't have on my ipod anymore) when I went to select a song. I was messing around and clicked a few songs I hadnt heard in a while (and don't have synced to my ipod.) Now those bands and songs are showing up in my music. I've also deleted most of these bands from my Itunes completely, so it doesn't work to just uncheck them or d and sync again, they're still there. I tried swiping to delete and was able to delete one song, but the delete button doesn't show up now. I've tried turning "show all music" on and I still can't delete manually, and I'm not sure where these songs are coming from since they're deleted from Itunes.
I recently tried to use custom tones on my i phone 3gs,i went through all the process of converting to aac, setting the 30 second time, changing the format to 4mr and putting it back into i tunes, its in the ringtone section of i tunes but it wont go into my actual ringtones section on the phone?
Before I remember finding a graph that showed the memory usage and what was on the media card, but either I forget where it is or its not on the new .442 OS.Can someone please help me out, I did a search and came up dry.
