i have recently updated my iphone to iOS 5 and it had deleted everything off my phone. i didn't have a chance to back it up at all either using icloud or itunes or anything like that so it is gone.

Can I find out if they are just not displaying somehow or if Desktop Manager backed them up and just didn't restore them?

I have been facing a regular problem since quite some time now even before I had the Belle refresh.
Whenever, I try to add an event in the Calendar or push an event from FB birthdays onto the Calendar, the event disappears after a few minutes.
I have been using Nokia maps on my E71, and I have updated to the latest version, which deleted the maps present on the phone. I now cannot load any maps onto it. While connected to my PC the maps application says that the maps on my phone are corrupt, but I cannot delete them, or load new ones. I have tried deleting the cities folder, and deleting the qf file, but get the same error. I also reinstalled Ovi suite on my PC, same error. I cannot uninstall the maps app on my phone.

I have one area left that I need to get a handle on, and that is keeping track of my prescriptions. I don't have many scripts, but I used my PDA to reference them when I went to the doctor's office as it was much easier to do it that way, than to carry a list. I would like to be able to launch an app and have it show these meds. At present I have them in a form of word document, with the med name, dosage and time taken on a line for each med.

Apart from those usual bug fixes what new realistic features do you all think N97 probably will get? For me I want:

-threaded sms

-fluid kinetic scrolling

-single tap(probably won't happen on n97 though)

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a BB bold and I have a corproeate e-mai laccount installed. I also added my personal gmail account. The major problems I am hacing are:
1. When I send an e-mail from a computer, that sent item does not show up on my BB.
2. and Secondly, but not as important, My BB wants to ALWAYS use folders for e-mails with the same subject. I DO NOT have it set to use folders, but it contineus to. I have tried changing the setting a few times, but the BB does not see mto care and continues to use folders.
i have re-installed the gmail account a few times, and it does not seem to matter for the 2 issues above. Note that I am NOT using m.google.com. My reason is that, just like my corproate account, I want my BB to tell me (a beep, a vibrate, etc - whatever the setting - mine to 2 vibrates) when I recieve an e-mail.
i have just been given a 8120 and after a lot of hard work just about figured it out. The bloke who gave it to me cant remeber much about it so couldn't help me with much. The problem is that i downloaded a few things from blackberry world and a box came up saying i didn't have enough space to continue yet the memory card says it's just about empty. I tried going through the manual but couldn't find the answer there and i even took it to the phone shop. He couldn't help but he did tell me something i didn't know. He said i have to pay £5 a month for the blackberry service!

If I plug it in to the computer then bring up the sd card they come up but they are not there in apps management. Can/how do I get them back. What's the point of saving these if they cannot be retrieved (I know part of it is to save space on device) and why do they show up on the pc and not the phone itself?

I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own.

How do I find where things are stored? Isn't there a way to see the files and folders and where they are, i.e. SIM Card, Memory Card? I can see these using the BB software, but even then it doesn't show what card I'm looking at. I want to find stuff when I'm not connected to my PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI thought it would put the iphone to shame and although certain aspects of it are great, I can't help being let down by some parts. After waiting 2 months for the phone after preordering it in October it seems like things are moving slowly in the development of the phone, correct me if im wrong but there's no mms, no navigation on ovi maps, you can't use the latest PC suite and the biggest bugbear is no music store. Hopefully these things will become available in the not so distant future... maybe im just too impatient!
