IPhone 4s :: IOS 8 / One Side Of The Headphones No Longer Work
Dec 2, 2014Sometime over the last few weeks, I noticed one side of my headphones was dramatically quieter than the other on my iPhone 4S. I cannot figure out how to make each side play at the same volume again. I have not made any changes, but I feel it might have coincided with one of the iOS 8 (8.1, 8.1.1) installs. Here is what I have tested:Â
It is not the headphones because:
I have tested other sets of headphones and they have the same problemÂ
It is not the jack because:
I plugged in my aux jack cord to connect my phone through the jack to my car. Using the cord in my car did not produce the same audio imbalance. Both sides were of equal volumeÂ
It is not the L/R slider because:
I checked the Settings>General>Accessibility slider and it is right in the middle of the L/RÂ

Aug 4, 2010Almost every morning when I check my phone it has turned of the "phone feature" by it self, and by phone feature I mean the way to be able to make or recieve a phone call. When I turn on the display, mini pro ask me for the PIN-number and when I give it that, then everything works fine again... until next morning.

Mar 13, 2012I have an iPhone 4 and recently started to have some problems. First, the button on the side of my phone, that puts the phone on silent is not working. I can move the switch, but my phone stays in silent. However, If I plug my headphones in, Then I can hear everything like I am supposed too. Also, my up volume button does not work. This is with the headphones also. I have tried doing a soft reset, I reset all of my settings, I updated my software, I restored everything back to factory settings, and nothing has fixed it. I bought it from best buy and can send it in for service, but the last time I sent a phone in, it took them 3 months! and I really don't want to go without my phone that long.

Jun 23, 2010It is my goal to own two iPhone 4s tomorrow morning at 7am via my local Apple store without a pre-order. However, my girlfriend and I are currently on a Verizon family plan and despite me constantly explaining how the iPhone will be the best investment she will ever make (I even used to have my own iPhone at the same time as the Verizon phone), she still needs more convincing that AT&T is at least pretty similar to Verizon's service and monthly bill.
Shortened story shorter (the point): I'm looking for some type of up-to-date comparison chart/website to compare the two. I tried Google but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I have a feeling if there's anything out there, MR would know.
I just thought of something else. Incase Apple is so busy tonight that they don't want to cancel Verizon and set me up with AT&T until they "officially" open the store (10am), can I still just pay for the two phones and set them up with our old Verizon numbers and new AT&T plan at a later time? Obviously I would do this to insure I have the phones in my possession and won't need to wait until they have new stock.

For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.

Jan 3, 2010I decided to go with PC Suite for Sync. I think it's a great program (I have never owned a Nokia.) PC Suite does say it is not fully compatible yet with N900. For sync though I have had no trouble. I noticed the backup feature didn't work - it thinks my phone is not connected. But the N900 does have a"Backup feature" on it. So I am guessing I can just backup the N900 using the N900 and then plug it into the computer and read it as a mass storage device - and copy the backup information onto the computer. That should work for backup/restore until they give an update to the program. Is that what others are doing here?
As for music... I don't know what t do. There is Media Sync for Blackberry which will transfer iTunes (not purchased iTunes unless you unlocked yours (which I did) it will transfer your iTunes play lists onto your Blackberry.
Is there something that will get music in the iTunes format onto the N900 - or will I have to convert my music files?

Jul 19, 2014I got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.

Jun 20, 2012I bought an iphone 4s 16GB four days ago and i have noticed that down the camera side it is really hot just now. i have just put it on charge but i know the battery is on the other side. i have turned everything off like wifi and locations and siri and closed all apps that could be running but it is still hot. i was using it on the internet and apps such as facebook right before i noticed this. I dont have insurance on my phone and can not afford a big bill but if there is an issue would i be guaranteed? i live in england and purched the phone sim free from carephone warehouse

BB Storm :: 9500 Turning Off And Not Turning Back On
Feb 13, 2011I had a contract with Vodafone over 2 years ago and decided on the BlackBerry Storm 9500 handset . After 6 Months of receiving the phone it developed a fault, i have returned it for repairs on a number of occasions and the reoccurring problem has never been solved & fixed . After eighteen months the phone will still not turn on and when it does work it turns off within one hour of it working, i have been to the Vodafone shop in Torquay South Devon and they supplied me with a new battery to try but it still switches itself off . I ave talked to Vodafone and i was told a fault has been found on this particular model of handset. After 24 months of having this contract phone i have now upgraded to a BlackBerry Torch . I would like to return the 9500 handset to get a free full repair or a replacement as i now need to use both phones. This phone has also had problems with freezing and locking up
